When an unfamiliar voice caught her off guard, Riyo snapped around to see who it was. Oh, only Blade. Her eyes softened as she gave a big stretch. One pop, two pops, three pops. Damn that felt good.
Food? The thought popped up in her mind, and transferred to her stomach which promptly made a growl in response. Well, that was embarrassing. Why was it embarrassing? She'd figure that out later, right now, she had a question to answer. "As fine as can be expected, I suppose." She scratched her dirty hair as she replied. "The real question is, how are you feeling?"
Her eyes glanced over to Yuki, as if she was asking him the exact same question. It wasn't like they'd witnessed what used to be her true colors last night... What could still be her true colors, if she so chose to take that route... But... That seemed quite unlikely right now. She'd had enough of killing and murderous intent for now. There were other things to experience. She could decide what she liked better at a later time.
Her eyes looked around the village. So many bad memories. "Mmm..."
Atticus, who was in the same spot he'd been at the beginning of the night, was too busy reading a book to care what the others were up to. Whatever it was, it could wait until he got to the next chapter.

Nodding to what Riyo said, the thief noted that she seemed to be speculating a thing or two still. He just couldn't quite tell what it was she was thinking about. When she asked how he was, he rubbed his shoulder some and shrugged. The dull aches in it have subsided considerably but he figured he should still try to take it easy with that arm.
"A little sore and stiff, but I'll live. Good to hear you're alright though."
Glancing back at Yuki after he had tried to wake up the others, he looked towards the area they had placed their bags of supplies.
"Something quick? Well bread, jerky, and water won't need any preparation. If you want something cooked, I can try to see what I can do but I'm no chef. Though.. shouldn't you be getting some rest? All this rushing is going to drain you if it didn't do that already."

"Sounds good to me," Yuki confirmed. "I don't think we should hang around here any longer than we have to. This place creeps me out, even in the daylight." He quietly cast a glance toward the hut that Hanse had been sleeping in, wondering if he was still there or had slipped out when he wasn't paying attention.
There was a long pause between addressing Blade's words on food and his words on rest. "I'm fine." Yuki assured him, "It's not the first time I've been awake all night... There's no time for that, anyway."
Hitsu finally emerged from the hut, yawning and rubbing her eyes. She still had the cloak, of course. The sun might have been rising, but it was still cold outside. "Why do we always have to leave so early? Shouldn't we move slower so that Neko and Mitsu can catch up?"
"They'll catch up, I'm sure it won't take Neko long." Yuki replied, "He'll probably find us again in a day, two tops."

"If you say so."
After glancing between Yuki and Hitsu as they exchanged a few words on their pace and Neko, Blade went and rummaged through their supplies for a moment before grabbing what he needed. He tossed a chunk of bread and a slice of dried meat at Yuki, and went to hand some to Hitsu and Riyo as well.
"Here, eat up. If you need something to drink, the waterskin's in the big bag."
With that said, he just began to munch a bit on some of the meat. It wasn't really a meal, but it'd at least be something to get their day started. He wasn't really one to eat much for breakfast anyway.

Riyo raised an eyebrow as some bread and dry meat was tossed her way, looking down at it and wondering if he was serious. Her stomach, however, outweighed her desire to find something that would bleed when she bit it.
The meat was the first thing to go. In a few bites, it had disappeared from sight. She then examined the bread, remembering that she'd eaten this once before... With Neko.
Neko... Wait. He... He hadn't been here! And neither had Mitsu. Her eyes widened in that realization. Where had they gone? That's when she heard Yuki and Hitsu mention the both of them. That was right. Neko had taken Mitsu to some doctor back in town. Her thoughts swung back to the previous night. She remembered everything that happened. From both sides of her now complete spectrum. A slightly new feeling swept over her. Guilt. Not only had she slaughtered an entire village, but she'd been contemplating the murder of her new found company. Then, frustration. "I don't need to feel guilty about this. They dug their own graves." She spat out louder than she meant to say, offering no explanation for it but simply taking a walk to the opposite end of the village. Most likely the direction they'd be traveling after the short meal.

