Like in the past, the sudden display of emotion caught Kalis off guard, and he took a second to wrap an arm snugly around her shoulders, looking a touch confused.
You'd almost have thought the guy needed warning before leaping on him.
Or at least he was surprised by how quick to it she was. He'd probably have to try and get used to it sooner or later, but at the present point, he just let her squeeze and work all of whatever it was out of her system. For his part, he was looking emberassbed before she got to blushing. That was less about the sudden hug in front of some strangers- well, to him- than the fact that she was pressing her face into him and he didn't have a shirt on.
That, out of nowhere, and with people about, threw him a bit.
Kalis snapped out of it quickly enough when she spoke, nodding to Sunstrike and Siat in turn, and if they were close enough that he didn't have to move at all, he'd offer a hand to whichever or each with it. Something about fighting? What'm I getting into here? It was something to know, though it didn't trouble him much at all as he gave a rough right hand and firm shake. If Owle was asking him for help, he was hardly going to say no.
Not considering the sort of stuff she got herself into and didn't bother looking for a hand in.
"I don't remember the details, but I have a general idea," he looked at Sunstrike as Owle spoke, wondering what the guilty look was about. "So I guess that means we're all headed out. Y' don't need to ask."
He gave Sunstrike a joking grin.
"If your friend has the same penchant for getting into trouble you do, you'll need more than one set of hands to keep the both of you out of too much," thinking of the fight at the end of the tournament as he spoke. Or what he'd overheard before Flare and he wrecked the bar.
Oh, well, it'll be fun. Running off a few pansy-a** dieties can't be so tough.
"Who exactly are we-" but he'd looked back at Owle again. "Bird? You alright?"

AAAACKthoo!
Sneezing loudly, Slash rubbed his nose on a napkin nearby. Someone was talking about him. He looked over his shoulder briefly before placing himself at the bar, putting his feet up against the stone and pushing lightly backwards.
His head tilted backwards over the seat, looking behind him at the ensemble that was here now. For a brief moment he wondered how Owle had returned before him, but the hair tumbling over his face and the blood rushing to his head told him it was just a trick of the eyes as he shut them.
Time to wait.

Slash would then fall right onto his arse, if he wasn't careful.
Siat had apparently taken offense at the idea someone would dare put their feet on the bar, the same surface he was eating from. He had expressed this offence by stepping off his stool and gently creeping over to Slash, pressing his foot against the bottom of his seat, and pushing, removing it from under him.
Unless he had some sort of super hearing he wouldn't notice, his eyes shut and all.
Siat mumbled under his breath, fully expecting the man to piss off and learn his lesson.
"Rude motherfuh... a bar not a goddamn..."

As the chair tilted from underneath him, Slash barely moved. In fact, his eyes were still closed as he started to fall. But opposite to what might have been expected, his body twisted and his right foot hit the floor. Grabbing the chair with his left hand, he swung it over his body as he turned, letting it hit the floor at a slight angle inward as he swung his left foot up onto it, followed by his right crossing over.
The result? He was in the exact same position as before, only a few feet away. His eyes were still closed.
"... footrest..." he muttered, a smile now on his face.

Having long since faded into the background of newly-realized hustle and bustle within the establishment, D's right middle finger swirled around the lip of the empty glass. It was a good drink, a gone drink. She could leave... there was nothing in particular keeping her in the seat, no reason to stay. However, she was taking the day off so she had no reason to go.
Besides, some of these people were nice enough to be around, even if they weren't at the same table. A few people laughed, others debated on who was the better fighter out of some of their favorites, and more just bantered. Activity at the bar... hey, when did Sunstrike get here? Well, it's not like she knew the guy more than watching him fight a few times. So, she paid more attention to the tomfoolery at the bar than anything else while debating wether those two would be coming to blows soon. D' hoped not... she wanted to get a refill and at some time talk to Owle. Maybe this place'd be a nice investment.

Tilting his head curiously, he mistook the chair being swung as an attack, and did the first thing that made sense; grabbed onto it, stopping it in it's tracks.
The result? Slash either clinging desperately onto to it, or falling.

Instead of finishing his original move, Slash instead was forced to stop awkwardly halfway through. He still had a foot planted firmly on the ground, so instead he simply brought his other around and let go of the chair.
"That's rather rude of you. See to it that it doesn't happen again."
If left uninterupted, he'd take the next seat over and sit in much the same way as he was before.

Despite the merry-go-round that was going on between Siat and the stranger, Sun continued to stare at Owle, though the look turned a little long suffering as he tried to retain his patience.
The glow was noticed for a fraction of a second when there was a twang in his head, causing him to jump, just as Owle fell silent, staring at her wrist.
The hell?
Things went very cold in his mind for a moment, and the reverberations of something very big and bad speaking to HonoRaven...miles away, slammed through, and was gone like a hit and run. All it left with it was a small sense of curiosity, but no recognition on the powers part. Sun might have been familiar with it, if his mind didn't practically shut down because of shock.
The only outside indication it had happened, was that he physically looked a little uncomfortable, covered by a large sip of what Owle had placed in front of him. Inside there weren't really curse words enough for what he'd just felt. If he thought Tijae was bad....
He shook his head, one problem at a time. And whatever that had been was too big of one to solve on his own, anyway.
"Nice to meet you Kalis, and yeah, you've kinda stumbled into the blind leading the forgetful..."

