Min nuvarande föreläsare har skrivit en bok om representation, och i det kapitel jag läser nu står det om hens upplevelser av en regnig första maj-dag i Katrineholm. Hen gick i första maj-tåget och såg få invandrare.
"The majority of the participating municipal employees are white, Swedish women. None of the people I talk to can give a reasonable explanation for why no immigrant workers are taking part in the protest march. As a matter of fact, they all seem rather surprised when I ask them. Apparently, nobody has given it any thought, even though, as one woman stresses, a lot of immigrants work within elderly care in Katrineholm. Most of them blame the weather."