Neko awoke to find himself fairly damp from all the early morning dew. The rain hung in the air making it almost chokingly humid as the sun began to rise above the horizon. Their temporary shelter under a low hanging tree hadn't done much beyond shield them from the majority of the rain, which at least Neko was thankful for that but the cold night air and the moisture had left him with a bit of a chill.
Sitting up from his resting place Neko noticed Mitsu had curled up against his back at some point during the night. Whether it was for comfort of warmth was unknown, more than likely both knowing her. Looking to their camp fire that had died out long ago Neko contemplated whether he should go ahead and make another one and prepare her tea or worry about finding the others first. Maybe it would depend on how Mitsu felt.
Turning on his rear, Neko moved so that he was facing in Mitsu's direction and nudged her shoulder gently. "Mitsu. You need to get up."
Giving a bit of a low whine Mitsu meerly shifted in place and went back to sleep which forced Neko to nudge her a little harder. Finally his efforts bore fruit and Mitsu sat up in a groggy manner staring off at nothing inparticular, sleep still evident in her eyes. "It's morning?" She yawned rubbing at her face. Apparently the cold nor the damp air had phased her in the least.
"Yeah, morning. How are you feeling?"
"Sleepy."
"...besides that."
Mitsu blinked a few times trying to think. "I guess I feel okay."
"Not sick?"
Mitsu shook her head which Neko responded by standing to his feet and offering her a hand up. "Good, then lets get going. The sooner we find everyone the better and I'm sure they bought some supplies and food. More than what we got so we'll have breakfast when we find them."
Taking Neko's hand Mitsu pulled herself up and nodded at his statement. Once they were packed up they were off on the same trail they had been following before hoping the find the rest of the group soon.

Hanse sat perched at the far end of the village atop of one of the many huts. His wings were spread as wide as the building; gathering the morning heat of the sun. In the shadows of his face, it was almost as if he was smiling. His eyes watched the others go about their morning ever so slowly. Long before the sun had rose, long before Yuki had started moving around, Hanse had already slipped out of the village for the night for the best of hunting. His breakfast was eaten by the time Blade had woken and moved outside of the hut, and by the time that Riyo was moving about, his wings were spread through the sky, soaking in what little warmth the sun could give him.

Yuki reached out to catch the food that Blade tossed to him, making very short work of the meat. He slowed just a bit with the bread, but that was only because gulping down bread too fast was just a horrible idea in general.
"You're going to make yourself sick." Hitsu had warned, and rolled her eyes when he pretended not to hear her. Not that she was eating slowly, just... Slower.
He had stepped over to the supply bags, to retrieve the waterskin. He watched Riyo with a raised brow when she burst aloud her thoughts, gaze trailing after her a moment when she'd walked away. He tilted his head back to take a drink, and caught glimpse of something amiss above ground level. He realized what it was immediately, gasped out of shock, and choked on the water. "<********>" He managed to shout through his coughing and sputtering. "RIYO!" He called, though telling her to return was too much to say right now, so instead he frantically motioned her back toward them as he tried to catch his breath.

Riyo froze at the shout of her name. Her ears perked up, and her head turned to see what the ruckus was. The utter panic in Yuki's eyes told her that something was very wrong. "Wha..." She said to herself before a strangely shaped shadow caught her eye. Following it upwards, her eyes only seemed to get wider as they met with a figure standing atop one of the closer huts.
Her jaw dropped. Reality faded out slowly as her imagination kicked in. Those horrific wings, that grin. "N-no..." She backed up a little before tripping on a twig and falling on her rump. "It's... It's the angel of death! He's come for me! Come to take my eternal soul to the fiery pit that awaits me!" Oh, she looked genuinely terrified. "FORGIVE ME! I LIED, I SHOULD FEEL GUILT FOR MY SINS! ALLOW ME TO ATONE FOR THEM..." Her eyes welled up with red tears. Her short life was flashing a mile a minute in her mind, then repeating over and over again. What had she done to provoke this visit?!
At the loud shouts, Atticus peered over and looked at Riyo groveling to what she thought was the angel of death. But from where he sat, he could tell that this, obviously, was no angel. "Let her figure it out..." He mumbled quietly and went back to reading.

Hitsu had given quite a jolt at the first scream, jerking her attention to whatever was so horrifying. For a moment, she was startled by the looming figure as well. Though, not much slower than Yuki, she knew who she was looking at.
"My God, you guys..." She groaned, likely only to be heard by Poke and Blade if they were close enough. "Stop screaming, it's too early!" She called out to them, and continued eating as though nothing had happened. Once she was finished, and nobody was screaming anymore, she'd return Hanse's property to him. That was the plan, anyway.

