She sighed as she tucked the ball under her arm. Her ribs gave a cry of protest when she began to move, but Remy ignored the sharp pain. Her breath was still coming in awkward gasps, but she could deal with it. She had to be ready to block steals and fly. She turned to face the goals, and zipped off to meet them. Sometimes you need to step back..... Vanessa darted after the girl. The fifth year was well aware of how much a bludger hurt to be hit with, after all she did have four years of playing on her house team counting this year, so she took notice of the clear pain the second year was in. It didn't stop her from attempting to steal. No. They need the points just as much as the gryffindors did.

Sometimes you need to step back..... A frown played across Vanessa's lips as her steal was dodged. It seemed even pain couldn't slow down the second year. If they weren't opponents in this match she would definately applaud the fact, but since they were playing one another the blonde wasn't as thrilled about it. She closed her eyes for a few moments. She couldn't get distracted by her thought right now. When she opened them again the girl's eyes breifly darted around the feild taking in the locations of all the other players. As having seem to be the pattern, Amanda and Daisy are doing their own thing not even acting as if they were on the feild, The Slytheirn beaters were looking for the bludgers as were the gryffindor's. The Seekers were in their solo dance competition, neither one seeming to see the ball that could end all this.
Once she was settled with the locations of everyone, The pureblood turned her attention back to the chaser she was tailing. Her eyes surveyed the other girl for a few moments before she pulled up along side her and attempted to steal.

Sometimes you need to step back..... Vanessa had taken to fly below the younger girl for a while to see if there was any possible ways to make a steal successful. Unfortunately there weren't many obvious ones and the goals were drawing closer. No better time then the present. taking a breath, She pulled her broom into a vertical climb just away enough so that she wouldn't actually crash into the second year. And attempted to steal.

Dominic cut around the field as his own teammate, Vanessa, maneuvered safely away from the latest steal attempt and soared into the scoring zone before propelling the quaffle towards the rings, and without the gryffindor keeper in sight, it swept effortlessly inside for ten points. Only a silent cheer acknowledged the victorious feat before he was on his way again. As the opposing chaser caught wind of the quaffle, Dom was swerving into the side of a rogue bludger, he spun, whipping his broom around he used full force of velocity as he beat his bat into the side of the bludger straight for Remy, even if she is just a girl she was proving to be their biggest threat so far.

Sometimes you need to step back..... A smile was the expression that pushed it's way across Vanessa's face. It seemed the girl was having a lot of facial expression changes during this game. But this one was reasonable, Jasmine had blocked the shot, barely but she managed, now Slytherin could take the lead in the game. She gripped the ball close to her as the blond fifth year started speeding down the feild. They had the chance to pull away, and she wasn't going to give that up easily.
