Seph smiled trying to imagine Itaka with a pair of black bat like wings similar to her own "I think you would look pretty cool with wings but if you don't have them now you probably won't grow a pair I'm sorry to say" she chuckled giving him a pat on the back "It's actually not that simple you know. Like if a person does an aerial attack that involves diving towards you, it's physically impossible to pull out of it and head straight back up the way you came instantly. It would destroy your spine" she explained.
Hebal shrugged resisting the temptation to make more noises "I dunno what mum would say, probably wouldn't approve but never mind her. She's nice but can be a whiny old bagpipe when she wants to be. I tend to switch off and think of bunny rabbits and sheep when she goes into complainy mode" she grinned settling with a small dance on the spot.

Felina smiled back extending her spell onto Oassu causing him to also float up the remaining steps "Sure we have been this high before because of the airship but I guess this place is kinda like the top of the world as far as height goes for buildings and people places" she concluded trying not to laugh at the tired out tourists looking back at them with feelings of slight jealousy "Do you mean cid bouncing from the ground floor to the top? That would be awesome and would make him a good look out bunny in lots of places"
Satoshi shrugged waiting until a group of people had stopped cheering over a match result before answering "I'm ok with reptiles but it wasn't what I was first looking for. I was thinking of getting a cat or a monkey at first but then I saw that guy was a half price due to lack of interest so I felt sorry for him. I think I made a good choice in the end though, monkies can be smelly" she grinned.
Yusti chuckled quickly dealing with a grian speaking customer in need of assistence before turning to reply to Mari "Your not weirdos as indviduals but as a group you are I'm sorry to say" she muttered watching Mari play with Sophia "Say, did Oassu not want to take part in the arena? I would have noticed is someone with such an unusual name was entered"

Oassu nodded "Yeahup plus I bet he'd have some good gun leaping into the sky like that" he said relieved not to be walking anymore "I wonder how the Gria deal with the massive air pressure there must be up here..." he said wondering why his ears hadn't popped or anything.
Gil smiled watching a victorious Gria fly around the arena "Thats awfully nice of you and who wouldn't want such a lovely snake like yourself" he said reaching over to pet Terrato "And sure monkies are smelly, and they try and take your stuff too, much better off with a snake" he laughed "Just so long as you clean his skin out once it sheds."
Mari shook her head "Oassu did want to take part but his arm was broken and he's a ninja, so it'd affect him heavily, Felina kept him out of it so she could work on his arm" she said
Itaka shrugged "You never know, technology might develop something for me then we could all go flying together and Chobi too, but meh you would know about flying manouvers so I won't lecture you on it since you say it's so hard." he laughed as Chobi ascended to the top levels.
Zadina nodded helping the Grian customer with wing holes once Yusti had explained what she needed "Mmhmm that sounds very nice, but where is it that you Viera originate from?" he asked curiously.

Seph nodded tapping her fingers against Itaka's armored arm "Yep the flyer knows best what manovers can be done. You have to be unnaturally felxible to do a perfect U turn when trying to pull out of a dive and-" she cut off blushing slightly as she realised what was on the top level "Umm... maybe we should just go see where the moogle district is" she muttered directing Chobi away from that area.
Hebal giggled shaking her head "Nooo silly we so didn't originate from sheep, we're not wooly enough" she giggled pulling thr changing room curtain back for the customer. "Or did you mean bunny rabbits? I don't think we evolved from them but I bet we have some sort of comon ancestor we both originated from. I never really thought about stuff like that apart from the fact we don't have tails but I wonder why since they could be useful" she pondered

Felina smiled realising she had an idea about Oassu's question "I think I know, its because our ears popped on the airship on our way up and when you stick around in places like these for a while your ears sort of get used to the air pressure and only pop again when it suddenly changes" she suggested letting out a sigh of relief as they finally reached the top of the tower "Oh and what do you mean by good gun?"
Satoshi shuddered slightly imagining what her room would be like if she didn't clean up after Terrato "Of course I'll clean it out otherwise it will make the airship look all dirty. Could just toss it out the window I guess but the problem is that so many people are afraid of snakes though I have no idea why" she added noticing a waitress somewhat reluctant to go near them because of the creature.
Yusti frowned sitting herself down on the chair "Well that sucks for him, it sounds like a rather inconvenient time to break your arm but I guess thats life sometimes. At least he's ok then and theres always next year if he wants to compete then if he doesn't mind more competitors due to a change in competition rules"