Normally, Siat would've then smashed the guy with the stool, but that just seemed impolite, given the situation. Appropriately, he returned to his seat and made a note of the guys face, for another time, when there wasn't heroism to be endured.

"Thank you," Owle said to Kalis, looking up at him gratefully. She was a little too preoccupied to pay much attention to Slash and Siat playing, and she soon turned her eyes to the bracelet again. "Yeah, I'm alright, this-"
And then she clapped her hands over her mouth, pain contorting her features, a muffled scream bursting into her palms. Before their eyes, the woman vanished, leaving no trace behind save a broken circle carved into the floor where she had been.
About a mile away...
Owle sat comfortably on the red dragon Ryuji, her arms loosely around Rage's waist. She had ridden the dragon enough times not to fear losing her balance, so her position was more habit than precaution. And just as the Owle that had so recently been in the Firebrand had known nothing about her trip to Latent, this Owle had no knowledge that Sunstrike was in the Firebrand.
Until some unseen force slammed into her, spirit reuniting with itself, bending and merging into a whole. Her body went limp, system shutting down with the force of the merge. Her arms slide away from around Rage, and her body toppled over, slipping off Ryuji and falling toward the waves below.

"Oh no you don't," said Rage, grabbing on to one of the now-defunct Owle's arms. He had seen this before, and Owle's sudden disappearance of any sort of ESP-like presence told him that she had done it again. There was absolutely no need to simply waste a perfectly good part of oneself.
He'd keep hold of the arm until he could properly carry her in a fireman's carry, or failing that, until they landed outside the firebrand, the soft sand lessening the shock somewhat. "Thanks, bud," he said, giving the beast a pat on the side. A few low growls. Only to Rage, Owle, and any other Drakonic speakers did they sound like the musings of an intelligent beast.
"No, I don't ONLY use you for transportation...."
A few more.
"Fine, I'll cook you up something later." The dragon took off into the sky once again, although only briefly as he settled on the top of the building and curled up into a light sleep.
As his sandals clapped the wooden porch, Rage stopped momentarily as a bright blue and white motorcycle caught his eye. "You have to be kidding me...."
He stepped inside, taking a look around. At least now, he could say he was home.

"Better leadership than I'm used to then," he quipped to the red head as Owle started to come back to herself and reassure them. Which of course lasted for about a moment.
Right up until about the point where Owle suddenly acted of apparant severe pain, and outright vanished.
"The hell!? OWLE!?"
Unlike Rage outside somewhere, Kalis had not seen this sort of thing before, and with him the first thought wasn't to magic.
It was just panic.
"Owle? What the hell?" At least he'd stopped shouting, which probably bothered anyone who was not greatly distressed by the woman's sudden screaming and disappearing, booming around in the room. He glanced down, checking for a shape shifted Owle, and then around the room. His left hand clenched and his right rose slightly, a violent twitching motion of almost shutting and starting to open again, wanting to draw the sword that was not on his back as a reflex.
There wasn't any shout from upstairs, so he'd only pace that way in panic, looking for the sword before realization that it wouldn't help as far as he could tell right now, and then he went pointedly for the door.
Assuming no one was trying to restrain the panicking man, he'd be right in front of the door when Rage opened it holding Owle.
When the man entered, the tension pulling his body taut would leave all at once, and he'd go limp, standing there half-gaping and looking dumb for a long moment. Finally, he'd glance up from the unconcious woman to the green haired man holding her and, if he was over blocking the door, finally move aside.

"Owle wha-" Sun blinked in surprised as she disappeared, leaving the distinctive marking. "Calm down, Kalis, she can't have gone far..." He spoke at the panicking man, and then looked back at the marking, before getting up off his stool and getting a better look. The crash of the door opening made him look up from his study, to see Rage carrying Owle, drawing a blank face from Sun, before he laughed, shaking his head and going back to his drink. Now he'd seen just about everything.

"I'm alright, I'm alright!" Owle shouted out to Kalis, the moment Rage opened the door. "Rage, you can put me down...I'm alright."
Once he had done so, she would look at Kalis and Sun, embarrassed...
"I'm sorry...just...things happen."
The marking didn't appear to be anything special, other than its refusal to explain how it had got there. It was rather simple, just an incomplete circle, as if someone had forgotten to extend the line to make it close. If Sun knew anything about the deities worshipped in a realm called Hesket, he might recognize it as one of the many, many symbols of Kintaka, god of mischief and luck.
"Anyway..." She lifted the arm with the glowing bracelet, holding it up for all to see. "Rafe used this, once, to teleport me here, to the Firebrand. I wonder..."
She trailed off, bringing her eyes from the bracelet back to Sun. "Well, maybe we could use it to get where we need to be."

Kalis for his part, had gone from pale to red, and just stood quietly aside, looking away from people.
"Magic..." me mumbled, not happily.
This was all the more reason not to be fond of it. He wouldn't have identified a little thing on the ground as having any relation with Owle suddenly tensing in pain and vanishing, only that that sort of thing was magic. To him, tensing in pain or disappearance without sign meant magic that wasn't on your side, though it rarely seemed to be on his side. And he preferred it just not be there to it being on his side, though it was better than the other alternative.
For all he'd known, some crazy mage had disintigrated Owle. Or something. Knowledge of this sort was not his forte.
He just walked away, slumping against a wall, and trying to avoid eye contact until he could shrug off the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, and his emberassment at worrying about that sort of dire thing just to have her march in the door a moment later.
Sort of.
