i'm only in the r&c in my threads, or the few threads that my friends have, and it's usually to kick or bump occassionally. i feel more comfortable that way. as for pricing, yes there are stuff that's overrated. but we all know that names sell more than art, in mose cases. there have been stuff recently that i've just been ..O_O;; when i see a lot better stuff go for less.
but i guess i shouldn't be talking, in the sense that there is an auction for me, and a joint auction that i am doing, both in the million. the group auction, i never asked anyone to do it for me. jenna did it on a whim and people signed up. if could bid, i would, because there's 30+ artists in that one, and most of them don't normally do gaia commissions. plus the price is in the mill only due to inflation. i look @ it more of the item than the price, even though i am questing for dj's, but i'd really rather have art. just...it'd seem really selfish of me to buy big arts while i am questing.
but auctions are meant to sell for a high price, and if people want it enough, they'll bid, especially for artists that do seem out of reach for most. *shrug* i can't afford a lot of the art, so i settle for trades. seems a more fair trade than pixelated monetary value. ah well... to keep it true to form:
