☆ ☆【Piper kept a close eye on the other Pokemon as she looked for another opening to strike, noting how in spite of their attacks leaving very little visible wounds on the abomination the combined assault managed to push it back a little. Following her and Radium’s initial attacks on the beast, Ai joined in as the Espeon surprisingly summoned a bunch of sharp rocks to erupt from the ground underneath the Bidoof monster’s feet. Vivace jumped in too, firing of a bright beam of pink energy almost similar to the one Piper had used earlier. Seemed she hadn’t been the only one discovering that they had suddenly gained knowledge of a move that they were sure they hadn’t learned before. Still… using that attack had felt so natural to her… Was that because of how this dream world worked? Because she felt almost certain that she wouldn’t be able to know an attack like that in the real world, not by any natural means at least...
Of course, with the battle still raging there was hardly time to think on it. Though it had been pushed back somewhat by their attacks, the monster was able to recover on Darkrai’s command as it moved forward once more. Some of the smaller Pokemon around its legs quickly moved to get out of the way to avoid getting squished underneath the beast’s massive feet, and then it moved to raise one enormous leg and brought its foot down towards a Bewear that was attacking it below with intent to try and crush it. Piper gave a low growl, quickly soaring upwards to bring herself so that she was more level with the giant brute’s face. ”T-Take this you big b-bully!” she shouted, opening her mouth once more, pink energies gathering within as she charged up her new attack. The energy surged forth, forming a flower-like shape in front of her muzzle before shooting forth that strong, bright beam. This time she aimed it right at one of the abomination’s eyes in hopes to at least temporarily blind it and buy the Pokemon below at least a bit of time to avoid its attack.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【Mogwai growled as it seemed that his attempts to hinder the nightmarish fiend were about as effective to the being as a Combee’s sting, however, it seemed that between the combined strikes of all the Pokemon joining in to fight Darkrai and his guardian did manage to push it back a little. At least it seemed like they were getting somewhere, but the beast quickly recovered on its master’s commands and began stepping forth once again. Other smaller Pokemon around its lower body quickly ran to avoid getting stepped on, though Mogwai was determined to stand his ground as the titanic being loomed over him. Suddenly, it lifted up a huge, clawed foot and aimed it squarely at him, bringing it down with the intent to try and crush him. Holding both hands up, the Bewear pushed all his strength back in return as he managed to stop the massive foot from coming down on him, for at least a few moments. Taking the opportunity, he quickly moved to step back before his grip faltered, but while he’d managed to avoid the worst of the hit and avoided being squished like a bug the blow had still done a fair bit of damage to him as it shook the ground around the monster. Huffing with relief and exertion as he managed to keep himself from falling over, the Bewear took a breath as he quickly recovered in preparation to get right back into the fight.
He narrowed his eyes at Darkrai’s call, how dare he name them as ‘false knights’! Even though Mogwai was still learning about what it was to actually be a knight, and even so it might not be entirely correct, to call them ‘false’ was hardly fair. As if Darkrai had any right to be calling them cowards and such, when he was the one hiding and letting his colossal minion do all the fighting for him! Daphnes, of course, was very righteously outraged by this comment, retorting that Darkrai knew nothing about what made a knight ‘true’ or ‘false’ before furiously ramming into the Bidoof creature with his thick, hard shell. ”Yoooooouuuu reeeeeaaaaal coooooowaaaaaard heeeeere,” the Bewear snarled, pointing an accusatory paw up towards the nightmare master. Maybe he ought to come down and actually fight them himself instead of hiding behind his guardian and taunting them from afar… he should count himself lucky that Mogwai himself was unable to fly or hover otherwise the bear would’ve taken that opportunity to clock him right in his apparently non-existent mouth. For now, though, it seemed he would have to settle for taking out his fury and frustration on this giant monstrosity. He had noticed the tiny silver Eevee nearby taking the opportunity to attack while the guardian had been distracted with him, the tiny fox managing to get in a strike against the beast’s heel. Deciding to keep in line with his initial plan, Mogwai dashed forward, cocking a fist back as he approached the leg that had almost squished him. Veering to move around it, the Bewear launched yet another freezing cold fist, aiming for the back of its leg this time. However, he figured it would probably be best to not make the mistake of standing still this time, and was quickly on the move towards his next target. Maybe if he attacked multiple limbs at roughly the same time... that might be able to eventually upset the thing's balance and bring it crashing to the ground. It probably wasn't the best kind of plan all things considered, but it was a plan nonetheless. It seemed his usual schtick wouldn't work too well for this particular fight with how large this thing was, and at the very least he could make himself a more difficult target to hit if he could stay on the move.