Edward Chitan, True Metal

Edward raised an eyebrow as she laughed at his words. He he couldn't say he liked the attitude any more then the previous staring. She mentioned hell then, as he had said before, and introduced herself as none-other then a demon. Edward just stared at her unimpressed. "Pull the other one..." She appeared nothing more then a little girl with goat horns, carrying a scythe upon her shoulder with an apparently carefree nature, despite the grimness of the weapon. It seemed a rather silly thing, calling herself a demon. None-the-less, some strange weather was happening as the sky would darken unnaturally, and the the plants around them seem to go from a garden of flowers to dead, thorny things. It was hard not to admit that she seemed the source of all it. There had to be more to her then met the eye. Still she was still a little girl. She couldn't be that strong, right? "You are looking at none other then Edward, the True Metal." He kept his hand to his sword, even as they talked. With her change he mood, she had to be up to something. He wasn't certain of her abilities, but given that she appeared to cause these changes, it was best to avoid letting her get close until he knew what he was dealing with.
"Alright then, little miss "Devil", what exactly rings you to a crappy little ray of sunshine like this place?"

Teufel merely tilted her head slightly as Edward seemed to laugh off her claim. He wasn't the first to do so, nor would he be the last. That was fine, he would learn the truth sooner or later. Whether through might of arms or through some other avenue. Simply because she was strong, she felt no desire to prove it. No, to her, it would be a far greater coup if she could somehow tempt him into choosing to become corrupted. After all, enslaving somebody was rather gauche and unoriginal. Really, even humans did it on a fairly regularly basis. No, there was no art in that, nothing to brag about. But making a human agree to a deal that held benefits for only herself, all the while convinced it would give them everything they had ever wanted? Now that would be something worthwhile. But how best to guide the conversation toward what might work on such an arrogant young man> Perhaps...

"Ah, you're the True Metal? We've heard of your exploits, even as far from here as my own lands. You've done a remarkable job with what you're limited to." She made a show of shrugging and sighing, truly seeming to commiserate with his limits, whatever they might be. "It's only a shame you don't have access to your true potential. Limited to only a few decades before age exerts its cruel grip upon you..." She shook her head, putting on the appearance of being genuinely discouraged by such a state.

"But I forget to answer your question! I find myself in this... detestable expanse of untainted life, because I had heard rumor of a strong wielder of the sword making this their home. I came to see if the rumors were true. But now I found another notable name as well!" Even though her words seemed genteel enough, the gradual changes continued unabated, the plant life around her withering and warping. Not truly dying, but instead becoming something twisted and unnatural. The wind that blew seemed unusually warm, and tinged with a faint hint of sulfur. More and more, the area around them was becoming something unwholesome and tainted. This was more than mere circumstance, there seemed no other possibility but that it was Teufel's doing.

Edward Chitan, True Metal

Edward could detect the corruption in the air. The sky above them had darkened. The flowers around them had grown dark and twisted as well. How and why they became that way, one couldn't be certain. However, one could certain see she was the source of it by now. The air had gained movement and heat, with the scent of brimstone arriving to the nose. One could almost say evil itself had become palpable in the air. Ultimately it was harder and harder to deny that this girl was something dark, if not "demonic" in nature. However Edward would still take some convincing before calling her a devil. Regardless, it became clear he had to keep his senses aware.
He raised an eyebrow then, as she mentioned knowing of him. How much could she really know of him, and at that, what sort of exploits was she refering to. As much of an ego he had, he could recognized when someone was attempting to manipulate him. He was a 12 year old. He had a lot of potential, he knew. He had shown himself worthy of being a chunin at a young age. However, he had yet to defeat a great foe of the village, or complete a high enough level mission to gain fame, or have any exploits... at least ones that anyone would be aware of. He wasn't an idiot. He had yet to truly make a name for himself.
"Oh, and just what would a devil such as yourself have heard of me, miss Devil?" She would make an unsincere sigh, as she mentioned the limit that came with aging. That did draw his attention. He was aware that in time, even someone with his great strength would weaken. Time did destroy all things, even as it creates. Truth was, he was aware he couldn't fully trust a word she said now, from the moment she complimented as she did. "If only there were a way to defy the body's limits. Unless perhaps you are aware of such away." Rather then wait for her to slowly elaborate on whatever she had to bring forth, he thought he'd move it towards the point that she had, whatever it was, hidden beneath feigned interest in him. He didn't take his guard down, not completely anyway, but he was ready to listen to what she had to say. Yet, he wouldn't allow himself to be swayed in a simple fashion.

