I could have tried taking advantage of you then. You didn't realize what was going on, and I could have easily pressed the matter. But when I realized you had no idea... I didn't. I left, didn't I? Now does that sound like the action that a man would take if his goal was to simply have sex with you? Why would I care about whether or not you realized what was going on?

Oh, I don't doubt that, Sly. But if I was only after sex, what would it have hurt for me to try? And the time after that, while we shared such a warm embrace.... I might have coerced you, or at least attempted to. But I made it clear right then that I wouldn't try to force it. Thats not what I'm about. Casual sex can be fun, but when you meet someone who means something special to you.... When you know you have a connection that is more than just lust.... That is something else entirely. Something worth waiting for. Worth nuturing. Not something rushed for the thrill, the cheap pleasure of desire. LOVE is more than that.

Cora, I would LOVE to have sex with you. But I want more than that. I want to love you, not just make love to you. I want us to snuggle next to a warm fireplace sipping chardonay and telling eachother funny little stories. I want us to be able to trust eachother implicitly, like only those in love can. But yes. Sex is good too. just as long as that isn't all there is between us.

Its a structure for containing fire without it damaging things. Its a way to provide warmth, and is for some soothing to watch. Its a perfect thing to cuddle next to.
