Clark's instructions are incomplete. The first link you have to click is:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/index.php?event=
That should give you an event that you missed because of the glitch. I've gotten brown and blue boxes from that. Next, the numbers run from 1 to 100 and the letters run from a to z. Using Firefox you're guaranteed to get something good if you run through the whole thing. Spider got Nitemare Claws from the first link alone.

Okeedoke. Official(ish) explanation of those links, why they're okay, and how they work.
When you get an event on Gaia, it never vanishes if you don't claim it. It remains in the database. The first 'lost event' link, the one with no number at the end of it, will always retrieve your last lost event. If you click on it and receive nothing, then you're up to date on your events.
The links with numbers attached basically retrieve previous events by the number. (As is my understanding). If you have gotten two events that you haven't claimed, link =1 will retrieve the last one and link =2 will retrieve the next-to-last one.
So as you're going down the list you're manually checking your past history of events. New accounts are most likely not going to get events using the links. Old accounts who may have seemed to have not gotten an event in a very long time will possibly retrieve many using the links.

What about the links with letters on the end?

Same deal, they just direct to past events. Chances are that you've either a) already claimed the events of most of the links or b) haven't received an event corrosponding to that exact number/letter yet.

Didn't realize you could do that. Is it a special mod power?

All mods can do it. We just don't broadcast it.

I still do it often.
Especially when I'm working on my Puzzle thread.