Teufel seemed oblivious to the changes that she was enacting on the area; save that she seemed a little more at ease now than she had been a few moments before. And why not? The riotous clash of bright colors had almost completely disappeared, replaced by various shades of brown, black and gray. The scent of brimstone and sulfur was growing stronger, and the wind had become a solid wave of humid warmth. It hadn't yet come to the point of truly uncomfortable, but it was decidedly unseasonable.

"I daresay I know more than most. You becoming a Jounin, esteemed among your peers as you survive a grueling tournament of death. Finally taking your place as leader of a mighty nation, with all it's power at your beck and call. Facing those you once called friends, as they betray you in favor of another." Teufel spoke emphatically, as if she had truly seen these happenings. But then she took a closer look at Edward, and blinked at what she saw. "Hmm, none of that happened yet, did it? Just forget I mentioned that..." She laughed it off, but she seemed a bit rattled at what she had said. None of what she said was true, simply because it had yet to occur. Would it actually happen as she had predicted? Or was she merely guessing? Demons and Devils weren't specifically known for predicting the future, so much as shaping it to meet their own ends. Did that mean that what she had said would actually come to pass?

"Of course there's a way. Devils such as I live until we're killed, old age only makes us stronger. I can give that gift to you, if you think you can handle it." That much was true, she could live to be several hundred years old, and she would only be stronger than she was now. She knew that she would not die for some time yet, and it would almost certainly be a violent death. Such was the fate of Devils, sometimes they paid for their manipulations, paid the ultimate price. She had no intention of being one such, but it could happen anyways. For now, however, she was making a genuine offer. She would give that boon to Edward if he wished. After all, with that power at his aid, it would only be more likely that he might fulfill that prophecy she had made just a moment before.

Edward Chitan, True Metal

Edward too had to admit that he much more preferred the current environment. Much better then the bright sunny field of pretty flowers. The air had warmed up quite a bit, and almost reminded him of being at the base of a volcano. Of course, with these changes, it was inevitable the ninja of the village, who valued these flowers so. Eyes were upon the both of them, seen and unseen, particularly upon this goat girl who called herself a demon. Edward would watch the girl as well as she spoke, portraying for him a future of talent and potential, one where he could achieve all that he truly dreamed of, even if allies would attempt to betray him. He recognized full well the risks that one took when one sought power. it was quite a prediction, one that he sought to come true. But the question that remained, was there anything to it. Was it a prediction, or just the strange whims of a strange, horned little girl. And even if it was a prediction, did it have any merit. Would it come true, and was it only a possibility, as opposed to fate itself. there were so many questions to be asked. But there was something even more immediate that came forth. The little demon girl would make an offer to him, which would have her grant him an ageless state, that only grew stronger with time. In doing so, she implied that she could turn him into a devil.
His face shifted into a looks of caution and scrutiny. "That is quite an offer you make oh miss demoness. But what, may I ask, is the catch. And why make such an offer to me. What would you gain from doing so. After all, devils never do anything that isn't in their own interest, or so I heard." Edward knew very well, if such a deal was real, it would never come free. If something seemed to good to be true, it usually wasn't. And if it was, there were almost always strings attached. Of course the situation wasn't helped by the many ninja and peopel watching them. None had attacked yet, but with the "damage" being done to their home, he doubted they would take it too kindly.

