:::She began to focus as it reached about half it's journey towards her. It was plenty of time, with Cora's practice, to slow it down and stop it entirely in mid air, and hold it there without too much more concentration:::
I can hold this for a little while.
:::She could even talk now while maintainging it:::
I can slow down larger objects, but keeping them still like this is difficult yet.

:::Cora catches two of them in her hands, and slowed the third down so that it hovered somewhere in front of her. She tucked the ball from her left hand under her right elbow, pressed to her side, and leisurely snatched up the ball she'd stopped with her newly freed hand:::

*Suddenly, twenty balls of various sizes fell down around Cora from a foot above her head*

:::Cora gasped as on sudden notice, these sorted things came down all around her. She thought quickly and knew that instead of focusing on the balls themselves, she'd just have to stop time within the encompassing area just above the floor...much like a net:::

*unfortunately, realization wasn't enough. All the balls came thunking down on the floor, then disappeared*
That will be the next step, Cora. Focusing on multiple objects at once. You can't concentrate on an area. Not yet. You still have to concentrate on individual items. But now you have multiples that you must focus on, all at once. That will be the next step.

Well, I'm able to focus on two or three small objects at once. I've been practicing that from the beginning with beer containers. But so many things at once... I... I wasn't prepaired.
