Rep woke up slowly, but fought it every single step of the way. This time he didn't want to wake up. The haze was gone and the paranoia had receded back to its old awful levels (yet still very high) levels. He ached, his arm ached, but mostly he over almost every word, every lie he'd said while he was lashing out. He'd broken his promise, he'd tried to harm Harrison, something he'd felt without a doubt he was stronger than no matter what powers twisted his mind.
He curled up in a ball because it was the last bastion of safety he'd always had when he couldn't deal with what was happening to him. He could taste his own thick clotted blood in his throat still and smell it in his sinuses, cloying and tinny. He didn't know what had happened to him really, other than the voices, the doors and the whiteness. Something had gone wrong in his very mind.
It was all excuses though, the way people always said that he tried to explain away his failures. All that mattered was that he'd ******** up again. Another ******** in a long line of them
He didn't uncurl.

Noemi blinked, touching her head to her forehead. A goodbye kiss? Milo was leaving her...Milo left her, she couldn't even see him in the chaos of just EVERYONE, and she stood there confused and lost because what...what was she even suppose to do.
Herd people to the room C?
She just stood there awkwardly.

It was something that was bound to happen given how long this has dragged on for already. When Niffy gave a low-pitched growl to let her know that he had accumulated enough charges for what he had jokingly dubbed as their special combo, Nellie simply didn't think but act, swinging her arm this time with claws outstretched to claw at Zascha's side in the hope of bringing him down for good. CEE HAS THE PARANOIA VIRUSCee hadn't been ready to be tripped. With her feet out from under her, she hit the floor hard and her skull cracked sharply into the ground. The trainee's head spun for a moment and in that one sharp breath and flash of pain the devilish whispers stopped. But momentarily they returned with vengeance and Cee jolted with a furious noise. "You ******** beeitch.." Her whips flashed back into her hands, one striking out to wrap around Sasha's throat. The metal compressed sharply before a vicious yank pulled it back. He stayed close to Shiloh, because the closer he was, the more reassured he would be that Shiloh was okay, that they were both okay, that nothing was wrong between the two of them, and that Shiloh was safe and sound, right next to him. Every little brush of their shoulders or the touch of their hands as they reached for things was just another constant reminder that they were both still alive. And Ian needed that.
"Kind of," he said, frowning at the pieces in his hands as he tried to push them together. "Come on, come on, it's like...they're really pushing against each other, it's like trying to fit two magnets together that have opposite polars, or whatever the term for it is."
He tried to figure out if he was facing it the wrong way, cast a sideways glance at Shiloh, and bumped his shoulder against his boyfriends, Ian taking a deep, steadying breath.
"Hey, we're okay," he said quietly, and let go just long enough to reach out and squeeze Shiloh's wrist. "We can do it, don't worry. And after this, you and me, we'll go and get drinks and we'll go back to our place, and we'll just be together, okay, we're gonna be all right."
The items in his hands snapped, sending something glowing and green across Ian's palms, and he gave a little start of surprise, holding up his lightly glowing fingers.
"Well, that's weird as hell."

Dakota couldn't even make it to Molly who, from a distance, he could see was attached to the wall like a clover and ginger urchin. Since she didn't seem to be moving, and because Dakota hadn't paid attention to where he was going.
He was drawn into a fight with two black haired chicks. One he recognized as Sasha, the other well...
He gave Sasha a mild look at that temper, the infection..of whatever showing and brought Chama up to draw her attention away from the smaller..black haired chick.
"Look..." Dakota slapped at Sasha's fear shield. "here."

"You know what?" Tuck's voice was low. "You're right. I shouldn'ta talked to you like that. So here's an idea. Why don't you just walk on back over there to the rest of 'em? I ain't in the mood to play boyfriend right now. I just wanna do the s**t we gotta do. That's all. So you just go on an' head on back over there, because I just decided I'd rather deal with this s**t alone." He paused, glanced over at her, and raised his brows. "Go on. Don't say anything, you just start walkin' on over there an' tell them what great ideas you got, okay? Because I ain't in the mood to hear it."

