Callysto's heart fluttered rapidly when Lillian turned to her and gave her a short peck. Gods, how she'd missed Lillian. Every day she had spent away her heart shattered by the pain of being away from the lovely woman. The silver-haired woman wrapped her arms around the smaller brunette. "Oh, Love it was terrible; just a bunch of elderly wizards talking to butterflies." Callysto rolled her eyes and hugged the woman tighter. Of course, she had exaggerated just a bit; her trip had started out rather well, she had been able to help some Norwegian wizarding-folk communicate with a newly discovered species of magical butterfly. But after the excitement of the new discovery had gone away, the pain of being away from Lillian was too much, she had to return. "I'm much more interested to hear about the changes that have gone on around here."

Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
Lillian gave Callysto a watery smile. She'd been a bit teary lately after everything that had happened.
"Well...I'll just...summarize it. At the start of this school year, we got two...interesting, new students. One is a Gryffindor, Lucas...he's a werewolf. A few close friends of his know about it, including his girlfriend, who is becoming an animagus at quite an amazing rate to help him out. Then the other one..." A shadow crossed Lillian's face and she whispered; "Rhiannon. I swear, she's like the devil in a young girl. I truly thought she was possessed at first, but no. It's worse. She's killed two unicorns already and she's almost 15. She...she used the torture curse on the Gryffindor prefect, and was sent to Azkaban for a month...where she watched her father, a former death eater, receive the dementor's kiss. Then later she beat a Slytherin until he has memory loss, and her boyfriend is the flying professor. I only discovered shortly after that...well, her and Lucas...see, she was there the night her relatives attacked him and gave him the bite. Lucas was the only one out of at least a dozen boys to live because Rhiannon, around 8 or 9 at the time...dragged him out of the woods. But...because she didn't think she'd see Lucas again, she continued following in the death eater's footsteps as bait to lure children into the woods on full moon. They've both seen plenty of carnage, huh?"
Lillian had to sit down for this one.
"And Donavon, the new herbology teacher, recently married the potions master. But Donavon is muggle-born and was very poor until he started working here. He lived in a trailer park, and it was blown away in a tornado, a friend who loved him, Emily, died as well. He was so devastated it sapped him of his magic and he walked here with broken ribs and no food and I had to fix his punctured lung...Lucas is in the hospital wing right now because of that random snowstorm, he got frostbite on full moon...and...yeah there's a bunch of new students this year, some are odd and dress in victorian styles, half-campires, i swear these two girls look exactly alike, and then some are just the average."
She took a deep breath.
"Now that I think of it, I don't know how I dealt with all tis without you here."

Callysto watched with concern as Lillian relayed all that had happened in the past months. She raised a thin silver eyebrow at the mention of this girl, Rhiannon. Callysto knew from her own childhood what it was like to grow up with a Death Eater as a parent, it wasn't easy to avoid following in the same footsteps. "What house is the child?" She asked when Lillian finished. She would need to introduce herself to the new staff eventually, but that could wait. "What has been done to assist her?"
The half-elf was impressed with Lillian, but Lillian was a strong woman, incredibly so; so it didn't shock her to learn she had been able to handle everything so far. "Don't worry anymore Love; I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. You'll never be alone again."

"Rhiannon? Slytherin. She's been taking lessons with me about her behavioral issues as mandatory by the Ministry...but she's drank unicorn's blood twice, slaughtered one...without even a wand. I don't think there's much hope for her. If any."
Lillian sighed again and leaned on Callysto with a small smile on her face.
Now that Callysto was back, everything felt a lot simpler. Going through these things with Lucas, Rhiannon, Rose, Fionna, Caiden, Al, Richard...it had taken its toll on her all right. She just wasn't sure how to cope with all of it at first, just because it all seemed to happen at once. Rhiannon going to Azkaban was one of the hardest things Lillian had ever faced as Headmaster, watching that hopeless girl get dragged off, just to find out she'd saved a life and murdered hundreds. She had been complete and independent, as she still was, but Callysto sure as heck made things easier.

Ayamae. I know we had our disagreements. Our arguments. I know I was stupid. I know you thought I was donavon and that he didn't exist. Yeah, I did post for him a lot and he sent me things to stay in the storyline, etc. But I really did have a best friend that loved gaia at the time. His real name was Jeffri. We aren't together anymore or anything. And his parents really did hate that he was online giving out loads of info. That much is true. But I'm asking you if you seriously want all that to get between us. Because I feel pretty stupid that it did. I'm sorry I didn't tell you the entire truth about jeffri and me, I am. But we're online. I've had people stalk me before because I gave them a touch too much information. We're thinking of getting the guild back together. You were a great friend and writer. What do you say?
