Still she kept focused on the fight, quickly ducking to dodge Herald's next attack. A bright orb appeared in her hand and she launched it at him. If it hit, it would create a large explosion that would hit both of them. Never Again...Herald growled as Emma dodged his punches. When she formed the fireball Herald crossed his arms in the form of an X. He turned himself so the attack hit his arms dead center, helping to protect himself a little against the explosion. He felt the burns cover his entire body and grimaced. He was using up a lot more power in this fight than he had expected. He was glad he had waited until he was fully recovered to face Emma like this. If he had done so with only a portion of his power he would be defeated for sure. As soon as the explosion had finished he charged forward, attempting to headbutt Emma while the green energy continued to attack her from all sides. Will I be bound in chains

She quickly moved backwards, catching herself on her arms "Not this time..." she hissed as she felt her body get more burns. She quickly sent her leg up to kick him hard in the face. She also did it as a way to gain a little distance between them, quickly flipping away from him after she sent the kick and landing on her feet. She put her arms up in a defensive position, ready for whatever was next. She didn't show it, but the fight was starting to get to her as well as the burns. Never Again...Herald's head jerked sideways as Emma's kick hit him in the face. He was unable to react in time for Emma to escape from him. He focused his energy again, raising his power to about 90%. "You're stronger than I thought," he told her as he watched her brace herself. "I'm...impressed." It was rare for Herald to compliment someone else on their combat abilities. In fact, Atticus was probably the only other person who had received one. "The Reaver will never see that coming from you."Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald nodded slowly before vanishing again, appearing much closer to Emma and inhaling deeply. He shot out a bright stream of green flames towards her before disappearing again, reappearing upside-down above her, reaching out to grab her. If he succeeded he would shoot downwards while holding onto her until he slammed straight into the ground with her, both head-first. Will I be bound in chains

She noticed Herald was gone afterward but couldn't react fast enough when he grabbed her. Next thing she knew, the ground was coming towards her and fast. They both slammed into the ground and Emma twitched for a moment, making it appear that her neck broke. Suddenly white flames exploded around Emma and she launched away from Herald, catching herself and holding her head with a pretty pissed off expression on her face. She had made a thin barrier last minute too cushion her head. It didn't work as well as she thought though. "You enjoy tossing your weight around huh?" She asked as she cracked her neck and massaged it for a moment. Suddenly she launched a barrage of white orbs that would explode once they got close to Herald. ☾± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±: . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Never Again...Herald's eyes widened slightly in worry as he looked over at Emma whose neck appeared to be broken. He was relieved when she launched away from him suddenly, showing that she was still intact, though he didn't let her see it. He looked over at her as she spoke to him. "It has its moment," he replied before she launched a barrage of white orbs. He quickly exploded into the air, dodging most of them though several exploded against his legs sending burning pain throughout his entire body. Looking down at her he began charging his strength. He took a deep breath, his chest expanding massively before he exhaled his flare artillery once again sending a stream of hundreds of green fireballs straight towards Emma in every direction. Now that she was further away the fireballs would be more spread out meaning less were likely to hit her in any one location but that it would be much harder for her to dodge all of them together. Will I be bound in chains

Some of them got to her and she did her best to dodge them. By the time she was sure all of them were gone, Emma was covered in burns and cuts. She did her best not to show that she was kind of out of breath as different plans of action went through her head. A sword made of white flames appeared in each hand and she create two waves of fire that came racing towards Herald. ☾± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±: . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

Never Again...Herald used his most common tactic when faced with a projectile attack; he charged. When they connected he took serious damage. More than he expected. Still, by charging through explosives he was able to limit the damage to himself to a single instant. As he came out the other side he sent two beast-slashes towards Emma to try and give himself time to reach her and re-engage in hand-to-hand combat. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald came towards Emma again, this time accelerating his power to just over 90%. It was a little boost but it was enough to allow him to dodge Emma's fiery attack. He spun to the side before righting himself and moving in close. As soon as he reached her he threw a roundhouse kick at her side in an attempt to slow her down by knocking the wind out of her. Will I be bound in chains

She attempted to dodge the kick but was too slow to react. Never Again...Herald took a deep breath as Emma launched her new inferno, exhaling an inferno of his own. The flames clashed in mid-air for a moment before Herald's flames overtook Emma's and burned them away. However, Emma's flames had been strong enough to stop Herald's from reaching her. He shot up into the air until he was at the same height she was. "Running low on energy?" He asked her, noticing her decrease in speed. She was still a bit faster than him, but the gap was closing and Herald certainly wasn't low on energy yet. Will I be bound in chains
