It's probably a new character that gets introduced just this episode for the sake of development. Like Sarasim for Cyborg in that one episode of Teen Titans.

@Stray: Yup, (possible spoiler ahead) but its actually two new people that get introduced. One is the one he spoke of, the other is one who could have been on the team instead, but Kaldur went and became a part of it. Really good little show, didn't see it from the beginning, but got at a pretty good part to get enough info. 3nodding

Also,
sadly I have not heard back from Babs yet, so life must really have her occupied. That being said, if she doesn't turn up by tomorrow afternoon when I'm home from class, I'll get the story moving to the big weekend trip. (Fitting that it happens on a saturday isn't it?)