The small woman had come to expect such enthusiastic greetings as the one she received from Arorangi, and found herself whooping with glee, her hand releasing Oliver's wrist as she was lifted and crushed into Aro's chest, the impact made slightly more uncomfortable than usual with the added body of the young life intermediate, and the tip of a spear digging into her shoulder. She let out a breathless laugh anyways, her face leaning against him as she tried to hold on to this feeling, the one that felt like her heart was fluttering up inside of her throat instead of in her chest where it belonged, while the tightly coiled tension in her stomach that she had never let show on her brightly smiling face now eased away. Arorangi was okay! She had felt so bad for leaving him there...but she'd had to believe he and Oliver would be all right without her, and he had been! She was set back down on the ground far too soon for her liking (though it was rather nice to not have that spear jabbing into her anymore!), but soon a large, warm, and tanned hand was encompassing her own, and she squeezed a hold of it tight, her cheeks flushed from the excitement. "Oh yes! Okay of course!" She let herself be pulled along easily, coming to a stop beside Aro and giving Oliver yet another bright grin. "There is no need for you to be sorry, Oliver! You are alive, and whole, and not being a total bother like those ones." She nodded in the direction of the infected that were still being taken down, while she happily stayed out of everyone's way. And then she picked up one of the runes, giving it a quizzical look before trying to find the right piece to match to it. The butterflies in her stomach from having her hand held for so long were rather distracting, however.

That last swing and claw to his side did it. His body slump to the floor, motionless. Face buried in the dirt as Zascha was finally knocked out. A small group of people rushed over and administered the anti-virus as quickly as possible. It seemed to work pretty fast for as soon as they were done the Moon hunter had rolled onto his back with a groan. The color returning to his blood and dirt caked face. baby_gwing Last minute overkill lol.

SASHA HAS THE PARANOIA VIRUSSasha was having none of it, and she attacked again - but she was not expecting the blow that came from her other side. It was some sort of giant, and Sasha turned to square off against him after Cee was no longer an issue. HP: 19/60 DMG: 10 TAR: Cee CHG: 3/3 Quote: She can't recognize friend from foe, and everyone to her looks terrifying. There is no hunger however, just paranoia, an extreme case of it. She has half her HP and can attack as per usual. If she does more than 10 damage in a single turn, anyone surrounding her also contracts that paranoia (can't tell friend from foe/ everyone looks like a terrifying enemy), at half health. If anyone with the virus reaches 0 HP, they can be KO'ed to be treated the same way. Anyone who contracts the virus also spreads it by dealing more than 10 damage in a single turn.Anyone with this strain of virus should post that they have the paranoia virus in bold goldenrod + in ooc below list its effects! This virus cannot overlap with the existing one.

Somehow the call from the fake Nora had totally thrown Abbi for a loop and she had been completely despondent for the duration of whatever it was that had happened once the lights had returned to being on once more. "Ah! Leslie! Where did you go?!" He had been right here just a second ago! Maybe... There was something about matching some runes, there had been instructions on the intercom, whatever. Abbi was still mostly confused, but figured she could at least stay out of the way as best she could while she wandered to the runes. Before she could fully get there, she saw a sweet exchange and then a solo Noemi. With a small noise so as not to startle the girl too much, the teen approached from Noemi's side with a small wave. "That was cute..." She smiled and tugged on her friend's elbow, an indication to follow her to the runes. "C'mon, let's go... Put runes together or something I'unno, I kind of... Went all wonky." Well, just a little wonky in comparison to others...