User ImageThe familiar buzz of insects filled the air as Reiko lounged in the field of flowers, the insects formed a noticeable pocket where she was lying down, attracted to her prone, napping form as though she were some great flower. Reiko was visiting from the Leaf Village on a mission to train herself by finding some new types of insects in other nations after all she needed no other jutsus than those of her clan and village. Anything else was lost on her as she sat napping peacefully, more than a few bugs crawling around on her as she basked in the sun. Hopefully nobody would mistake her for a corpse. Reiko was dressed in the standard grays and blacks of her Clan, the shades over her eyes helped but how she was not at liberty to say. Anyone who was familiar with the Aburame clan would be able to recognize the outfit.

Edward sighed, turning from the demon and walking off. He wasn't really sure about whatever deal it was she was offering and needed some time to think this all over. He walked from the area covered in dark flowers. He would continue exploring the village, checking over the less building and path strewn areas, finding an uninterrupted field of flowers. There was a strange dark spot in the sea of colors. He looked more closely as he realized this spot was shifting and moving, and was in fact a patch of gathered insects. He would draw closer looking in confusion, at the little girl who sat there, clad all in gray and black, surrounded back a swarm of insects. Was it that she was dead and it was just the bugs starting to decompose her. He doubted that Was the case as he looked closer. There was no sign of decay and her flesh hadn't become pale of visibly stiff. He had no personal knowledge of the aburame clan as they were held with rumor and legend even among some in the leaf. He would kneel down, keeping himself far enough from the bugs. "Hey, miss Sunglasses, you still breathing there?"

User ImageReiko would arouse when Edward approached but didn't shift positions it seemed like he was staying outside of the cloud of insects that had gathered around her, wise, they'd have likely swarmed him in order to protect her from the potential invader. And so she would lay there though as she awoke there would seem to be a wave that passed through the insects and they seemed to organize themselves and moved in a single direction ever circling her. In response to his question Reiko would hook a finger into the piece of cloth that covered her mouth and pull it down revealing her feminine lower face and neck.opening her mouth, she would hold it agape until finally a butterfly emerged from her mouth and flitted off to land upon a nearby flower. Coughing slightly from a dry throat, "Aye..." Reiko would finally say to Edward whom she looked upon with dull recognition through her sunglasses. At first glance his appearance was unremarkable; Short hair and soft features, almost like a girl but the voice was male and upon close inspection there were lines and strength to the face that suggested male attributes. She sat there in silence propping herself up with one arm, the other gently shooing the insect on her off the largest of which was a praying Mantis on her thigh, which initially seemed wary of her before it edged it's way onto her open hand swaying back and forth as it did so. once firmly in the cup of her hand Reiko guide it to a small large leafed plant the made roost amidst the flowers and the Mantis would depart from her hand. Clear of insects she would turn her attentions back to Edward and putting weight on the back arm scoot herself into an upright position crossing her legs and staring at him. On her right arm it would suddenly flash with metal, and glaring in the sun was a headband for the Hidden Leaf Village. It seemed the girl was a ninja and the fact that she was handling bugs like pesky children only spoke to her potential abilities... and a field of flowers would be a bug master's paradise. Then again he wasn't in any danger, it's not like he was attacking her or anything.

Edward didn't see her move at first, simply watching the insects move about this way and that. But she seemed to stir then, and soon her stiring sent a stir through the bugs that were around her, causing them to all move in a circular path around her. It was as if the bugs were all interconnected with one another and perhaps with her. His curiosity shifted from the insects now to the girl, as she pulled at her clothing slightly to reveal her mouth. His eyes grew wide, as upon opening it, she released a living butterfly, whcih flew to a nearby flower. He could tell quite readily now that she was a young girl, not that her clothing made it easy. With a small coughing fit, she finally confirmed her being alive with a simple response. She gazed up at him with eyes hidden by the glasses she wore, but it felt like she was scanning him. He returned the favor to the blue haired girl as she leaned up, taking note of what features he could, as well as the ease with which she dealt with the bugs and crawled and flew about and over her. She took a moment to draw a praying mantis to her and place it on another plant. This confirmed it, that she held some strange connection to multiple types of insects, if not all bugs. She finally sat up completely, her headband revealed on her arm from the movement.
So this weirdo's a leaf ninja then... He was aware enough of the hidden leaf village, but had never been there, or most other places, to be fair, himself. The ability she displayed to tame the bugs might of impressed most. However, Edward wasn't such a person. He felt no reason to fear insects, even green swarms. And even more clearly, he held no fear of little girls. His silver, green, and white robes ruffled in the wind, made of a unique metal polymer that seemed like nothing but cloth to sight and even touch. However, it's strength more resembled metal armor, yet maintained the appropriate flexibility of robing. Set around his neck, his own headband could be seen. It was that of hidden steel, an equally proud village, if not equally as large or prosperous, as that of the leaf. In time, though, it would truly become well-known. Edward intended to make that the case. Upon his back, the large Imperial broadsword could be seen, nearly as large as Edward himself, yet he carried it with relative ease. "Alright, bug girl, what's a leaf ninja doing out in this flowery little place?"

