The punch caught Mephistophiles square in the jaw, sending him reeling backwards.
"Be careful!" Beelzebub warned angrily. "You're so cavelier! You could have lost us the fight!"
"Me? Cavelier?" Mephistophiles asked innocently, rubbing Faust's jaw. "No... I'm just getting warmed up. Too bad Lucifer's busy, though... we could have already won. OK! My turn." Mephisto spread his arms, and a strange darkness seemed to descend over the forest. The air was thick and felt like, if you held a match to it, it would ignite. Or would, if it weren't for the apparent lack of oxygen.
((RPer's note: In case anyone's lost/confused/unsure what's transpired, I'll provide some background concerning the Faust/Mephistophiles/Beelzebub pact. The original Faust made a deal, not with the Devil himself, but with a lesser devil named Mephistophiles. The play opens with God and The Devil fighting over Faust's soul, and Mephistophiles volunteers to try and secure it for The Devil.
So, in our roleplay, Faust has been possessed by Mephistophiles (who the original Faust originally summoned), who has summoned Beelzebub (Satan's second-in-command) to fight Hao. The fatal flaw in this dream team is that the strain might be too much for Faust, and that the devil's are still basically evil and aren't taking the match too seriously. That's the flaw that Hao should exploit if he wants to win.))

(((sry I wasn't on in a while. I went away with Tauros, after all she is my sister)))Naosuke had fallen On the ground after running in the 1 direction with Katsuya for almost a day straight. ( Naosuke is pretty dumb out of battle) ( Katsuya just goes along with Naosuke)He immeadiatly fell asleep. A dark prescence was haunting his dream . The presence was stronger than any other thing he's ever felt. It made him feel horrible. Even during his sleep he could feel the energy being taken from him and given to a deathly thing, amazingly strong, but pure evil. (in case u couldn't realize , that force is Mephistophiles and Beelzebub)

Katsuya sat by Naosuke on a stump not very tired because he made his oversoul do all the work getting there. he started to feel a dark precense nearby he focused hard on it to get the details Hao, and something worse, close to the devil he suddenly got a major migrain "argghhh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" he screamed because of the pain caused this must be a powerful force he thought right before he balcked out.

Mephistophiles raised his (Faust's) eyebrow appraisingly. "More souls?"
Beelzebub was also impressed. "Hm... never would have guessed... why are we fighting you?"
"We're fighting because I made a promise," explained Mephisto, although he sounded like he regretted it. "If Hao wants to destroy all humans, then that would kind of ensure that Faust's friends get hurt, wouldn't it?"
"True, but he'll be a shade just like the rest."
"Shades are the worst! They'll hold you to promises like nothing else! The only other thing with that holding power is an orphan's curse! Besides, right now it's just one soul we're after. I've started a collection of Fausts, you know."
"Collection... feh... " Beelzebub snorted. "If we wanted a soul worth fighting for, I'd say that Hao's is a good one. So there's our reason to fight you!" He crowed triumphantly, taking the form of a bull and charging Hao.

*Hao tried to dodge, but got hit on the arm*"I wouldn't harm Faust's friends! They are shamen..I'm trying to rid the world of NORMAL humans...The ones who have no shamonic abilities! Certainly we can make a deal here..."*He would try a different tactic if this didn't work*
