AzraAzra stopped in her tracks, crouching down to frown at the little Bug-type. Might as well speak at her eye level, if she was nice enough to talk to her. "Um, okay! It's a pleasure to meet you." The young Riolu replied, looking a little more bright now that she wasn't being partially ignored. "I'm Azra Stormcloud!" She replied, using her team name as her last name. She couldn't really remember either of her parents having a last name, so she'd sort of... Well, she just adopted the name of her team. No matter where she went, her name would show her pride for her teammates, now. The little black Vulpix, now sniffing at her heels, suddenly gained her attention, and she twitched her tail curiously. His scent was unfamiliar, too, but at least she knew what species he was. "If you don't mind me asking... What exactly are you two?" She questioned, glancing from the little Bug-type to the one who stared almost relentlessly at the ground. "I've never met anyone like you before~" Her tone was warm and happy, so it was difficult to take offense from the honest words of the preteen.

Tammet - Izzy - SargeSarge began to n** at Azra's twitching tail. Moving things were an easy distraction for him. "Tammet told me we're not originally from around here," Izzy explained. "I'm a Sewaddle, and he's a Scraggy!" Next thing she knew, Tammet was standing right next to Azra, leaning in close to the side of her face. "Hold still, please..."

AzraAzra nodded, absorbing the information like a sponge. "I'm a Riolu, but my mother's a Gardevoir." She told her new friend proudly, smiling brightly. Her tail twitched again, this time accompanied by a full-body flinch, as the Scraggy's warm breath fanned across the side of her neck. Crimson eyes wide with surprise, she obeyed, going entirely still. With a practiced ease, even her breathing seemed to calm, the entire Riolu not moving so much as an inch. Azzie and Locke played freeze-tag on a regular basis, and it was obvious who was the best at the game.

Tammet - Izzy - SargeSarge blinked and looked up at Tammet, who was very closely inspecting the Riolu. The Scraggy looked around Azra's head for a moment before lifting a little hand. He reached forward and pried Azra's lips open for a minute, starring at her fangs. "TAMMET!" Izzy squealed. "Stop it!" Tammet pulled his hand back, wiping the droll off on his pants. "I was only countin' her teeth..."

AzraAzra made a slight squeaking noise, pulling away, happy that her thick, soft fur hid the furious blush on her face. She ran her tongue over her teeth, making a few, childish noises as she attempted to get the taste of skin off her tongue. It didn't taste bad, per-say. Just weird. She wasn't used to that sort of thing. Her ears twitched slightly, tilting her head as she looked at Tammet. "Well?" She questioned brightly, feeling a little curious, herself. "How many were there?" Sharp fangs; the pride of any carnivore. Definitely a pride and joy for any Riolu. She didn't mind, terribly. Being so interested in medical fields, and used to living with small children, the idea of being studied so intently wasn't something that bothered her. All it did was set an unusual, relaxing tingling feeling in the base of her skull.

Tammet - Izzy - SargeSarge showed his own fangs off, thinking this was a competition. "Four'y two," tammet replied to Azra's inquisition. Izzy slapped her forehead with as stubby leg. Was she surrounded by weirdos?! "I only have two! That's all I need!"

AzraAzra brightened a little bit at the response. "That's a lot of teeth! I didn't know I had that many~" She replied happily, feeling that she'd have a new thing to write down in her journal of medical notes. Maybe she could look at the skeletal structure of her species; that would be cool. Others might think it strange, but she thought it was fascinating that anyone even knew that stuff to write it down. As Izzy mentioned that she only had two teeth, however, Azra looked astonished. Only two? Maybe she only needed two, like she'd said. After all, she did eat leaves, and she appeared to do so rather well, if the leaf she'd eaten from under Tammet's stare was any indication. "I wonder why there's such a huge difference like that. Maybe it's a Bug-Pokemon thing, to not need so many teeth." She noted thoughtfully, being entirely honest in the fact that she was simply curious. Offending Izzy certainly wasn't her intention.

Neo Neo strolled into the Courtyard alone. Max was eagerly awaiting the results of their recent mission, and was in fact milling around the mission board waiting for the results. Neo couldn't stand waiting. Doctors said he had ADH...there was a fourth letter, but he had kind of gotten distracted by something at that point and hadn't heard it. The point was that waiting around like that was absolute torment for him. So he had gone for a walk. Max had said he would Teleport over and grab Neo when they got the results, which meant Neo had to promise to stay in the courtyard. At least maybe he'd meet someone new. He spyed a small group of Pokemon over by a tree. Was that another Riolu? It was! Neo was about to go over and say hi, but the sight of the other three stopped him. The Vulpix looked normal enough, in spite of it's color. The little bug thing looked relatively harmless. But the third one, with it's strange clothes and big, staring eyes gave him the heebie-jeebies. So he hung back. If they invited him over to talk and play, he'd go. But he wasn't quite willing to just jump into the conversation.
((Another thing to cross off my bucket list: Use a term like "heebie-jeebies" in an RP post. smile Hope you guys don't mind Neo jumping in while I wait for mission results. I'm SUPER bored!))