User ImageAs Reiko stared at him he seemed less and less interesting he wasn't saying much and what little he did say was boring her. though she would answer the question. "Taking a nap." It was answered in a dull monotone as the occasional insect would land on Edward unbidden by Reiko who would glance around as if noticing the cloud of insects for the first time. "Run along... bugs..." as if on her command the sphere of insects would disperse in all directions, some going no farther than Edward, actually a lot of them went to Edward... his bright color clothing acting like some huge sign that he was a flower. Reiko: Reiko stared at him blankly not really moving or showing any care that he was being swarmed by insects. "Bugs... leave..." She's say half distractedly like she wasn't all the way awake yet or remarkably uninterested in the proceedings. It was more of a mix of both, she found this all to be rather boring and beyond that the man wasn't really that interesting to her. Sure he might of been strong but that was unremarkable in the ninja world, plus even if he was threatening it would have no effect on the rather robotic Mushihime. However on the command of 'Bugs Leave' the Insects on Edward would do just that Scatter from him and flit off into the flowers like they had never even bothered to land. Surely Edward would continue to feel her eyes peering at him through the sunglasses as she sat there lazily.

Edward frowned at her. Not really finding her all that interesting, so much as weird. She gave a dull, simple answer in an equally dull, unchanging voice. Edward frowned as he glanced to the bugs moving from her to him. He raised a hand, lightly swiping them away. He didn't have much of an entomological interest, more finding insects annoying then anything. His gaze shifted back to Reiko as she seemed to just be glancing around, like she somehow didn't notice that cloud of insects that had enveloped her. She told the bugs to leave in so many words. The insects, having partially formed a sphere apparently, would suddenly move out every which way. This suited him just fine, until he realized that some of them seemed rather attracted to him. he stepped back from her as the bugs crawled and flew to latch onto him.
He gasped, yelling out "What the hell?!!! Get away you little bastards" He swiped out at the bugs as they moved at him, trying to keep them away from him, not really caring whether he hurt them as he sweeped them from his robes with one hand, his other hand moving to grab his sword. He was about to draw it. Perhaps he intended to swing it down and set the area ablaze. However, there was no chance nor need to do so. The girl spoke in her uninterested voice and with a simple phase all the insects that were bothering him suddenly flew and crawled away, embedding themselves in the surrounding vegetation. Edward was breathing a little more heavily, more so with anger and agitation then fear or being shaken. He could still tell she was looking at him. However, he couldn't quite tell what sort of look she was giving him. "What are you looking at? Have you got a problem or something?" Edward Asked out of anger audible in his voice. A part of him wanted to attack the girl right now for that little bug up. He was able to keep his head enough to question that action for the moment and hold back. It might be a bad idea, after all, to just attack someone randomly in the middle of the village. He had already dealt with a "demon" who corrupted the flowers that the village prided itself in, which he was certain the locals didn't really appreciate. It might overstay his welcome to start a fight here. But, oh he did desire to knock those glasses right of the girl's bored face.

