Felina followed Oassu's gaze seeing the crack in the ground before raising the question to the tour guide about how high up they were exactly "Did you hear that, all these cogs and machinery keep this building over 50,000 feet in the air. I hate to think how big and complex the machinery is for the rest of the levels" she whispered putting her fingers in her ears finding it hard to put up with the noise for much longer.
Satoshi smiled glad to see Gil saw the funny side of her suggestion "So what exactly did your first suit of armor look like, a big makeshift rustbucket? Also theres nothing wrong with carrying lots of groceries and the like, saves money on buying baskets and less trips to gey what you need. Oh and did the moogle battle not involve lots of machines firing at eachother"
Yusti nodded letting out a sigh "The majority of my staff are beastmasters and theres one person working as staff in the tournament who is one. The one who works at the arena hates me so thats a no meaning you would have to find the nu mou I took with me. I think he said something about going to a giant library earlier this morning"

Oassu smiled whispering to the tour guide he was just going to take Felina upstairs before moving away from the crowd "Come on I can't imagine you or Cid are enjoying the noise in here" he said taking her upstairs again "Besides this way we get a little privacy away from the crowd" he said as they arrived on the landing again.
Gil smiled shifting his chair a little closer to the table "Actually my first suit of armour was a cursed, demonic black thing, it acted more like a skin so I couldn't take it off and it adjusted to the wearer so it grew the 6 arms for me" he said frowning "A warrior wearing that suit doesn't need to eat sleep or relieve himself" he mumbled before finishing off his steak.
Mari nodded "Well maybe I'll see tomorrow since it's getting a little late now," she said noting the darkening skies "Maybe we should think about packing up shop now?" she suggested to Hebal
Itaka sighed moving in behind Seph and wrapping his arms around her "Well why couldn't I get you to pull that pose in the bedroom tonight instead? Then maybe you'll get to see the male equivalent" he whispered kissing her shoulder and neck.
Zadina nodded "You wouldn't have to do that, you could offer kids a fun jump into the sky for money, besides with us you must be making loads of money to get by and live comfortably for years and years!" he said happily

Seph smiled turning around to return the kiss but was interrupted by an extra loud kweh from the bored Chobi that had been waiting outside for them "Well I suppose it depends on how my match goes plus how nicely you ask me" she whispered back kissing his ear before hopping onto Chobi's back and untying her "Shall we have a quick look around before heading back to the arena? I bet you could get a seat at this time of day"
Hebal sighed giving Mari a small nod "Yeah once these last customers are sorted we can clear the stall up and close it down for the night" she adreed before turning back to Zadina then scooped him up onto her shoulders "Do you reackon kids would like to be carried so high into the sky? Sounds like a good plan but I bet loads of mummies wouldn't be so sure about it. would you like a jump about soon?"

Felina let out a sigh of relief glad to be away from the noise "Sorry about that if you wanted to stick around. I mean it was interesting and all but it was making my ears hurt a little after a while. Still what do you think of this giant tower?" she asked him sitting down with Cid on a wooden bench allowing him to hop freely for a moment.
Satoshi frowned a little "How did you end up with cursed armor like that? Plus it doesn't really sound too coursed if thats all it does so what exactly is the catch to using it. Oh, do you mind if I get some dessert by the way" she added shivering a little and grabbing hold of Terrato's tail to stop him wandering off his chair.
Yusti yawned flying forward to turn her sign around to say the stall was now closed "Everywhere is closing up now anyway so we may as well pack up and enjoy whats left of this evening. If I can work out where my pal is tomorrow I'll let you know sometime between your matches. Also if you make a move soon you'll all be able to watch the last couple of matches at the arenas"

Itaka sighed once Chobi interrupted the moment "Well we'll need to see then," he said following her outside "Yeah I should think so, it's a late night battle so I figure most folks will have left but we'll still want you to get there in time" he said.
Zadina giggled hugging Hebal's ears "Maybe not just now, it's really windy up high and you might get blown off course" he said "And I could always help you out with float spells so you are guaranteed to land safely if the mothers aren't comfortable with it." he suggested.
Oassu smiled "Don't worry, machinery isn't that interesting to me" he said taking Felina's hand and kissing her "Still this place is pretty impressive, but I still prefer having my feet firmly on ground you know?" he said reaching over to pet Cid.
Gil shrugged "It was an accident in my master's tower problem with the armour is you can't remove it, so imagine I couldn't touch you or hug you or anything" he sighed stroking Satoshi fondly "Plus the armour thirsted for blood made you a violent person, you sought out war and conflict that way" he shook his head "But go get a dessert I was thinking getting one myself...maybe another bottle of wine too" he said noting the empty glasses and bottle.
Mari nodded picking up Sophia and wrapping her in the scarf so she was in a sling over her shoulder where she yawned happily "Alright then, I guess we should get going" she said watching as Ivy flew over to the sling to join in the snugglefest "You really think we'll be able to get into matches though? Won't all the tickets be gone?" she asked.

