Take a few steps away by Katherine, Jack's head would tilt a bit and he watches her as she speaks. He then replies after a moment of silence. "You did not know that already? You mean to tell me you could not figure out anything about him even though you have known him for quite some time? That brow raises slightly and he continues to speak. "Paradox does exactly what I do. And we both cannot harbor the light elemental, but you have the potential to do so."

He hand lifts and that darkness-clad index finger extending. He would then poke her forehead lightly. "It is in here, somewhere. Your real strength is somewhere deep in there." He lowers his hand, watching her another moment before continuing to speak. "How are you feeling today after victory? Do you feel as though you have grown?"

She noticed the girl hadn't drank the wine but that sip, she should find her something else. She felt the poke then and looked back to him. "Yes and no." She said truthfully. "I feel like when you had given me that power, i can use mine more.. easily.. I can see the lines of power clearer and more sharper than i have ever, better than i can see in the mortal way. Everything feels so sharply connected to everything else. Victory however you know well enough is another matter. If i had been... better. This would have never happened in the first place.." She was having a hard time explaining it. "Now coming home to ... its difficult harder than you think to sit here and wait."

"I saw Illomeania yesterday, I had to threaten her.. she said when i did she didn't want to end up like you. I wouldn't mind knowing what she meant by that either." She cast a glance over her shoulder this time with a smile playing her lips. Something in her tone was almost playful. She looked back to the girl. "I am going to go get you something to eat and something you might like to drink. You don't need to be frightened of him. After you eat i will find you a room." She then started away from both of them for the moment.

Lifting that roll of tobacco to his lips, he would draw upon it. Lowering it back to his side, smoke would seethe upwards past the corners of his nostrils. The world was different when he was around, it was darker. Shadow grew and light faded. Metal rusts and wood rots. Turning his gaze aside, he would watch Katherine walk away, this form remaining silent for the time being.

His words roll of his tongue as he feigns ignorance. "Tell you about exactly what, My Love?" His head tilts slightly. That slightly curly strand of raven falling aside a ways, from the right side of his left eye to his right. There was something about the girl whom Katherine brought food for. This gaze would travel aside to her, that never-blinking, eerie gaze that somehow never lacks thirst. Sekain always meant a speed bump. This means anything left by him was a speed bump.

A nearly dead sidiion soldier came through the main hall carried by the strength of navy two navy soldiers. The sidiion was a woman...her armor was nearly completely destroyed as though something massive had torn straight through it. She was bandaged across her stomach area. As soon as she was brought in, an over amount of guards poured towards the library to say one of the group sent has returned alive.
