Jounouchi paused for a moment, then repeated in a disbelieving tone, "Fair." he paused again, "Is that it? It's not fair that I get to choose my own sexual orientation? Oh, but wait, you get to also! So only you can choose what gender you're attracted to? Yeah, that sounds fair." he gave off a dry laugh, "But you know what's really fair? That you took control over me and Anzu, tried to kill us and the two Yuugis, did tons of illegal things in the Battle City tournament and stole peoples' precious cards, stole my first kiss, tried to *rape* me, and then expected everything to work out just as you want it and everyone to become what sexuality you want them to be! Ha! Yeah, *that's* fair!"
((Yes...
I'm cheap as well, but I'm also obsessive. ^^;; I got the first one used for under $20, then I got addicted to it. I got the second one for my birthday, and the third one I used birthday money to get. So I made it work out. XD;; ))

Jounouchi retorted, "I'm willing to forgive you, all of us are, but that takes time, and you just keep ruining it by doing more horrible things!" Jounouchi could feel his face heating up even more, "And like hell you "possessed the ablity!" You just... you just took me by surprise and pinned me down like a coward! I managed to escape by tricking you, not by you suddenly deciding you wouldn't go through with it!"
((Holy crap, what if Yuugi or Honda and Anzu did wake up and have been hearing what's going on? o.o))

((Dun dun dunnn. Mhm, well I think Honda might say something and the conversation would be over. Oh, and Malik is in a different room anyway. Buuut, Yuugi can wake up... hm.. ^^;
Heh.. I'm still laughing hysterically from the other conversation... mhm, gotta be serious. *snort* ))
"I told you I didn't mean to." Malik responded with a firm tone. "and I do feel bad. Why do you think I drank my weight in alcohol last night? For fun? No, because I felt terrible and you were being too damn stubborn to forgive me! What choice did I have? It was that, or slitting my wrists." The Egyptian's voice grew viciously tantalizing, "But you probably would've preferred the latter, now wouldn't you?"
Yuugi wondered when the best time to make his presence known would be. He had woken up a few shouts ago and was deathly afraid of disrupting the duo's balance even more. Instead he lay in his bed, still wrapped up in his blankets and listened to the whole terrible conversation. Well, at least Jounouchi's side of things.

Jounouchi was at a loss for words again, "Y-you..." he stuttered, "You *honestly* think I would prefer that?! I may hate it when people drink, but that doesn't mean I'm some morbid person who would prefer blood and pain! I'm not... I'm not that cold hearted...!" he bit his lip, remembering the days when he would get into fights and hurt people without a care, leaving them bleeding in the streets. It's true, he never directly killed anyone, but there was always that possibility that he assisted in causing their deaths... "I can't believe... you would even say that..." his voice carried off.

Once the words had left his lips, Malik immediately regretted them. But it was true. He contemplated suicide numerous times, however last night had been an exception. He felt like he ought to stay alive given the various times Jounouchi had went out of his way to save him.
"...I didn't mean to touch a soft spot. I mean, I have considered suicide, but not last night. I just said that to get back at you. It was cruel of me to assume that..."

Jounouchi stared at the floor, not saying a word. Too much was being said in this one phone call... it was just too much. Jounouchi didn't want to deal with it. He didn't want to deal with anymore people and their words. But he forced himself to continue on. He wouldn't allow himself to be weak. "You... you've contemplated suicide...?" he asked quietly. As the statement played itself over in his head, he had to admit to he was surprised, even though he realized he shouldn't have been, considering Malik's past.

Silenced for a moment, Malik would have rather just nodded, but since they were talking through the use of cell phones, he'd have to say something eventually.
He inhaled deeply then began to speak in broken sentences, "... yea. More than contemplate actually. I've tried it a few times. Didn't actually succeed. Rishid saved me. Not like I wanted to be saved... just slit my wrists is all. Hoped I'd bleed to death or something. One time when I did it my darker self took over my body so I wouldn't die. But yea... usually Rishid found me. Woke up in bed, hardly remembered a thing... I would intoxicate myself first. That way it wouldn't hurt as much..." His voice was somber, his breathing slow and hard. He'd never told anybody this... why did it all have to pour out now?

Jounouchi remained quiet, taking all of Malik's words in. He... he really was in pain, wasn't he? To contemplate suicide... plenty of bad things had happened to Jounouchi and his friends in the past, but none of them had ever considered such a thing... Malik must... really be hurting... "...I'm sorry..." Jounouchi said quietly, "That your life has been hard enough to warrant that..."

Yuugi had sat up, figuring the conversation was over. He stared blankly at his friend. "What was that about....?" He questioned naively.
Malik marched into his living room and bellowed, "Get up, we're going to Yuugi's house!" and proceeded to throw extra pillows at Honda's face.
