Luc groaned lazily, shifting onto his back in bed. He'd fallen back asleep, somewhere along the line, and now was not sleeping as soundly as he should be, for this time of the morning. He blamed the alchohol, as he rolled onto his side and purged his out-of-use stomach of it's liquid contents into the wastebasket next to the bed.
Bastian lay stretched out on his bed, tired, but not ready to sleep, even though it was late in the morning. He wondered, vaugely, if his brother was al right, and how his new tennant, Nikolai, was doing. Bianca was still awake as well, but for a different reason. She sighed softly, turning her face into the pullow. The once over-blessed debutante was lonely. She'd had 'Laus and the boy by the lake, and that strange creature Jeika, but they'd drifted away, and now she was by herself again.
Ophelia was awake, sitting in the kitchen of the small apartment. It was coming together fairly well, and she was extremely proud of it. She sipped the black tea she'd brewed, reading over a new ook she'd picked up a few days ago.
Ritsuka yawned as he rolled out of bed, ears pressed back flat against his skull. It was far too early to wake up, but the sun was keeping him from indulgin any further. e told himself for the thousandth time that he needed to get a set of curtains for those windows.

Sunray Tristram Nikolai moved to lay down next to her after taking his boots off. Figuring it would be more comfortable for them both, he also got under the covers. "I would argue and say that normal is boring...but I wish I could be normal again as well. I had never wanted what happened to me." Misaki said, smiling as he layed beneath her under the covers, I was born into this life. How did... this happen to you? she inquired, hoping that it wouldn't be too personal a question, though they had been spending time together for quite a while.

Nikolai's wings twitched a little as he got comfortable, his mind going back to the exact moments. "I had gone outside...at night...to get some things for my father. I had heard there had been attacks...but I did not think I would be one of them." He sighed a little at his foolishness then continued. "It happened very quickly...so I don't remember it well. But when it was done, I had been changed. My sire left me food then I was on my own. I refused to go back home in fear of attacking my family. The demon possession came many years later...again because I was foolish and thought the vampire curse could be lifted."

Misaki smiled faintly, then shook her head. It is always quite normal, to not expect things to happen to you. I understand why you left home, as well. I would hate to have that happen, especially to family... she said, nodding as she wrapped her arms around his form.

Nikolai held her close, still frowning a little. The only good it had done him was let him live long enough to find Misaki. "I am sure they were upset when I did not return... I wish I could have told them." His family had meant a lot to him...but now it was too late to find them.

I am sorry to hear that. I feel very deeply for you, Misaki said, frowning. Was it long, long ago? Are you certain there is no way to find any of your family? she asked, sighing softly as she held him closely. She knew how much she took her family for granted and was starting to feel very guilty, especially now that her mother was missing.

"I have lost count of the years. I did not want to know how long I would be stuck like this." He felt depressed again as he thought about all that had happened. Granted, he always felt a little depressed but he had tried hard to keep going and move on. "What family I knew would be long deceased by now. If they had children, I would not know of them."

I am terribly sorry, Misaki said with a frown. She felt so bad for the man who had to abandon his family because of what had happened to him. She wrapped her arms tighter around him and started kissing all over his face, in attempt to comfort him.

"You do not need to be. I am sad about it...but I will not let it hold me back any longer." Because he had her, if for nothing else than a friend. When she kissed his face, Nikolai felt himself blush a little. "I can make friends now...and they can be my new family."

I'm glad that you feel that way now, if there's anything I can do, let me know, Misaki said, kissing his lips for a short moment before smiling down at him, moving a hand to cover her mouth as she yawned.

Nikolai kissed her back softly, feeling a little more confident in doing so. Anything? The first thing that came to mind was to ask her to be with him always...but he didn't say it. That was a pretty big thing to say for only just getting to know one another. "I will," he said, "But, for now, we should rest."

Misaki smiled softly and nodded before laying beside him. I'm about to fall asleep, she whispered before nuzzling her nose gently against his cheek. Goodnight, Nikolai... she mumbled before dozing off, her arms comfortably around his torso.
