CrazyRob I'll post this here so I don't spam the welcome thread where this conversation was happening: thefurnace MeakoSneezes Hey, furnace, what are dorms like? It depends on who you're around. I was lucky enough to be on a pretty fun and social floor of my dorm. There were probably about 15 different rooms with two people each on my floor. The one downside was that we all had to share one community bathroom area. But it was nice to be able to go to the lounge at any hour and start up a game of cards or just hang out and talk even at 3 or 4 in the morning. Everyone got along pretty well so there were no major problems. It's a good way to meet people and forces you to shift your comfort zone a little with so many people around all the time. I was extremely quiet and shy when I first started, but it helped me come out of my shell a lot. I personally think it's an experience everyone should have at some point. I wouldn't have minded living in a dorm my first year. But, when I finally picked a college, all the dorms had long been filled up. But, the place where I lived was really nice and brand new. 3nodding Yeah, I only lived there the first year. I moved off campus after that. At times I missed the fact that there was someone there to talk to at 4 in morning, but it was nice not having 30 people compete for 4 shower stalls.