Oassu smiled "Good fun I mean" he chuckled glad to be at the top "But ok still seems odd but I guess the Gria are used to being up here" he said being quiet as the Gria led them through a series of offices where Gria were working resiliently.
Gil chuckled "Yeah Enkidu looks friendly most of the time but he can get all mean and scary in a second still snakes are pretty poisonous and they don't know how well trained he is" he said glancing at the waitress rush by their table quickly.
Mari nodded "I dunno next year he'll hopefully be getting married to Felina so there will be a buncha plans next year but he could have a chance to try if he wants" she said happily.
Itaka frowned "Hnh? Didn't think the Gria were into that kinda stuff......" he said spying the top floor shops before turning Gria away "Seems like quite a lot of this top level stuff is like this" he frowned as more odd shops popped up before heavy winds buffeted Chobi "The wind's also much stronger up her" he said guiding Chobi down "Must be looking in the wrong place." he said.
Zadina nodded "I was just wondering how you came about, we Elves come from trees apparently so I was simply a little curious as to what you Viera originated from but you are all cute just like bunnies" he said happily.

Seph quietly let out a small sigh glad that Itaka had helped her steer Chobi away from that particular area "To each their own I guess and I bet the high winds restrict who can fly up there but lets go check out that bridge over there, it's the first one I've seen in this city so far" she decided rubbing Itaka's tummy "I have no idea who to tell if a place is a moogle area by the way so you'll have to keep look out with me"
Hebal raised her eyebrow at Zadina lightly tapping his head then the side of the stall "Well thats a funny theory, you neither feel or sound verry wooden or barky tree like to me" she grinned waving her arms around "Lookitme I'm a tree waving my branches in the wind! You elves do nothing like that plus your far cooler but can you talk to trees and stuff?"

Felina hesitated poking her head through an open window of one of the offices "Man these places look dull to work in but that is more like it" she grinned as they were lead out onto a giant viewing platform a few short steps further up "They may get funny ears when below the clouds and just be happy you can't hear the ringing I can" she sighed glancing down at the gria on the lower levels almost the size of ants "Wow we really are high up"
Satoshi smiled happy to see that their meal was already about to be served to them "They must be using magic to cook our food this fast not that I am complaining since I'm starving. But anyway Terrato is actually a not so poisonous snake and would only give you a tummy ache if he bit you. Did you have any pets before Enkidu?" she suddenly wondered.
Yusti rubbed her wing before beginning to swing back on her chair "In that case I bet he'll be too busy starting his own little family and the like this time next year. Hebal could enter next year to since spears, pikes and lances are going to be allowed, oh and knives" she remembered stretching her wings out

Oassu smiled "Yeah and offices had to be somewhere for them to do all the paperwork involved with running a place." he said "I think I see Itaka and Seph up here" he said pointing to a small golden speck flying around the top of the city "This place must allow them to supervise everywhere in the city at once" he said noting the platform went all the way around the pillar.
Gil nodded "Can't be a Gria chef then, they don't learn black magic and couldn't use their sun power indoors" he shrugged smiling as Enkidu looked up at him longingly before Gil placed the steak down for him to chew on. "And I guess thats ok but nah I didn't have any other pets, well apart from a few rats I suppose but they weren't really mine." he said.
Mari raised an eyebrow "Are knives not allowed already?" she asked watching Yusti's wings "I'd think they'd come under blades, Oassu might not have been able to enter just now anyway then but are you opening it to all sorts of battle?" she asked.
Itaka nodded his hair blowing up with the wind "Well I'll just keep a lookout for the midget-sized area" he said dropping down to the upper-mid level "There outta the red light district I guess" he chuckled reaching back to stroke Seph's wings and tail.
Zadina giggled "We can hear trees but I don't know anyone that can speak to them, they don't say much interesting stuff anyway but we're not all that stiff and treelike!" he insisted.

Seph smiled happily flapping her wings in the direction of the the wind "Yeah out we go. Don't want people getting the wrong idea seeing us hang about like that. I hope we can find it soon since my match is only an hour and a half away" she remembered glancing up at the giant clock on the side of the central tower "You know what I've been thinking? Do you think it would be possible to teach Chobi how to treasure hunt?"
Hebal also giggled waving her arms aroud one last time before standing to attention as the gria came out the fitting rooms to pay for the dress "I know your not wooden cause I have seen you move and play and dance and the like. But what do trees talk about anyway, I mean to a point I bet they are like viere cause they always stick around in roughly the same place and never really go out and about"

Felina shivered slightly moving closer to the edge where a telescope could be used in exchange for 10 gil "Oh yeah I can see them along with all sorts of things all over the city" she grinned looking under the telescope then allowing Cid to do the same once the wind blowing her hair about started to become annoying. "You should have a look too, the view is totally worth it and I suppose the offices won't be so bad so long as the room has a window"
Satoshi chuckled watching Terrato swallow his own steak whole "Ha ha I guess that guy was hungry too. Do you really mean that you just adopted a couple of rats you found hanging around in the street. Thats kind of cute but thinking about it.... I know nothing of your upbringing so why not tell me a bit about it. I'll tell you some stuff about mine in return" she questionned him unfolding her napkin ready to start the meal.
Yusti hesitated working out one or two measurements using her hands and tail "Well they are and they aren't. Technically they are but there are length restrictions. They have to be no smaller than this so no pen knives or things like that. It's because in the past we have had difficulty keeping an eye on fighters with those weapons. In the past people have been using them for sneaky attacks such as rubbing poison on the blade" she tried explaining holding out her hands to demonstrate the size.

