I am not allowed to go back to my own time... but am I allowed to visit the times of others should they invite me? Without endangering anyone?

Yes. You can visit other people's time. After time, you will fade back into the Brink. As for endangerment.. That depends on what you do while there. But nobody is in no more danger than they would have been before what happened.