Seph smiled picking Itaka up with her tail and placed him behind her on the chocobo "You don't have to come and watch me fight if you don't want to. Don't let me boss you about too much" she said releasing him from her grip and pulling him into a kiss "It would be nice if you did come though, would be nice to see at least one person interested in the match"
Hebal gasped almost toppling over from Zadina's hug "Hehe easy there my elfy pal, my ears are the only thing that are keeping me balcenced on two legs... well my shoes put my feet in the right position for walking but you get the picture. I don't need the floaty spells either thank you, I'm super trained in jumping far places despite the wind" she reassured him holding onto the stall post to stay up.

Felina smiled back moving over to allow him to sit down beside her. "Mmmhmm but at least they give us a ground that stays in position right? I would hate it if the ground always shook or moved up and down or if the ground was see through" she agreed with him kissing him on the cheek "Machinery is kind of scary to me. They come up with all sorts of good things like the airship but they also make some pretty mean things like guns"
Satoshi grinned catching the waiters eye who promptly flew over for their order "That would suck if you couldn't do stuff like hug people... well I guess you could but your armor would be all cold and not very soft. How did you get it on and off then. Oh and I'll have a strawberry cheesecake and a bottle of red wine and he'll have..." she trailed off allowing Gil to finish the sentence with his order.
Yusti shook her head reaching up onto the top of the stall to remove the banner and other decorations overhead "The matches are never sold out at this time of day unless a big name is revealed to be fighting at night. I'll buy them if you want also since I have a staff discount" she smiled wondering what they were to do with the dresses until the morning.

Oassu nodded sagely "Yeah technology is kinda a double-edged sword that way, guess thats why most Viera and elves steer clear of the stuff eh?" he chuckled "You guys are better at magic than most of us humans so it doesn't matter so much" he said.
Gil looked at the menu "I'll have the hot chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream please" he said handing the menu back "Anyway yeah, I don't imagine you would like it if I couldn't touch you" he chuckled "But my master commanded me to try on the suit see what it was like and what it did...he suspected it was cursed you see so wanted me to try it first" he explained "As for getting it off, it only comes off when the wearer is dead or almost dead as it would seem." he said "One time I was sailing to a battle as reinforcements and the enemy summoned leviathan to assault the ship, I was knocked overboard and because the armour was so heavy I just sunk, then after I'd passed out it must've released me" he sighed "Thought I was going to die, but these mermaids found me, breathed life into me with their magic and took me to their city," he said "After that they gave me some money and food, which was horrible by the way, and took me to a surface village by the sea" he said
Mari smiled "Guess it's a really good thing you got assigned to help us then, we're really lucky to have you along" she laughed getting up and going over to the dresses "I suppose we could store these at my place if you like I've got plenty of room in my cabin." she said.
Itaka smiled enjoying the kiss "Of course I want to come, you're one of the most pleasant sights in my eyes you know?" he said stroking her wings "Besides you'll be brilliant and that'll be great fun to watch you know?" he said happily.
Zadina gasped releasing Hebal's ears "Oh I'm sorry Miss Hebal...I know you don't need float spells but it might make the mothers less worried about their children but why do your ears affect your balance so much, I don't think mine work that way" he said twanging his ear to see if it had an effect.

Seph smiled signalling for Chobi to turn around and take off "Yeah, I totally will be awesome and your going to need to check out the compltition if you want a chace of winning" she winked at him twisting her body around to direct the chocobo downwards "Yout a pretty awesome sight yourself without all the showing off" she remarked patting his shoulder.
Hebal giggled twanging Zadina's other ear "Sure your ear does. It has this little canal thing that helps balence. But since you elves have elvolved to walk on 2 legs and viera have not, balencing on two legs is harder so needs more balency stuff which is partly why ears are so big" she explained twanging his ear a second time "Viera are still built for all fours"

