You insist on digging your own holes, an inside voice mocked. Trist told it to shut up. It responded with: Arguing with the voice in your head. Always a good sign.
After that, she left it alone and turned her attention back to Beans. "She's at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. It's one of those fancy-schmancy casinos." She pocketed her cell, and returned Beans's, standing up. Trist glanced outside the hospital window, then walked to the door, hesitating at the doorway.
"I'll try and get her back," she promised, trying not to act like a teenage girl. The hallways stretching out on either side of the doorway were clear, allowing Trist easy escape to her motorcycle. Good thing she had a police escort.
Well, sorta.

Beans leaned back again, and settled down on his pillow. His thoughts were mixed, but knowing that a sixteen-year-old girl was on the case... didn't really ease his mind that much, honestly enough.
((Guess the Don's ignoring Martyn and Alfone.))

Laura got fed up with Lawliet. He would call her every half an hour to ask stupid questions. Finally she yelled at him and threw the phone into the wall. It broke. "Oops... that wasn't mine... Oh well. Maybe I should get one..." She sighed. She walked out of the building to the nearest cell phone shop she knew.

((Oh.))
It was Martyn. And behind him, sitting in a waiting chair, was Alfone, whom everyone at the Mafia knew had been kidnapped.

"This isn't really that bad" Anthony said about his food.
"Come on in. The Don would like to see you" the man said and opened the doors.

Laura walked into the cell phone shop and started looking at phones. "Hello, can I help you, little girl." The lady behind the counter asked. Laura was ticked but bit her tongue and acted normal. "Uh... yeah. I want to buy a cell phone." Laura said. "Is this your first time?" She asked. "Yeah." Laura replied. "Then I'll need your parents to sign a contract." She smiled. Laura got more ticked off. "What if I don't have a parent." Laura snapped. "Then I'll need your guardian to sign." She replied. "What if I don't have a guardian either." Laura replied harshly. "Then you can't buy a cell phone. Rules are rules." She replied. "But..." "No buts!" The lady replied. "But what if I'm a very very rich little girl who's 'aunt' is a very busy woman." Laura winked. "... How rich." She asked. "Maria Anderson?" Laura smiled. "I guess you do have the family resemblance... $100 under the table and I'll let you forge." She sighed. Laura pulled out the money and laid it on the counter. "Deal." She smiled. The lady sighed, put the money away, and started drawing up her contract.

Laura walked out a happy camper with her new cell. Her 'foster aunt' would have to pay her bill and Laura had unlimited texting and calls." She walked back to the Mafia building. She got the bartender to give her Tony's number, and reluctantly, he told her. After learning how to figure her phone out, she texted Tony, praying it would work.
"Hey Tony. I got a cell phone. Please don't kill me. Lawliet is being an idiot/ not listening to me. I don't know what he's doing." She sent it.
"Texting is a pain..." She thought with a small sigh. "I hope he's not mad at me."