AzraAzra glanced up, grinning as she sensed a new aura. It was very similar to that of her own, and her father's. A Riolu, unmistakably. The welcoming smile of the pre-teen was happy and warm. "Hey, come on over~!" The little Steel-type called out, waving a little bit. "I'm Azra, nice to meet you~" She added, greeting him. He was much more ordinary in coloration; something that rather startled her. She wasn't used to seeing her kind truly black and blue, as they were intended to be.

x Epitaph --- Saileithe“I’m sorry for bringing you out at this hour.” Epitaph’s voice was unusually quiet. Her step didn’t have its casual bounce, instead being rather sluggish and her eyes seemed to focus on the ground. Sai was ignorant of her mother’s posture, assuming it was merely exhaustion.
Where did she even start…? She didn’t know. It was so simple and straight forward yet she couldn’t say it as such. It was a truth, after all.
Sai shrugged. “It’s not a problem. I’m not busy anyway.” Epitaph’s eyes diverted elsewhere as Sai glanced at her. She wanted to be back with Solaris. She regret leaving the hospital. She felt her throat tighten and body weaken with every passing second. Epitaph was far from her comfort zone. She pushed open the door to the courtyard with her head and walked out with Sai close behind. “I…Guess you’d like to know why I brought you out of the hospital.” Obviously. Epitaph was panicking. She stopped at a bench and sat down on the ground next to it. Sai gracefully leaped up onto it and laid down, looking at her mother again though now at eye level. It was… intimidating for the Flareon. “Are you okay, mom?” Sai blinked as Epitaph glanced away again. No. No she wasn’t okay at all. She felt sick now. She wanted to cry. Three… two… one…
“Sai… Darius is dead.” Sai’s expression darkened instantly. Bullshit. He was away doing his own thing like he always has. …Right? He always came and left without any word to her. It didn’t bug her, she was used to it. She hasn’t seen him since that Eevee attacked them. It’s normal. It’s completely normal… Nothing’s wrong. Nothing. Nothing at all… No, nothing at all… The Glaceon shuddered, sitting up quickly. She was now taller than her mother. “What do you mean dead? Darius doesn’t…” Her voice faded out as she shook her head. Sai was losing her cool. She began to panic and her voice began to break up. Epitaph finally looked back at her, the Flareon’s soft purple eyes tearing up. Oh god. She wasn’t lying. Darius is really dead. “But… He…” Sai couldn’t speak anymore. Her mind was in total chaos. “How…?” Epitaph shook her head. “Why don’t you know? You were there, weren’t you?” She was… her mind wasn't. “Yes, but with everything going on…” Sai looked away slowly, remembering hearing about Pluto’s death as well. No way. Was it that bad? How many died? Her thoughts flickered to Solaris’ condition. He looked pretty beat up too… Sai shook her head. This was… She didn’t even have the words for it. “Why weren’t you watching him?!” Epitaph looked back at Sai, her expression almost shocked. It was always the opposite way around. Darius kept them safe for years and only failed once. Hearing such a thing come from Sai was weird. She was such an ignorant child… She really has grown. Epitaph looked down again. She didn’t have a response. Sai growled. “I…” “No. Quiet. I’m done.” “But Sai—“ Epitaph stood. Sai jumped over her mother from her perch and dashed back into the guild. She was gone in an instant. Epitaph remained where she stood, staring at the doorway. Her ears and tail weighed down heavily and her legs finally gave in as she sat back down. ((Was supposed to be an NPC post, but feel free to intrude on either of them since I'm bored.))

 Alfred
It had been no easy task slipping out from right under Nova and Dew's noses, but as luck would have it they were busy over something or another. He heard snippets of conversation, something about an infirmary of sorts. He never really paid attention much lately, trying to left him frustrated and confused with a constant headache that pounded unmercilessly in his skull. Little things were hard, things he'd taken for granted before like being able to walk which was difficult when you'd been stuck in a bed for a couple of months. He'd fallen twice just trying to get to the door, but not one to be daunted had continued on regardless. There was, fortunately, this convienent wall for support.
Alfred blinked tired eyes, he was restless, felt suffocated. Don't get him wrong, he was grateful not to be in that dreadful hospital anymore but even then he was just sick of being stuck indoors. He needed air, at least for a few moments and since his coughing attacks had lessened the past few days he figured it would be okay. He didn't ask, knowing the answer would be a 'no' regardless, so he silently undid the various wires and IVs hooked to him and left on his own accord. He eyed the coin-sized bruise that had formed behind the IV needles removal before stepping to the doorframe into the courtyard. Immediately he had to shielf his face with a hand from the sudden influx of bright light that caused his eyes to water. Blinking back the tears that formed he eyed the courtyard with relief to find it empty. ...sorta. He would have just left to attempt his short moment of freedom another day if the Flareon sitting before him hadn't looked so dejected. A lot of Pokemon looked unhappy lately, at least the ones he'd seen and he never had the heart to ask why. Naturally it had to do with Pluto missing, he hadn't seen the Leafeon recently and he could only assume. Regarding the Flareon again, and leaning back against the courtyard wall for support, he vaguely recognized her from before. The hospital...right? Her name, however, he couldn't recall and didn't have the strength to both trying to. Against his better judgement he decided to ask if she was alright, but a short coughing fit beat him to the punch.

