Mia watched as two walked off. She pushed up, feeling the pain run through her chest. She started coughing again, grabbing her bag. Home is where she wished she'd stayed. Her only problem now was that she had nobody there to dislodge the bullet.

She went off looking for Quinn, hoping he was at the pizza place. The place seemed to be empty, and the door was locked. She then stepped into the alleyway, finding the back door was unlocked. Quietly, she stepped in and went up to his room, rapping on the door. He wasn't there.

She went inside, pulling out a small bottle of healing elixir she'd made. There was no way she was going to dislodge this bullet herself. She pulled a small knife out of her bag and went to the bathroom in front of the mirror.

Slowly, she pressed the knife in trying to dislodge the bullet, without much success. Her hand and upper chest, near the top of her sternum, were now covered in blood. She grabbed the sink with the hand holding the knife. Her grip slipped, smearing blood across the sink, and she collapsed against the bathroom floor, one hand holding the knife the other holding the elixir.

((Gotta run..damnish. I'll finish this off later.))

*Cady sighs. This would not do, not do at all. He wanders into a room full of crossbows from throughout the ages. He finds the one he's looking for, a 7 shot barrel loader. He takes it down fom its place and looks, almost sadly at the spot where his favorite one used to be. He'd have to try to recover that... He walks into a different room and opens a metal draw, it has hundreds of bolts in little holding slots. he takes out quite a few and slots them into barrels for his crossbow. He then opens a different drawer and pulls out some nastier looking barbed bolts He fills one barrel with these, then he opens a third drawer with his pride and joy. Bolts with silver nitrate capsules, designed to break once inside the target. He fulls a barrel with these. This totals 7 barrels. He wanders over to a cupboard and takes outa selection of conical flasks, 2 silver nitrate and 2 with a voloatle mixture which in contact with oxygen bursts into flames. He uts them all into a black sports bag, and walks out of this lab, past his alchemist who has already started working to replace the supplies cady just took.*

"Xan. Listen to me." His voice fianlly showed a bit of emotion, but was deadly serious. "Hear the ticking?" He slips his coat off slowly.

He closes his eyes. "He took out some insurance... There's absolutely no way I'm going to live though this with the amount of people shooting me." He tries to conceal the tears brimming over his eyelids from her as he turns away. "I need you to stay away from me.. at all costs.." He swallows. "Just incase... I got boom.."

"I will not stay away from you!" She was too weak to be angry, she was hurt that he'd even suggest something like that. "My God, if I was worried about getting hurt from being around you, or even dying for you, do you think I'd still be here?!" The last outburst had sent fresh waves of pain from her stomach, she she used the back of the sofa to keep herself sat up. "No. I'd be back home in New Zealand. Not here."

*Cady wanders through into a bathroom, and calls for some of his servants to bath him. He undresses himself and sinks into the bath, but after that a group of three or four young women enter to clean him. While they're doing that he calls for his blood boy. A boy no older than 11 who has been raised since birth to have rich blood. He takes the boy's wrist and begins to feed from it. The boy cringes slightly but doesnt say a word as the vampire draws blood from him*

He closes his eyes and nods slightly. "I'm sorry I snapped..." He walks over to her and kneels infront of her. "Stay here atleast.. Your apartment is too dangerous." He kisses her hand softly. "I already know about the council.. No need to inform me. They want to take my leader powers then execute me. That being a 'minor' detail they left out of the letter." He sighs slightly. "But I don't care. As long as I know I still have you. I can carry on." He leans forward and kisses her cheek.

*Cady gets out of the bath and his servants dry him. his blood by leaves to recouperate. He looks a bit pale. when he's dry Cady wanders into an expansive walk-in wardrobe and selects a black tuxedo suit, with chainmail under the velvet in the jacket. he walks back out into the main room, and then into the place he left the sports bag full of guns. He gets his cane and hads for the garage. A chaufer is waiting for him, and loads his stuff into the car, then opens the door for the vampire himself.* Time to go hunting.