Felina laughed quietly to herself stretching her legs out across the floor "You would be just as good as us elves privided you had more time to train in magic. It takes more than your life time to perfect all the well known spells. As for the viera, they live in isolation so will most likely never use machinery and choose magic out of neccessity" she shrugged tickling Cid's legs.
Satoshi frowned reaching over to kiss Gil's hand "Your master doesn't sound too nice making you try the cursed armor on like that and I think I understand where your fear of water comes from now. Still what were the mermaids like? Were they all nice and friendly and looking like what you see in all the story books?" she grinned wiping her face with her napkin.
Yusti smiled scooping up as many of the dresses as possible and placed them into a carrier bag she picked up earlier when buying clothing for Sophia "I bet most of the nice staff would do the same thing so long as you didn't do anything to upset them. Would you like to take these back to the cabin first or can you carry them around by the way" she added tying a knot in the bag handles.

Oassu smiled stroking Felina's legs as Cid hopped on her lap "I guess so but our mages can get pretty good still we get a good balance of both technology and magic so it's all good really" he said happily "What would you like to do next?" he asked.
Gil smiled leaning over to kiss Satoshi as the waiter returned with a bottle of wine "Yeah they were kinda like that, but I've not read any story books of them but I had two masters, the sword master that trained me, then the evil sorcerer that destroyed my town, this one was the latter kind you know besides when I tried on the suit I killed him so I guess I owe it something" he shrugged pouring them both another glass of wine.
Mari frowned "We still have quite a few, best take them back for now, we'll need to tell Satoshi what went on later, what time is my curfew at Yusti?" she asked the Gria as she helped her gather dresses.
Itaka smiled resting his chin on Seph's shoulder while hugging her from behind "Thanks for that and I guess so but I'm totally expecting you to put this Gria out of the competition tonight," he said playing with Seph's tail happily "Though do you really think this armour will do you some good?" he said pinging a strap on it.
Zadina giggled "I never really was bothered by it but I suppose since you go on all fours it makes sense but I always thought it seemed rather cute seeing Viera walk about like that" he said wiggling his ears.

Seph smiled back letting out a small laugh at her tail was tickled "Hey don't do that or you'll damage the armor and believe it or not it does provide protection. Just you wait and see tonight" she added sticking her tongue out at him and giving his hand a light slap with her tail before directing Chobi to turn around.
Hebal grinned crouching down "Yeah maybe it is but four legs just aren't really advantageous anymore to us. We can move faster on two legs and reach for high up stuff. Plus you have no idea how uncomfy it is when doing this on the solid city ground" she explained hopping about for a moment on all fours to demonstrate.

Felina shrugged raising her head to view the gift shop open across the hall "Umm... well we can either wait here for the rest of the tour, buy a little junk item from the shop or slip away and have another wander. To be honest I think we have probably seen the best parts of the tour" she whispered petting Cid's ears.
Satoshi sighed taking a sip from her wine "Sounds bad. But why did you make him your master if he destroyed your town, was it some form of spell?" she muttered taking a second sip "I take it the sorcerer wasn't very good at teaching either. Still I do kind of envy you for getting to see the mermaids"
Yusti paused concentrating on hooking some of the dresses onto her horns and tail "Your curfew tonight is set to 9.30 which is half an hour after the final matches of the day start, naturally if you have an evening match in future you'll be allowed to stay up more" she answered pushing material out of her face.

Oassu smiled "Lets duck out then, we can swing by the gift shop though, might have something fun in there Cid might like" he said getting up and offering Felina a hand up from the bench "After maybe we should get some food.." he said
Gil shook his head "I didn't have a choice was more like he let me live and needed someone to help him with stuff, he never planned on teaching me anything just on using me to carry his potions and try out his spells on, thats how I got my arms and skin colour you know anyway but I'll take you to see the mermaids one day" he said stroking Satoshi's face gently.
Mari giggled seeing the dresses on Yusti "Wow, must be really useful having horns and tails huh? But that's not such a bad time, these kids could probably use the early bedtime once in a while anyway" she said indicating the fiends in the sling.
Itaka chuckled "If you say so, personally this looks pretty flimsy I could just rip it off you easily" he said rubbing his hand where it was slapped before going back to snuggling Seph "Still hopefully you'll mop the floor with her and won't need to put your armour to the test" he said.
Zadina giggled "I'd think the four legs would be faster but it looks pretty fun and interesting" he said imitating Hebal by walking around with her on all fours "Still I can see why this would be a pain after a while" he said straightening up once his back got stiff.