EpitaphEpitaph's ears twitched slightly. They had no will to stand anymore and she honestly couldn't care less who found her. Her mind was rather flooded with more important issues. She took a breath, regaining her posture before finally looking over her shoulder. Disregard what she'd said earlier-- that... that was Alfred, right? What was he doing here...? The Flareon jumped as he entered an episode and made quick pace over to him. She sat down in front of him and weighed herself back onto her butt. One of her free front paws, pawed at the Gardevoir's dress nervously. The other one was hugged close to her own body for balance."Alfred-- Alfred what are you doing here...?" her voice cracked slightly. "You shouldn't be running around yet..." Epitaph's eyes saddened as she stared up at him. He looked awful. Better, but it was just such a slight extent. Not like she looked too good herself. Empathy set in naturally for the Flareon. "Come sit, you shouldn't be standing right now." Two options dear, pick one. Sit on the ground or sit on the bench. Either was uncomfortable. "Here is fine..." She added quietly.

 Alfred
The Gardevoir blinked, nearly stumbling back in alarm when the Flareon approached. Keeping one hand over his mouth he glanced down at her in confusion, taking a moment to pull to mind what she was saying. He lost focus after the initial fit, but did catch the 'sit' comment which he agreed with instantly. Standing was a bit difficult as the nausea never really subsided so he dropped onto the ground in front of the, now taller, Flareon. After a moment of trying to regain his composure he lifted his gaze to the fire types with a frown, ears flattened. "...just wanted some air." He explained meekly, regretting this venture already. Back to the topic at hand then, before his lungs started acting up, "Are you okay?"

EpitaphEpitaph stared at him silently, returning to her four paws as he sat. If you want air, you open a window. You don't drag yourself all the way to the outdoors. By himself too... Who was watching him, exactly? Her eyes wandered elsewhere. It's fine. Settle down, Epitaph. He's with you. He's not alone, he's fine now.
Oh god. What if he goes into episodes like he has in the hospital...?
Epitaph expression darkened, her eyes slowly meeting his. By God, he can see. Why it didn't occur to her sooner, she didn't know. Maybe she was too used to everyone having the sense. Maybe the fact that he was here blocked all else out. The Flareon finally took a breath and smiled at Alfred weakly. "I could be better, but I'm not the only one." She was tired, she was weak, she was stressed. Epitaph hadn't exactly adjusted to all this yet. Alfred had been dealing it for so long and look at him... It made her worry. "Yes. I'll be fine." She nodded slightly then went silent for a moment. "How are you feeling? You're looking a bit better." Maybe not the best question, but she wanted to keep things simple. She wasn't sure how much he'd really catch onto.

 Alfred
He could see it though she may not have said anything, nor did her face hold the idea that she was thinking it, but all the same Alfred could tell that she was far from amused that he'd risk such a reckless venture outside. A pang of guilt flashed through him as he pondered if anyone had noticed his absence yet. Probably. Most likely. Nova was highly perceptive and something as blatant as him just vanishing would not pass her by. He should have stuffed a pillow under the blanket...or left a note...something, anything to not call for alarm. Alfred listened to the Flareon as well as he could, but missing most of what she said when he was forced to close his eyes in an attempt to dull the throbbing headache that came and went as it pleased.
The Gardevoir offered a small smile once she said she'd be fine, but after that point his gaze shifted slightly to the left of Epitaph's face to the area just behind her where his expression fell from sincerity to confusion. There was nothing behind her as far as she could tell, but something had caught his attention to the point where he remained focused intently on whatever it was for a few, solid minutes.
Finally he blinked rapidly, bringing himself back to reality with a start. How had he ended up outside? Wasn't he just in bed? Who was this? He starred at the Pokemon in front of him with a bewildered expression as though just seeing her for the first time. "Hello." He pipped cheerfully, his tone held the semblance that the entire earlier conversation had not even happened. Well, as far as he knew. The smile on his face faded in an instant as realization kicked in. Something had happened, he wasn't sure what it was...but he sensed that he'd forgotten something. It was like starring at a hole. You knew something was once there, but...you couldn't recall what it was. He blinked back frustrated tears, bit his lip. "Sorry..." He stated quietly, head dropping.
