After being told that I should relax and read more I decided to get the Enforcer and the Imperial Guard omnibus. Six stories, hopefully there will be something good in there.

I read both of them, good nerdy memories from those. I like to think of Ravenor as a little guilty pleasure, I know I had a paperback for ages, never really wanting to return it. sweatdrop

Kaori Kapoigne You should read eisenhorn and ravenor, both are bound to entertain you. I've read the first Ravenor book, it was quite a wild ride that really takes you places. Eisenhorn is proving to be somewhat hard to track down sadly. crying

The Imperial Guard omnibus was rather weak. redface The only good story included has got to be Fifteen Hours, which is both cruel and entertaining, all the while taking digs at life in the Guard and how the Imperium works. Death World sounded promising but failed to deliver, while Rebel Winter wasn't all that special.
The Enforcer omnibus started of slow, but the second story was great and the third one was okay.
Next up on the list is the Gothic War, which a very generous BF is getting me. blaugh

Finally got the Horus Heresy novel Nemesis and the Eldar novel Path of the Warrior. I'm curious about both. Nemesis for tackling what appears to be a non-Astartes story and Warrior for showing a story from the perspective of an alien race, all without an overly annoying use of the term Mon'Keigh all the time. I've also still got Call to Arms, Sword of Justice, Grey Seer, Curse of the Necrarch, Flesh and Iron and Dark Apostle on the "to read" stack. sweatdrop

Mister Curze. Btw, is his name have anything to do with "Heart of Darkness" or the movie version Apocalypse now?

Mister Curze. Btw, is his name have anything to do with "Heart of Darkness" or the movie version Apocalypse now? So far the novel is more about the six assassin houses and their efforts at trying to stop Horus before he reaches Terra. We also very quickly learn who created the Officio Assassinorum as their secret master, I found it a very surprising early reveal. As for Kurze himself, he is probably based on both.

Col.Kurtz of "Apocalypse Now" was based on the "Heart of darkness" Kurtz, so Kurze is related to both, and also might I add to certain superhero fighting the crime of Gotham city...
