Pyrotechnic Oracle NOne of that needed to be said kaiser, thats all exactly what I meant. Sorry you miss understood me so bad. And, I think the baby does take nutrients form the mother, at least it starts to, Calcium, I beilive. If she dosn't get enough of it the baby starts tackign it form her. I think his point is just that we aren't autrotrophs. We need to get our nutrients from other living things...we need to eat meat and plants to gain food. We can't just take the sunlight and water and use them to produce glucose. So essentially, a pregnant woman is taking all the nutrients from other things. A fetus isn't really taking her nutrients, just nutrients that she is also using.

I...am not sure what you mean. I read some where that if the woman is not gettign enough nutrients for the both of them the baby will start tackign it directly form her body. Her teeth will start to rot and her rare will go white from the calcium the child takes.

In life, there are producers and consumers. Plants are primary producers because they make their own food. a cricket would be a consumer. When the cricket is eaten by a snake, it becomes a secondary producer, I believe, since the snake is obtaining its nutrients from the cricket, which got it from the plant.
Humans are consumers, not producers. While a pregnant woman needs to consume more than if she wasn't pregnant, she is still consuming to gain energy, not producing to gain energy. The original energy comes from what she's eaten. A fetus, like a parasite, is consuming part of her share of nutrients, but unlike a parasite, a fetus is a healthy inhabitant.
So while it does take away from her share, it doesn't take away from her nutrients. They aren't really hers. A pregnant woman is eating for two. Neither will be healthy if she doesn't eat enough. But she is eating for two, not producing for two.

I actually almost fell asleep during that movie.
Seriously, the cohesion was like cheap store brand glue...it sticks for a few seconds and then promptly slides apart.
The effects were awesome, but that's...about it.

He's the worst.
Has a vendetta against me.Quote: Mcphee, how is abortion NOT about bodily rights? If abortion is not about bodily rights, gay marriage isn't about civil rights and the gay community should quit crying about not being able to get married. Afterall, everyone knows gays have a higher potential to contract AIDS and HIV. Why should other people be put at risk because you have a disease? Why should other people be denied the right to life just because oyu want to be sodomized? In fact, we should outlaw homoerotic activity of all kinds, because it POTENTIALLY puts other human beings at risk. Oh and we should start MANDATORY organ and blood harvests in order to save lives, but of course we won't take the blood of anyone who is gay because they have a higher potential to carry HIV/AIDS and other STD's. If he feels like he needs to personally attack me, and have others rally behind him, that's just damn fan.
*sigh*
This just... makes me nauseous.

I'm not going to be posting in there for a long ********. They're just awful people. I agree, they just attack me and they don't care about what I say and they insult me and say they don't care about my health. Almost all of them are rude and annoy and selfish and hate everybody unless you agree with them. Only a few are nice. They all gang up on you. I also hate their song and sig, that's not pro-choice that's pro-abortion.

I.Am Lorysa I just got finished reading the third Harry Potter book! Hehe. It was very nice, and I'm grateful that Buckbeak got to live. Yay! Now you can start the best one! domokun I still need to see the movie, but I've no money to go and see it with. sweatdrop Hehe, well I'm lucky to see it. My tutor saw it and said it was great, and then my teacher saw it... and it just so happened that I was new to the Harry Potter series, because for the years it's been out, I thought it wasn't as good as people made it out to be, and I didn't really like reading... so I just saw the first movie in October, but since I am hooked now, I really wanted to see the new movie. I just asked my brother and he said... "alright", and now I get to go. I still haven't told him it was 3 hours long... or PG-13... but it'll be fun! =P I'm just hoping it's more entertaining than some movies I've seen. Anyway, I'm going on and on about it.
DarkFire (I capitalized the "f" for you, happy now, dear?) is very, very... gonk Well he's just plain... hard to stand. I mean you can tell through that 'Good-Guy, Easy-going 'friendly' Pro-Choicer' mask he's wearing that he's very, very aggitating and... well, need to stop since it would be against the rules, but I just can't stand him. It's hard to describe why. I mean, just his saying 'We only pick at the STUPID pro-lifers, you know we love you, Kaiser!' (or something similar to that) that made me want to spit on him. I've been - everyone's been - attacked by those 'Choicers at that thread. Maybe that was his sibliminal way of implying that we we're all idiots who can't debate correctly? Maybe I'm just a little paranoid, I don't know... I just don't like him. Aside from that, being "stupid" is not an excuse to mock people and tear apart everything they say, so I don't agree with him in saying that.

He SAID THAT? Wow. *huggles McPhee* Not worth it dear, I figured that out long, long ago. I only go in if someone's being swarmed or something. My blood pressure's the better for it. His argument doesn't even make sense. Am I the only one who sees the irony that someone who is prochoice is making the most homophobic statements that thread has ever seen? Aren't people who're proLIFE supposed to be the oppressive bible-hugging loonies?
I always thought that I just made really, really stupid posts. Some of them are really nice. A lot of them can be jerks, though. Granted, they feel like we're trying to take away their rights, but...it goes beyond that sometimes.