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【Fianna had to admit that Daiki had quite the clever idea as he used his illusion ability to transform himself into his usual disguise to give them a reference of what to look for if they were to meet again, unable to help slipping in a comment about him still being a green haired clown even in human form. Although… his human guise was admittedly quite handsome, even Daiki himself knew this well enough as he remarked that it was hard for a fox like him to be unattractive. The Braixen grinned widely at that, at the very least the green hair made his human form quite distinct, she couldn’t imagine there would be anyone else who looked like that. After giving them enough time to memorize the image of his human form, he used his illusions once more to show them what Dakota looked like. Much like the Zoroark himself, ‘Ducky’ wasn’t half bad either in terms of appearance, and she got a good impression that he was quite kind and approachable, definitely the sort of person that she felt Phoenix could easily be friends with.
However, Daiki spoke up, mentioning that if she thought the Zoroark himself was a playboy… it seemed Dakota shared a bit of that aspect in common with Daiki as well. Still, he assured that his trainer had toned it down a little in recent times. ”I see… I suppose I should’ve expected as much, but I hardly think it’ll be that much of a problem,” Fianna said with a shrug, though a hint of amusement lingered in her eyes as a thought crossed her mind, ”Although I imagine it could lead to some pretty interesting scenarios~” Given that Phoenix didn’t have all that much experience with people, the fire fox couldn’t help but think that perhaps the redhead’s reaction to suddenly being flirted with would be quite amusing, to say the least. Was it wrong for her to want to see it for herself? Perhaps Daiki’s mischief was starting to rub off on her after all…
Unfortunately, with her inherent lack of any kind of illusory powers to give a visual representation of her own trainer, Fianna was left with trying to describe to them what Phoenix looked like to the best of her abilities. Of course, she figured that Daiki wouldn’t be able to recreate the redhead’s appearance just based on description alone since it was rather vague, but hopefully it would be enough to at least give them a good semblance of an idea. She nodded as the Zoroark mentioned that it was a shame she didn’t have a picture to share, then again being able to get her hands on one wouldn’t be an easy feat. Phoenix didn’t exactly strike her as the kind of person who really enjoyed having her picture taken… Still, the Braixen grinned at Daiki’s comment about looking out for redheads with a sassy fox companion. ”Heh, well I’m not sure how many of those you might run into out there, I imagine my kind are quite popular with redheads in particular~” she said with a light laugh. Shame that she didn’t have any kind of distinctive coloring like Daiki had to make her stand out more among other Braixen, but maybe that might be subject to change sometime in the future… She was still debating on whether or not she even wanted to finish her evolution, though a part of her felt a bit more comfortable with just staying as she was. Maybe she ought to discuss that a bit further with Phoenix once they got out of here…
Suddenly, a loud, booming roar that caused the whole mountain to rattle and shake interrupted their little pow-wow and drew their attention to the top of the mountain, catching sight of the dark, looming shape that they could just see from their vantage point. Fianna felt her fur bristling in anticipation… whatever that thing was in the near distance definitely felt dangerous. She nodded in agreement with Daiki’s statement about it not sounding natural, the Zoroark becoming more hesitant about proceeding forward. Not that she could blame him… even she found herself growing very uneasy as she stared at the enormous thing that seemed to be awaiting them atop the mountain. Her ears swiveled at Daiki’s question of where ‘starpants’ had gone, blinking upon having just realized that the Medicham wasn’t with their group right now. ”Uh…s**t…” she hissed under her breath, they had been so caught up in their conversation that they hadn’t noticed just how far ahead of them the Fighting-type had gotten until now. ”Well, I imagine the only way he could have possibly gone was up ahead from here, if anything he might already be at the peak,” she suggested, gesturing for the rest to follow as Shade, who she only now just realized looked radically different from before, kept pushing onwards, "C'mon... We should be able to catch up if we move quickly..."
