Claire smiled at the two and looked over jennifer's shoulder. She smiled again as she saw Boone.

Claire said as she watched Jennifer go away.

Shannon spat once more onto the ground before dragging the back of her hand across her mouth. "Disgusting..." She muttered and then turned, making her way back to the path where she had left the empty water bottles. However, when she got to the spot where she had left them, they were gone. "What the ******** left without saying good morning..." Sayid stood a few feet ahead, water bottles slung over his shoulder, dark curls hanging messily around his face in an obvious case of bedhead. " I found them abandoned on the path and I thought perhaps you'd gone...for a bath on your way so I saved you the trouble...considering that last time you went for water you came back with empty bottles..." He smiled, a glint in his eyes.

"Well if someone would make more of an effort to go to the goddamned caves to fill them they wouldn't be so empty all of the time."

" I know you're used to Boone filling your bottles for you but unlike him I have other responsibilities that other men on this Island have." He was still smiling as he walked up to join her, and then handed her one of the smaller bottles.

"What? Hunting and gathering?" Shannon rolled her eyes. "Protecting us weak females...spare me." She muttered but accepted the water anyways.

"Speaking of your brother, I saw him this morning. He seemed quite happy with Claire...and he's moved past ignoring me."

"Really?" She seemed disinterested as they picked their way back to the beach.

"Yes, he's now glaring at me, which signifies that he's acknowledging my presence and I'm sure he's now thinking unkind things about me..."

"That's what he tends to do when he's angry..." Shannon's foot caught on a protruding tree root and she stumbled, though Sayid caught her before he hit the ground.

"You are shaking." He pointed out, "Have you eaten yet?"

"I'm not hungry." She said quickly, perhaps too quickly. Sayid paused, one hand on her shoulder, his nose wrinkling.

"Were you ill?"

"What?"

"It smells like vomit...are you well?"

"I'm fine." She tried to snatch her shoulder away but he held fast as they continued on.

"Because I know you did not look well yesterday morning."

"Well thank you Prince Charming, it's kind of hard to look good everyday when you're stuck on mystery freakin' Island without so much as a working ******** battery or electric outlets. At least I still shave, which I can't say for everyone."

"I thought you liked when I was scruffy."

"Well I don't anymore." She snapped the answer without realizing it.

"Perhaps you should speak with Jack."

"Don't need to." They came out onto the beach, she trying to stay one step ahead and he having no trouble keeping up.

"Sit down and drink some water."

"I was going to anyways."

"I'm going back to the caves." He said smiling once she had collapsed onto the sand. "So stay here...where I can find you once I return..."

"Where the hell am I going to go? Swim home?"

"Possibly...have you dated any professional swimmers?" She glared in his general direction as she unscrewed the bottle of water. "I'll be back soon." He set the rest of the water next to her and then turned.

"Don't you go and bring that man all the way down here from the caves for an upset stomach."

"What man-aha so you're not fine."

"Shut up. Where are you going?"

"To the caves?" He answered with an air of innocence.

"Why?"

"To procure a razor because apparently you don't like this." He gestured to his chin, and the stubble contained therein. "And Jack is the main supplier, unless of course you would like me to go and get...what was it? Harry Potter? I could bring him back to check you out...sticks."

"Har har, you wouldn't. You hate him too much."

"It is impossible to hate a man when he's wearing such impossibly hideous glasses."

"You made them."

"Yes...yes I did. Now good bye and don't go anywhere." He ignored the face she made and turned again and was soon disappearing into the jungle. She sighed to quell the nausea in the back of her throat and sipped at the water, silently frustrated over the way the conversation had gone.

Water bottles now filled, Boone returned to Claire.

{Um.. Haven't see him in a while}
Claire smiled to Boone and took one of the water bottles.
"Thankyou"
She smiled and took a small sip.

"No problem," Boone replied, "Need anything else?"

{Seriously, you can so RP!}

"Nope..what do you want to do?"
Claire asked as she stood up and switched Leslie to her other arm.