User ImageReiko would giggle at Edward as he panicked over the insects swarming him and he seemed to take offense to it. "I'm looking at you... because you woke me up." it was quite true that Edward brought this onto himself. However his tone seemed to be waking her up and Reiko would stand and remove her hood and rather comically a pair of hair antennas would wobble up having been pressed down by the hoodie. In the sunlight her hair was not blue but veridian in color, then again veridian was a blue-green color so he wasn't far off. With a yawn she seemed to the remove the fatigue from her limbs, and griping her sunglasses she would remove them and rub her eye their appearance still a mystery until she blinked them open revealing large glistening Veridian Irises. She would giggle at Edward again and smile looking exceptionally cute. {b]"You can calm down big guy. My name is Reiko Aburame, I'm a Chunin from the Leaf Village and I'm doing research on the bugs in the various regions looking for anything special that I can use." She would say before putting the sun glasses back on. Truth was her eyes and skin were sensitive to the sun like most Aburame's were which was why they wore such clothing, though it was also to conceal the places where bugs would enter and exit their bodies. "That said Who're you and what's your business here in our neighboring village eh?" it was quite true Nano was next to Leaf and had amicable relations with them the Aburame's taking enjoyment in their fields of flowers that held a rich variety of insect life. Reiko's Trip was currently taken with the idea of finding insects for all environments from the driest desert to the coldest tundra she would find or even create insects that could survive these types of weather. Staring at his headband she would attach the symbol to the village. He wasn't a Ninja of the big five so there was more of a chance that this guy would be someone highly trained, after all smaller villages had few ninjas so one traveling alone meant they had faith in their abilities... or wouldn't care if they died... one or the other. Either way though it meant that the village had nothing to worry about in the long run. However she seemed to be stuck with his irate attentions, and it remained to be seen as to how he would respond to her he seemed quite unhappy that the insects had bothered him like that then again that wasn't really her fault though he seemed to think so. How bothersome it was when first impressions didn't go well. Then again he didn't seem to know that she was an Aburame so it was likely that he'd never been to the leaf... or that he'd not paid any attention when he went. Any way you looked at it the Ball was in Edwards court now, what would he do with it though?

Edward Chitan, True Metal

Edward's anger wasn't helped by her laughing. She answered the question in such a way as well, that made him sound stupid. And he certainly wasn't. He was arrogant, and had a bad temper, but he certainly wasn't dumb. Indeed, he might have brought it on himself from getting too close. None the less, that didn't stop him from blaming the girl for it. His anger, however, was quickly overcome by surprise as the girl let her hood fall. Firstly, her hair was an even stranger color then blue, but instead was a viridian. Not that Edward was familiar with the particular intricacies of colors. After all, it wasn't like he took art classes or had an encyclopedia or the internet to look up the specific names up of specific colors. What he saw was a mix of green and blue. Of course, despite her weird hair, his hair was also pretty odd in color, being a clear silver. It wasn't grey as it had a shine to it that made it brighter like the metal itself. Of course, even stranger then this, was the two objects that flopped up as her hood flopped down. Green-blue hair... and now antenna... oh yeah, definitely a weirdo.
She would wake herself more fully, removing her sunglasses and revealing that her eyes were the same color as her hair. "What are you, a giant bug?" The girl would laugh lightly again, and introduce herself. He could tell she was from the leaf village already, but hadn't known she was a chunin as well. He was also unaware of the Aburame, of course, having never been to the leaf. But at least he knew she was buggy. Apparently she had come here entirely in the search for "useful bugs" something that Edward didn't feel had much merit, personally. He thought of most insects as little squirmy things that were just pests or annoyances that got in the way. Not that he wasn't aware of them being useful in nature, more so he ignored their need in the food chain and for pollinating or detrivorous activities. He just chose to ignore that, looking only at their tendency to get in the way and their being small and weak. He could see the girl's skin was rather pale. That did make sense, given how covered up she kept herself. Of course, he wasn't very aware of the sensitivity common among the Aburame.
Soon enough, though, she asked him who he was. In being asked his name, he actually smiled a bit. "Me...why I am Edward Chitan, proud member of Hidden Steel. I am known as "True Metal", and it is only a matter of time, before I am one of the best out there." Moving on from his introduction, he next gave her the reason for him being there. "I've come here seeking the magnetic jutsu that was born here, from one of three legendary brothers." Intentionally, or unintentionally, he had just revealed himself to be a shinobi that could sue magnet style. It was a kekkei genkai most known in hidden Sand and hidden cloud. It was still a feared art in the places it had been heard of. His anger for the moment, had been dissipated for the time being. It was true that both he and his village were confident in their abilities, him in particular. Then again, a village the size of the leave could afford to have less then the best ninja, it had so many ninja that it would always have the elite among it's ranks. A smaller village like hidden steel, or even that of hidden craftsman, where he was technically born, would need the best possible to represent them and perform their missions. "You wouldn't happen to know what I'm talking about would you, bug girl?" Once against he was hardly the most polite or respectful person to others.

