He didn't reply. His mother had tried reasoning with his father. But it didn't change anything. He tried and it got him nothing but pain. He didn't want that to happen to Maki.

He knew what Maki wanted to do and he was happy he was, but it was his dad and it made him scared, "You can't do that at my house. I won't risk you." A few tears slipped down his cheeks at the thought of what could happen to him alone in his house with his father.
