A.R.G.U.S Mykal MekboyUrishima Dont play panzees. I fight them. Now they re absolutely filthy, and I dspise them. The fact that they ACTUALLY made harlequins better is justplain hilarious though biggrin Pansies?
For variety, Eldar piss all over Death Guard. At least they have functional Fast Attack choices, and aren't limited.
Try and move a Death Guard force up a table, while the Eldar dance about picking your men off.
It's happened to me.
-Mykal Panzee is ork slang for the eldar, just like space marines are beakies, guard aare either 'umies or oomies, necrons are tin 'eads, etc.. he wasn't actually calling them pansies.

Meh it was still a retarded comment. Made harlequins better? Theyre one unit choice now. Though it was never made fully official they had their own codex and army list.

Murg can someone point out some key factors of why eldar rock? if they are anything like dark eldar, you would have to know how to use them really well, (my friend has dark eldar and he's never won a fight) could someone explain usefull tactics of eldar to me or sumthin? Eldar play a lot differently than Dark Eldar in a whole lot of ways. Also I've found with DE, is that only dedicated tourney players have any luck with them. They aren't easy to play, and you really, really need to know what you're doing to be effective with them. As for why Eldar rock? I'm honestly not sure myself, but I'm certainly looking forward to finding out as I just received my box army. I've never really played them before, so it's a test for me. The fact that they ACTUALLY made harlequins better is justplain hilarious though biggrin Actually the Harlequins have been significantly toned down. Giving them rending was something that was done to help round them out, before they were drastically broken. They used to be significantly tougher, a reason they weren't in 3rd Ed(and to a point, 2nd).

Eldar spealize in having elite (and I mean ELITE) units of one aspect of the game, thus the name Aspect Warroirs. Howling Banshees are monsters in combat, with their Banshee masks (strike at Initative 10 on charge) and power weapons. Fire Dragons have melta weapons and melta bomb, used for killing tanks and high toughness troops. Dire Avangers are cheap and can take a pounding, then unleashing shuriken death. Farseers are very psycic and can have warlock body guards. Their tanks are all skimmers and each has its use. To win you must make all the units work together. There are many more units, but that would go on forever.....One tactic is to cast Doom (re-roll wounds) on the closest unit with a Farseer and then attack them with everything. Then do it to the next and so on and so forth.

Oh man, the new eldar stuff has me so excited for it, and I really want a codex, but I have to wait it seems.

i believe the sunrifel can only be used by the swooping hawk exarch. but as of now i have autarch, farseer, avatar, 20 dire avengers , 2 squads of ten guardians with 2 platform, 2 vypers, falcon, fire prism, wave serpent, 3 warwalkers 3 jetbikes, 1 warlock. the new codex i think is great. i was doing chaos but eldar were to tempting after i done spent 500$ for the chaos stressed

This may be brought on by nothing more than my love of the aspect warriors... but pibbles, where the hell are they? Especially with the pretty new models, how is it you've found yourself able to say no to them? The tactical approaches each aspect opens up is almost too good to be true, and when used properly and in perfect harmony, they're nigh unstoppable.

heh dont worry i am buying enuff to switch out my army. like i am most wanting the new swooping hawks i meansky leap and intercept ! but your absolutly right i must redo this list but i want to keep the war walkers they might be a little weak on the armor but they make up the 1337ness in the long range fire power.. i want to see how my autach will do on the feild.. my avatar just rocks in close combat, my buddy tried to take his 15 man templars against him they dint have a chance, but in smaller games points could be a issue with him . most likely i will buy 2 boxes of all the aspects exept dark reapers, there nice but the points stressed .

Well, my Eldar just showed up(box army) and I'm starting to line up my initial force. The boxset has the following so you have an idea of what I'm working with.
1 Autarch 1 Wraithlord, 1 Falcon Grav Tank 10 Dire Avengers 6 Fire Dragons (including Exarch) 6 Howling Banshees (including Exarch) 1 Vyper 10 Guardians 1 Grav Platform
Actually it only has 8 Guardians, it has 10 if you count the 2 with the grav platform.
Aditionally I picked up 7 more Guardians(found two sprues minus a single torso at a hobby shop), 5 Rangers, and I have 3 War Walkers on their way. I know it's not too much, but it's a start.

I'm not a fan of all the aspects, the ones I dislike coming down to Fire Dragons and Swooping Hawks. Don't get me wrong, both are very good units, but I'd rather spend my points elsewhere. My personal favorites have to be Striking Scoropions, followed by the Howling Banshees. With your average Striking Scorpion having three attacks coming in at strength four, topped off with a high initiative, above average weaponskill and a 3+ armor save, they're very solid troops. Howling Banshees carry power weapons, that's basically enough said. Put Doom on a unit they assault, and watch it crumble.
Oh Eldar, can't wait to get my hands on you. ^.^