After finishing up his meal, Blade jumped slightly as Yuki suddenly yelled out to Riyo... which was followed by more screaming. Frowning, he quickly turned around to see what trouble was about. And he soon saw the figure on top one of the huts. Apparently this is what Riyo was pleading to.
It took him a moment, but he soon realized the features the person had, which caused his own eyes to widen momentarily. It wasn't a result of fear, but he was definitely surprised. Then shaking his head, he glanced over towards Hitsu before moving towards Yuki and Riyo. Perhaps he was wrong, but he was pretty sure of himself.
"Riyo.. relax. From the looks of it... he's just a dragon.. or at least partially so."
With that said, he looked back up at the man. For now he couldn't help but stare. After all this was the first time he had seen anyone with more than a quarter of dragon within them. And it's been ages since he had been around even that much.

"wha, I've only been asleep for 5 mins, it can't be morning already.." poke mumbled as she was still half alseep, and remained so for the next 5 minutes untill she registered screaming from some ways off. Deciding now was the time to get up, she groggily rose from the floor and stretched, glad it was finnaly morning. Once outside, she blinked as she couldn't see anyone in the immediate space. "dammit, did they leave without me?!" she said angirly and ran out of the hut and towards the sound of the screaming.
She stopped once she saw where everyone was and looked atop the hut. Hanse was looking quite large with his wings spread out, and poke was reminded of the books she read when she was little. The ones that shown pictures of huge flying lizard that breathed fire. Safe to say she was impressed.

Hanse stretched his wings directly above him as he titled his head back, looking to the sky. A subtle grin touched his face before he took to the skies. His wings crashed downwards towards the ground as he leapt upwards, leaving a slight trail of embers as he used his fire magic to increase the temperature under his wings to help generate substantial lift. Each time his wings rose and fell, he seemed to go at least another hundred feet into the air. He must've seemed so small to them just after a few flaps, and he decided it would be time to come back down.
Hanse arched his back slightly as he folded his wings inward to him as he made one last effort to go upwards; as he did this, his body rotated backwards. He kept his head leaning upwards, to watch the incoming view of the horizon, the glistening sun, and the twinkle of the dew across the landscape. He smiled, genuinely, for once. But all too quickly was it changed back to a menacing smirk as his eyes started to see more earth than air, and then as he saw the group of onlookers below him, he struck his wings tight against his body to begin his rapid descent.

Blade heard Poke coming up from behind, causing him to glanced over his shoulder at her for a moment. But his attention soon went back to the one on the roof, as he soon took flight. He watched the half-dragon ascend towards the sky.
Must be nice to be able to fly like that.
Though as he watched, he soon noticed that the one in the sky was starting to come back down. And at a very fast rate. For now, he didn't move from where he stood. Though if he felt that for some reason he was going to be dive bombed here, he would be sure to try and get out of the way. It didn't quite seem to be that case though.
Then, closing his eyes, he tried to remember a thing or two about certain family members. But nothing came; either he had never met them or he was simply too young when he did.

"Just a dragon!?" Yuki had croaked at Blade, "Exactly how many dragons have you seen out here!?"
Hitsu finished her small meal, and had approached everyone else quietly. She looked up to the rooftop where Hanse was perched, "That's kinda creepy, but does it really need all of this screaming?"
The dragon took to the sky, and the siblings watched him. Hitsu seemed just as intrigued by the display as Blade had been, as she'd never seen anyone fly before, and she never could have imagined something like this. "I guess he's leaving, then?"
Yuki was much less than impressed, but his look of terror had faded the higher that Hanse had flown. Apparently, he thought he was going to leave them as well, good riddance as far as he was concerned. Though, as he watched him, Yuki couldn't help but wonder just how far he'd left Skye to fall. Skye was probably even luckier to be alive than he'd thought, but just as stupid for continuing to travel with him.
"Wait..." He murmured all of a sudden, as he noticed Hanse flip backward in the air and come diving back toward them. His eyes grew wide, "He's coming back!" He wasn't able to determine where the dragon was going to land, if that was the idea. He stared worriedly at Riyo, before making a mad dash for her and trying to urge her to her feet. "Get up and move!"
