Sacha looked over at Ralef, not quite believing how much of a b*****d he could be. He stepped into the tube and folded his arms, trying to comfort himself in some way. He looked around himself before deciding that he really didn't want to know. He shut his eyes.
Images of Fayina came to him hard and fast. He remembered how they had first met and their first kiss. He tried to forget all of the times he had seen her cry, including the last time. He saw each and every moment that they had spent together like he was reliving it again.
"Why?" Kai asked simply as he eyed off the machine. "Am I being hooked up to that?" He asked.

Fayina nodded. "Please." She said quietly. "Do you know all of the people involved?" She asked Taki, squeezing his hand back.
~
Rei jerked himself awake as the water began to run colder. He sighed as he turned off the taps and staggered out of the shower. He was pleased to see that the mirror had fogged up, leaving Rei to go about the business of brushing his teeth and hair unhindered by the well of hate he had for himself.
What am I doing with him? He wondered for the millionth time. I know that it helps the resistance but there has to be another way.

Taki shook his head. "Not everybody, yet. I only just found out yesterday about the damn thing. I know my crew and everyone else in the special forces. You'll have to ask them."
He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "Nice to know that someone cared enough to tell what i was being left in charge of," he muttered sarcastically.

The nurse nodded. "Yes, yes you are." she sighed adn walked over to it, pulling out some wires. "Now i don't really understand how it works, thats those other science nuts' job, but it has something to do with taking everything you are and putting it into him," She looked over at Sacha, " And somehow you can do that with wires."
Ralef walked over to them. "It's a little more involved than that, dear, it connects into his nervous system creating a link with his brain and copying everything it needs. In this case, attitudes, memories, thought patterns, speech patterns and everything else needed for replacing Kai."
The nurse rolled her eyes, "well, there you go then."
Ralef walked over to where Sacha was continuing his little speech, "We rarely use this method, we don't usually send out permanent replaces and the success rate is low. The replacement hasn't to be pretty strong to put up with everything. He could die." He stopped tot hink for a moment. "Although, theoretically he is going to die anyway, and in his place will be a clone. Don't think your getting out of pain either, Kai."
((very farfetched - i think i watch to much gundam seed sweatdrop ))

"Whatever." Kai muttered, glaring at Ralef. "You need me, remember?" he asked Ralef with a raised eyebrow. "It's probably easier for you if I co-operate anyway, isn't it?" He asked.
Sacha tried to ignore their voices, instead concentrating on his own thought train. He vaguely heard Ralef talking about him like he was no better than a rat in an experiment but didn't feel the outrage he would normally have felt.
He was beyond that. He just wanted this over and done with.
I'll wait for you Fayina. He promised silently. Wherever people go when they die I'll wait for you.

Fayina's eyes widened. "You're in special forces?" She asked him. "I thought you were just high up in the regular troops." She said honestly. "I was wondering why you seem to know people like Ral-" She bit her lip, not wanting to say his name. "-That guy." She finished, looking down at the ground.

Rei sighed and quickly wrapped up his hair, feeling much more alive than he had when he had first woken up. He scowled as a clump of wet hair fell into his eyes and quickly brushed it behind his ear with his fingers.
Satisfied that it wasn't going to try that stunt again, Rei walked out of his rooms, feeling a slight amount of guilt that his rooms were better than almost all of the rest of Biovolt's personnel's. Then he remembered what he did for it.
Am not thinking about it Rei decided as he began to walk towards where Taki's rooms were. I hope he's in

Taki gave her a lopsided grin. "Yer, that's me, Commander Keiji of the special forces reporting for duty," he gave a half hearted salute.
He patted Kisa on the head, "Don't worry about that guy, he wont last much longer."
He walked over to his door and unlocked it.

Ralef shrugged. "Either way, boy, you won't be not feeling the pain." He turned back to Sacha and looked him over.
The nurse came up to Kai with a chair. "You're probably going to need this." She picked up the wires again, checking each one and place a needle on each end.

((*cracks up laughing* You went back to calling Fayina Kisa ^^))
Kai nodded and seated himself in the chair, shifting trying to get comfortable. He soon realised that it was one of the annoying chairs that were built to be uncomfortable Ralef's doing, I bet He thought grimly as he eyed off the wires the nurse was preparing. He didn't want to know where she planned to put them. He just didn't.
Sacha felt Ralef's gaze on him and opened his eyes to meet to scientist with a glare of his own. He deigned it unnecessary to say anything to his tormentor. Why waste his breathe when he had so little left to waste?

"Why do get the feeling that when you say that you're not joking?" Fayina asked as she followed Taki.
"Please tell me that you're not joking." She added.

Rei sighed as he quickly traversed the now familiar halls of Biovolt. He had been young when Biovolt had come and snatched many of the children from the white Tiger village. Young enough to learn obedience to Biovolt.
But not young enough to forget their home.
At least most of them weren't.
Rei watched as one of the village children walked past him without batting an eyelid.
Lee had forgotten everything.

Taki smirked as he held his door open. "Oh, i'm not joking, trust me, I guess i have two people to hurt him for now, huh?"

Ralef quirked an eyebrow at Sacha but said nothing. He nodded to one of the doctors standing next to him and walked away. The doctor walked up to Sacha and started piercing wires, much like the ones the nurse near Kai was handling, into his arms and body. Another doctor was working on carefully placing the wires into his neck.
The nurse finished checking her wires lifted Kai's arm and started carefully placing the wires into his forearm. "Try not to yell when the machine starts up, i'd hate to think of what Ralef would do if you made too much noise," she said flatly.