Oassu nodded going and having a look as well "I guess this thing up here was placed purely for the tourists on this tour I can't imagine the staff regularly using it." he said laughing as he looked through the lens "And given the content of the shops on the top level I'm thinking this was a silly idea of theirs now" he said stepping back allowing another person to look.
Gil shook his head "No...didn't really work out like that they weren't mine, I just looked after them for my master" he said shrugging as he laid his napkin on his lap "Well I was born in a small Crescian town, thats west of Agralia" he said before chewing some of his steak "Folk there were mostly farming in the sun it was quite an easygoing life...." he said frowning unsure what to say "What else would you really like to know?" he asked.
Mari frowned "I thought you only distributed tournament standard blunted weapons, my katana was more like a baton, it's a shame really it cuts back my power when I'm not using my own sword" she sighed patting her own sword fondly.
Itaka nodded "Don't think I'm experienced enough yet to want to try that stuff yet" he said glancing at some young Gria flying over wanting to stroke Chobi as she descended "Hmm....not a bad idea but I thought some chocobo's had to be cut out for that stuff...." he frowned "That said I don't have a treasure hunting chocobo in my ranch" he grumbled.
Zadina nodded thinking for a moment "They just talk about the things going on, how annoyed they are when people climb and sit on them...mind you some trees like the company of that." he giggled as he recalled a memory "I once saw a human hug a tree and the tree went 'eww get it off me'" he laughed.

Seph smiled folding her wings allowing the young gria to pet Chobi "I think with a little bit of training Chobi could be a good treasure hunter and she's noisy enough that we would know if she found something. Just think of all the treasure and rare items we could dig up on our travels. Then maybe she can teach her chicobos how to do it too" she stated cheerfully planning the idea out in her head.
Hebal frowned shaking her head with disapproval "Awww that isn't a very nice thing to think. Especially when you consider how nice free hugs can be. I can understant the other stuff though, I wouldn't like someone to climb onto my head and sit on me. It would hirt my ears and I guess you could compare them to branches and my hair to leaves"

Felina blushed sneaking another look through the telescope to see what Oassu was talking about "Uhh yeah that seems a little silly but I bey people are more likely to look down than up. Oh and maybe all those shops were built there after the telescopes were put in" she suggested giving him a hug "I think this would be a great place for the staff to take a lunch break"
Satoshi shrugged cutting up her pastry "I don't know, just anything really. I was just curious since theres not that much about you that I know and early life isn't really something thats been brought up in a conversation. Did you like living in that place and did you live on a farm then?" she asked further somewhat surprised by his information.
Yusti chuckled giving Mari a pat on the shoulder "Thats the idea silly, it we let you all run around fighting at full power then there would be too many casualties than there are medics to look after you all. But people can still tamper with weapons but due to the size of the normal blades its a lot easier to detect tampering than it is with little knife blades"

Oassu nodded hugging Felina back "I guess so but I don't think they'd really care for the view so much when they can fly so high anytime they want" he chuckled walking around the platform looking up at the giant clock above them "Keep a good hold of Cid" he said.
Gil shook his head "This steak is delicious" he chuckled finishing his wine and pouring himself another glass, well no I didn't live on a farm. I lived in a small house with my parents" he said "My neighbour was a retired swordsmaster, it was him who trained me my in my skills" he explained "Of course...my family really wanted me to learn thinking it'd be more useful than educational skills so I didn't really attend any school..." he sighed.
Mari frowned "Ok but you could just ensure they only receive their blade when they enter the arena but ok I guess you folks know how to deal with it best" she said snuggling Sophia happily. "I don't think any 'full power' arena's like that exist anymore do they?" she asked.
Itaka slowed Chobi down so she could be petted while the Grian children complimented Chobi in their language "Yeah I guess but like I said I think they need to have a special talent for finding treasure or at least be taught young, not sure if we can teach her anymore really..." he said stroking Chobi's neck.
Zadina giggled "I dunno the human was pretty smelly and dirty, might not have been the best hug in the world and your ears are lovely so I'll make sure no-one sits on your head!" he promised turning back to deal with a customer.