User ImageReiko would listen to the man and learn his name was Edward, "Weird name..." she would mutter quietly while he spoke. Eventually he would speak about some boring magnetism jutsus made by someone here in Nano which was boring and not interesting at all. But then he would ask her if she knew about that. "I know about that." She'd say blandly, after all she just listened to the windbag rattle on about it so obviously she would know. However she really did know about it, being a ninja it was part of her obligation to the craft to know about these things so that she may counter them if need be. Though since he was from the land of steel... the insects there were of interest to her. By gathering insects from a village where there are ninjas with magnet powers she could potentially find insects that mimicked the ability by consuming the flesh of their dead. However he had called her bug girl instead of using her name which she had readily provided so... "Magnetism is a force of attraction or replusion that acts at a distance. It is due to a magnetic field, which is caused by moving electrically charged particles. It is also inherent in magnetic objects such as a magnet. A magnet is an object that exhibits a strong magnetic field and will attract materials like iron to it. Magnets have two poles, called the north and south poles. Two magnets will be attacted by their opposite poles, and each will repel the like pole of the other magnet. A magnetic field consists of imaginary lines of flux coming from moving or spinning electrically charged particles. Examples include the spin of a proton and the motion of electrons through a wire in an electric circuit. The lines of magnetic flux flow from one end of the object to the other. By convention, we call one end of a magnetic object the N or North-seeking pole and the other the S or South-seeking pole, as related to the planet's North and South magnetic poles. The magnetic flux is defined as moving from N to S. Although individual particles such as electrons can have magnetic fields, larger objects such as a piece of iron can also have a magnetic field, as a sum of the fields of its particles. If a larger object exhibits a sufficiently great magnetic field, it is called a magnet. The magnetic field of an object can create a magnetic force on other objects with magnetic fields. That force is what we call magnetism. When a magnetic field is applied to a moving electric charge, such as a moving proton or the electrical current in a wire, the force on the charge is called a Lorentz force." She would drone out the literal textbook explanation of the magnetic principle in order to mock his arrogance without taking so much as a breath. "In Summary Magnetism is a force that acts at a distance and is caused by a magnetic field. The magnetic force strongly attracts an opposite pole of another magnet and repels a like pole. The magnetic field is both similar and different than an electric field... Bucket Head." She ended the explanation with an insult of her own since his head was shiny like metal then it must have been a bucket. For the rather arrogant Edward this was likely a rather critical insult since his pride wouldn't stand for any type of affront to himself much less his appearance. Reiko's Antenna would bob as is they had a mind of her own as she spoke looking rather cute.

Edward Chitan, True Metal

Edward looked to her, a little more interested as the girl said she did. He frowned then as her answer was that of the textbook definition of Magnetism. He scrowled at her finishing nickname. "I was asking about where I could find the jutsu, Frog Food!" He crossed his arms, visibly heated. He closed his eyes, turning from her. "Fine then, if you aren't going to help me, I'll go find it myself." He did just that, walking away from her. He would head into the village and search far and wide for a sign of the jutsu. It would take a couple of hours to do so, but he would find it, and memorize it, intent to train with it and the techniques that came from it. He made his way back towards the gates, intent to leave the village. Little did he know, he was being followed. ((exit))