"That bad?" Kai asked, gritting his teeth and trying to to jerk his arm away from the nurse. He could tell she was doing it as gently as possible. "Ow." He complained as one of the needles went into a particularly sensitive part of his arm.
Sacha shut his eyes, preferring to pretend that this wasn't happening. He bit his lip to stop himself from crying out. The last thing he wanted was giving Ralef that satisfaction.

Fayina bit her lip as she walked into the room Taki had opened and nodded. "Yeah..." She said vaguely, ignoring the tear that ran down the side of her face.

Rei sighed and continued. He reached the hallway that turned into Taki's and began to play with his hair nervously. He didn't know if Taki had been informed in detail about how the resistance operated.

Taki sighed and closed his door. He walked over to his bed and flopped down onto it. "This place only brings death," he mumbled into his pillow.

The nurse grimiced. "You'll feel fuzzy after it, but apart from that i have no idea what it feels like."
She worked up his arm and started on the base of his neck. She was about to put the needle in when she stopped. "Ah, do you want something to bite on while i do this part?"

Kai shook his head and bent his head forward, giving the nurse easier access. "Just do it." He said quietly. He paused for a second before going on. "Thanks for being nice about it." He said before going back to trying to concentrate on something other than the pain he was about to go through.

Kisa found a chair to sit on and burled up into it. "I wouldn't have believed you before today." She told Taki, wiping away her tears impatiently. "I guess all that can change really-" She was cute off by a knock at the door.

Rei straightened his top as he waited to someone to answer.

Taki snapped his head up and raised an eyebrow at his door. "Keh?"
He lifted himself off the bed and went to answer it. He blinked in surprise at the person standing beyond it.
"Rei..."

The nurse shrugged. "Have, it your way then." She brushed some of his hair out of the way and carefully pierced the wires into his neck.

Kai made a small sound as his neck was assaulted. He didn't allow it to get loud enough for Ralef to hear, however. He wasn't stupid. Instead, Kai made sure that he wasn't biting his lip anymore. At this rate he would only end up with half a lip.

Rei smiled genuinely when he saw Taki. "Hey!" He said happily, throwing his arms around the other affectionately. "How are you?" He asked as he pulled away. "I only heard last night that you were back and by then I was absolutely buggered so I couldn't come to see you." He made a face at that. "But I'm here now. I think that's what counts!"
Fayina blinked as Rei entered the room. He seemed faar to happy for the gloomy atmosphere.
Rei hadn't seen Fayina.

Taki grinned at Rei and closed the door again. "It's good to see you, Rei. I don't know how you can be so happy though..." he said.
He looked over at Fayina and blinked as she looked at Rei. "Oh! And, um, Rei, this," He tilted his head towards Fayina, "Is Fayina, by the way."

The nurse finished with Kai's neck and checked over the wires again. She gave Kai and sad smile and walked over to Ralef, telling him that Kai was ready.
Ralef looked up from his papers, "Eh? good then. " He got up and walked over to Sacha. "So is everyone ready here?" The other doctors gave him an affirmative nod and walked away. "Right then, lets get this show on the road." He stepped over to the machine which was linked to both Kai and Sacha, entered in a few codes and flicked the switch.

Kai's eyes widened as a new sensation ran through his body. He didn't know what he could call it. It wasn't the pleasantest of feelings but it certainly wasn;t painful. It was like a constant vibration in the weirdest of places. He shut his eyes and tried to ignore it.
Sacha watched Ralef flick the switch sadly. He had noticed that one of the doctors had injected a sedative into him just before they had put all of the needles into him for the process to take place. He began to feel the effects now, blinking heavily. "Fayina" He whispered as his head fell forward and his mind drifted into unconsciousness.

Rei looked over Taki's shoulder and saw Fayina. "Hi there!" He said cheerfully, waving.
Fayina sent him a dirty glare and wrapped her arms around her leg's feeling miserable. She hated this.
Rei frowned as he looked at Taki. "Why shouldn't I be happy?" He asked quietly.

Taki grimaced at Rei and sat down on the edge of his bed again. "Just, things that are happening."
He looked up at Rei. "Lots of things that are happening and knowing you, i'm sure you would know something about this resisitence that Kia was planning under my nose." Taki raised his eyebrow in question.

Ralef smirked to himself. "Good, the process has started." He walked over to Kai and looked down at him. "Since this is a full transfer, this make take a few hourse, we'll see how well you have coped after that," he sneered.

Kai opened his eyes to glared at Ralef, beginning to understand what the nurse has been talking about. The constant vibration was beginning to get painful and the wires in the sensitive skin of his neck weren't helping matters. He looked over at Sacha, limp in his tube. I'm sorry.

Rei sighed and smiled sadly. "I know too much." He told Taki honestly. "I figure it's better to pretend that it's not happening than get down about it, hm?" He asked, smiling fully again. "The resistance movement is actually pretty organised."
Rei smirked. "But what do you really expect? Since Kia..." He trailed off, looking sympathetically at Taki. "Mariah's been in charge. That girl's a born drill sergeant. I'm sure of it!"
Kisa smiled sadly at Rei's animated features. Maybe there is somethings that are good every now and again She thought as Rei began to tell Taki about Mariah managing to get Kevin to not only turn up to places on time but be semi-responsible.
