Ranu crossed his arms and frowned, his weight on his left leg as he looked at her. "We're both old enough to know our wishes, and you were, and still are, mine." He knelt down, sash over his shoulder, looking at her. "I regret nothing," he whispered, "Why must you?" He shrugged, then leaned to kiss her.

Storm leaned away from Ranu.
"You, old enough to know your wishes? You are bearly a man, by human standards. If you were anything else, you'd still be a babe in dipers."
She cocked an eyebrow.
"What do you mean 'yous'?"

Ranu lent back feeling foolish but showed none of it on his face. "Actually, to humans I passed into adulthood at 16. And by mine, I mean my desire, Storm." Ranu said standing and tying his sash back around his waist.

Storm frowned.
"Two years is not so long a time, my dear."

Ranu shrugged, checking his not critically, "Regreat it if yu must, my lady, but know this. I never will." He slid his hat on his head and walked past her, "Good day."

Storm graced Ranu with a smile, that he couldn't see.
"Sweet water and light laughter 'till we meet again, Ranu."
She sat back, cooliong her heels and licked her lower lip, remembering.

Ranu nodded to himself with a laugh at the words, feeling himself twitch. He drew the dagger from his boot and touched it tenderly, smiling. After a moment, he muttered to it, then vanished.

[Was that wrong? Should Storm not have done that?]
Storm let her smile drop, finally, and stood.
"It's about time that boy left."
She drew a small, fine tipped stick from a sleeve and dipped it in the black ink coming from a small pot that surfaced from a pouch. Quickly, before the ink had time to try, she sketched out large, block like runes all along the deck and lower ends of the masts.
Hours later, whence she had finished, Storm pocketed her stick and ink and summoded a shimery, multi-coloured gate. With a last look over her shoulder, she stepped through. The gate snapped shut behind her, as soon as Storm was clear.
Two minuets later, the Dagger exploded in a mass of lightining, fire, and red engery. The explosion was so complete that the largest peice of the ship was no larger then Storm's pinky nail.
She watched passivly a made sure that the destruction destroyed the dagger thoroghly from a safe distance, bobbing along noramlly in a tiny rowboat. Seeing her handi work completed, Storm numbly summoned another gate and took herself to shore.

[Well, I'd sort of assumed that there would be a light of some sort in ship heaven. How was I supposed to know otherwise?]
