A chirp-like laughter came from the bird as she heard John try to talk bird. She heard some thunder and looked up, seeing that it was starting to rain. One drop hit her wing and nearly took out the feathers, making her shift back to normal, only with wings so she could stay in the sky. "Ouch!" she winced and rubbed a burnt spot on the back of her hand where the rain touched her.

John closed a eye when he went over to her his aura turned into a cover "You ok"

"Yeah, just..." Jane rubbed her arm then looked at the rain. "This isn't ordinary rain." she said and looked at him. "Know what it is?"

"Acid rain"He said to her as he looked at his aura the acid makeing it flair up when it hit "Someone is makeing this rain it's stronger then normal acid rain"

"They're making it rain, eh?" Jane smirked a little while staring at some dead birds that were hit by the rain. "Who could do that?"

"Y'know, as much as I'd love talking about this, maybe we should go someplace else?" Janet murmured. She wasn't used to having wings, and staying up this high for this long definitely exhausted her.

Damian Foster Damian wandered over to the beach and turned around, waiting for Myka while digging his hands into his jacket's pockets. "Why you decided to come to the beach during winter I'll never know!" he shivered.

 Myka giggled, her fingers playing with the soft fabric of her new dress. "Oh come on, you big baby, it's not that cold. For Heaven's sake, I'm in a dress and I'm fine. If you're so freezing, I'll start a fire. Now, can you set up the picnic?" Smiling sweetly, she hurriedly gathered as much wood as possible and changed a good 30 pounds of sand into firewood, putting all of it into a big pile. Finally, she clicked her fingers and set it ablaze, the great bonfire lighting the beach and warming them instantly. "There, better?"

"Don't you make fun of me, lil lady." Damian huffed (his face-> =3=). He sat on the sand and held his hands up to the fire, sighing in pleasure at the warmth. "Much better." he sighed happily after setting up the picnic blanket.

Sitting beside him, Myka brought her knees up the her chin and pulled her hair from it's braid, letting the wind blow it to the side. "You know, my brother used to hate the beach. He figured that since Grandfather loved it, it was the source of all evil. Oddly enough, I could never get enough of the sea. I used to dream of a life on it. But, then Kira died and Seb sent me away, so I had to give it up. To this day, it's my biggest regret." She stared into the fire, letting the heat overcome her. "It seems that at Black Rose, regret is a common feeling."
