Renatus sighed deeply. He slumped his back against the balcony and slid down to a sitting position. He placed his face onto his knees. The wind picked up slightly. Renatus enjoyed the breeze, it helped calm his nerves.

Lucinda looked overat Rebatus for a few minutes and then smiled at him.

Renatus' head lolled slightly to the side. He hadn't noticed Lucinda was on her balcony as well. His violet eyes shifted to her smile, as he realized she was watching him. He shifted slightly in surprise, then began to smile as well.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," Lucinda commented, leaning against the railing.

"I er... Its fine." Renatus said. He stood up wearily, his emotions had drained him of some energy. He felt almost numb from discussing what he felt.

"It's getting kind of late," Lucinda commented, looking up at the sky. The sun was beginning to set.

Renatus looked up at the sky. It had become a medley of colors near the horizon, and the moon was just becoming visible against the sky. "Yeah... I suppose it is." Renatus said , gazing upwards.

Renatus stared up at the sky. "Yeah..." he said. He looked back down, and leaned on the rail closest to Lucinda, "But it's nowhere near as beautiful as you." He instantly wished he hadn't said that, and began to mentally kick himself.

Lucinda froze when she heard that and her cheeks began to turn red. She quickly dropped her gaze, hiding her face from him.

Renatus looked up for a few moments. He searched for what to say before saying quietly, "Oh, uh.. thank...you...?" he inflected at the end.