When Mimsy's eyes opened, bleary and reluctant, she vaguely registered that she was still tied to Robert, and that someone was attacking him. Attacking them. This was an entirely unacceptable turn of events, and though she did not at all feel like participating in combat at the moment, there was work to be done. She sloppily kissed his cheek again, leaving behind a smudge of gore. Then an uncoordinated hand haphazardly nudged her glasses back into place, and another look at the offending hunter provided some very useful insight: That hunter was Kostya. The taste of blood was a heavy delicacy in her mouth, and it dribbled from the corners of her lips as she licked them once, slow and deliberate. Her pulse began to pick up speed at a more rapid pace, until the surge of adrenaline became visibly evident in the accelerated rise and fall of her chest. A smile fought to find its place in her concerningly absent expression, flickering in and out of existence every now and then, accompanied by short, breathy bursts of laughter. The taste was so sweet, so warm, and she could have more if she could just tear him open, claw at the putrid, rotten core of the one who had abandoned her, destroy him with her own hands until there was nothing left of him, just as there should be. Her breathing grew more sharp and abrupt as her mind danced effortlessly through the what ifs of this choice, and oh the solutions felt so satisfying now, so satisfying that she just couldn't take it, she had to have this, she had to-- There was no battle cry, no growl, no feral screech as she lunged towards him. Just an empty silence, the most fitting of sounds, as she strained against the bindings to tear at any part of him that she could reach, all teeth and ragged nails. HP: 60 DMG: 9 to Kostya Quote: Mimsy is not infected (but is goddamn crazy).

"Hm?" Heidi looked up as he began to speak, only for the world to come crashing down around her. Disbelief was the only way to describe the look on Heidi's face. Play boyfriend?
What did I do..?
Her head shook slowly. She couldn't believe she was hearing this. He wasn't actually saying this. Heidi cleared her throat to try and lessen the painful lump forming in it, sniffing a bit and looking toward the ground instead of up at Tuck when her eyes suddenly stung. She closed her eyes. Play boyfriend. Like it was just. Some kind of. Thing. He could just.
He's stressed. He's upset. He was a zombie like five minutes ago. You'd be upset, too.
Breathing in deeply, Heidi lifted her head quickly to flash Tuck her usual bright grin, tear-filled eyes and all, and gave him a thumb's up. Right. Okay. She wouldn't say a word. Even if Heidi tried to say anything she wasn't sure she'd be able to get words out anyway.
She backed away a few steps, wiping away a few stray tears while turning away from Tuck and walking away from him.

Noemi jumped only a little as Abbi took her arm and then stared at the redheaded girl. Something to do, something not to trouble Milo as he fought. She desperately wanted to keep watch but at this point she had lost sight of him, and she didn't dare venture out farther then she was.
Instead her hand squeezed in Abbi's and she nodded. If the two small hunters could do the rune thing together, then they could get the mission over with faster.
"Si, Ah...you were not infected to go..ah wonky si?" Noemi looked once more over her shoulder and then focused on Abbi. "So...so what do we do?"
She had one rune together, now...did she match it with another?

She immediately stepped back the moment Tuck began to stir, watching for signs that the shot hadn't worked. When he refused to look at her at first, Stormy squatted down to pick up her weapon. By the time she rose and desummoned Thane back to his ring, she caught a glimpse of his eyes. Lively. Conscious. Hating. It was a sad fact that she felt so relieved to see it. He made his stance quite clear. Stormy wisely chose not to say a word, idly twisting the ring around to give herself something else to look at than Evan's defeated look until she heard the two Moons start to walk away. "Stay safe," she mumbled to their backs. Her shoulders slumped as they remembered the weight on them. Her fault. She barely registered what the instructions were: all she could focus on was the growing pain in her leg—the adrenaline from battling stuck was tapering off, and she had nearly shattered her knee cap going down the tunnel—and the thud of her heartbeat in her ears. "Where to?" she asked Evan and Gale in a small but controlled voice. No crying. Just work. Heidi too seemed to be breaking off from Tuck, and the Mist's eyes followed her for a moment, wondering if she'd like to come back or if she too wanted space.
