I stepped over to Runa and whispered,"I dont mean to pry but whats going on? And would it make things worse if I said I wasnt human... to her."

I looked at Ki as my smile faded completly away and I nodded slowly. I opened my mouth to say something but didn't and looked downwards. It took me a moment before I looked back up into his eyes tears at the edge of my eyes. "It dosn't matter though if I'm here or a million miles away. It will continue eating away at me....and when it reaches its peak and comes....there will be no stopping it", I said softly my voice quivering slightly. `I looked at Faeror, "It's a long story....Chan is possesed now, he is evil....completly. And I will be taken over by a plant at the bottom of the lake in less than a week", I said softly. I then heard Takara cry for me and I swam to her and looked at her sadly. "Oh Takara", I whispered feeling more tears building up.

"Shh its ok. I need you to pull together. I have some stuff I need to tell you and Runa. Then I have to go again and see a high elder of the dragon clan." I walked over to the shore and placed my finger on the ground. It created a pile of flint which would burn slowly and a lit a fire. "Thisll take a fair amount of time so come sit down."

Ki frowned and made a silent vow. He would get back at Chan, or the spirits within him, for this. Ki remembered that Chan wasn't supposed to release this upon Runa if she delivered Ming Yue, and now Chan's servant, who Ki KNEW had spoken to Chan since getting to the shrine, had taken her. Ki put aside any other doubts, such as the fact that Runa didn't plan to deliver her, anyway, and that the Samurai's intentions were unknown. Thoses weren't important, not to Ki right now.
He let Runa speak to Takara alone.

"Runa, its been months since he died, I can't bear it any longer, I want the pain to go away. What if I lose another, oh please don't let me lose the man that I love again..if it comes to his life, let me give up mine for him...please...Im begging you." she cried upon her shoulder.

I hugged her tightly, "You cannot die and willnot die Takara. I'm sorry about Raven and about Love and about Kouchi. I'm so sorry, but you are needed by so many. I need you. I know how you hurt, its been a month since Kang died and at times the wound seems as fresh as if it just happened....things like that never go away. I learned that. Yet I learned something else as well, new people can come into your life that you never expected, and can reach your heart when you thought you'd lost it. Just when you think the dark is all around you, someone will save your heart. I will always be there to help you, no matter what", I said continuing to cry on her shoulder. "Just give us a moment Faeror", I said quite upset with him.

"Sorry."...'gaugh' I dont know why but I started to throw up....blood. "What the?!" I spit out some blood onto the ground and ran for the water. I leaped into it and stayed submerged. 3 minutes went by. 10 minutes. I didnt know why I had done it or why it had happened.

"Takara.....I will smile again, like you said I have Ki....but I'm more worried about you right now than me. You don't have to wear a mask and pretend infront of me. If you say your sad and want to cry, I wont stop you. If you want to punch or kick something, I'll stand back, but still stay near you", I said softly with a small smile on my face. "As for the lake, a little bit more water won't hurt it", I said with a chuckle. I looked in the direction Ki had gone and back to Takara and where Faeror had suddenly disappeared. "I would give anything to see you happy again, Takara....anything", I said softly and turned to go but stopped with my back to her and my face down. "I'm always here for you, whether you need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.....come get me no matter what. Understand", I asked her.