As they grew closer and closer towards the peak, the enormous being they had seen from before became clearer and clearer as they approached. What greeted them was… completely unexpected as Fianna found herself gazing at the form of the titanic abomination that appeared to be made of a terrifying menagerie of parts like some kind of twisted chimera. What in the world was THAT?! No god would allow something so abominable to exist in the real world… hell, this thing shouldn’t even exist in any kind of dream or nightmare either, and yet it was here right in front of them in all of its hideous glory… However, upon spotting the Bidoof head that sat atop the monstrous body, she hesitated as some of her initial fear began to dissipate and be replaced by a bit of amusement. Terrifying as this monster was, the head seemed almost comical with how out of place it looked compared to the rest of it. However, she hardly had time to laugh about it as she saw the dark, ghost-like shape hovering in the air above the monstrous thing, commanding it to attack the groups of Pokemon already gathered at the peak and engaging the thing in combat. ”Darkrai…” she murmured, it couldn’t be anyone else but the legendary master of nightmares himself… And yet even after coming all this way to fight him, Darkrai seemed more focused on letting this damn beast do all the dirty work for him while he watched the fight from afar. Apparently they would have to beat this thing to be able to get to him… But Fianna hesitated momentarily to jump into the fray as her eyes vigilantly swept along the battlefield, trying to locate any sign of their star-patterned Medicham companion among the crowd if he had indeed managed to find his way up here.】☆ ☆

Ulani squeaked and scrambled out of the way of potentially being smooshed, making sure though to stay close to Prim and the others. This thing was so rude! And scary, but she had to be brave to protect her friends. Puffing her cheeks and clenching her fists in determination, she rushed at the thing to get in a quick attack. She'd show this bully!

As eager as Prim had been to finally face off with Darkrai, upon finally setting her eyes on him she found herself faltering. Not because of the legendary himself--he was just a wispy punk who talked too much--but because of the absolute horror, and horrendous joke, of a pokemon he summoned forth from whatever black nightmare it'd been blindly assembled in. It was just... so ugly, Prim actually found herself getting upset. Thankfully she had a knack for channeling her anger into moves, more specifically a pink beam of energy that she shot directly at the creature's abdomen.
And she was far from done! She was going to beat this thing into submission, with the help of Ulani, her teammates, and these strangers, before delivering pain onto Darkrai. Forget offering him berries, he didn't deserve them!

For once Chickpea found himself truly frustrated at himself, his little legs just weren't carrying him fast enough! It was all that sightseeing he'd done earlier, if he'd just paid attention, he could've made it to the top of the mountain at this point and been helping everyone else out; he was quickly turning into a poor adventurer, and even poorer knight. Though not quite at the summit yet, Chickpea watched helplessly as Sir Mogwai was sent sprawling to the ground by a stomp. He frowned, and then huffed, that was two of his teammates now! His mind suddenly running a mile a minute, the Chikorita began charging forward, while at the same time quickly shoveling his lucky mushroom into his mouth. Natu had said that these were rare, and useful, and dream or not he still believed in the luck of his mushroom, and he needed all the luck he could get; even if that meant it'd have to come from inside him.
Teeth working furiously to chew, he whipped his head forward in a frenzy (nearly choking in the process) to send out pink and purple leaves flying out towards the enemy. As they sailed through the air Chickpea put on a final burst of speed, and managed to scramble his way to the summit of the mountain at the same time his leaves found their mark.
