Hey. Um... I'm new. So hi!
I'm Serenyty (not real name) and I play clarinet in my school band, in the pep band, and in a full orchestra.
I'm in 9th grade, and have been playing the clarinet since 4th grade.
I don't know why, but I got bumped to 2nd clarinet. I have no clue why, considering that the other clarinet players are... a bit shaky. It was almost at random, though.

At my school we have roughly over 1000 students and our concert band consists of only 26 people. We only have four clarinet players and only two who show up on a regular basis (one of them being myself).

dang, in ONE BAND? We only have 14 in one class, there's like 20something in the lower one and 15 ish in the one above us...
Yeah, getting bumped down sucks. I was 1st and then our director decided to do hearings halfway through the year and now I'm 4th. Still playing Clarinet 1, but I'm the last one playing it.

I'm sorry, I dont mean to sound like an a*****e. I am really exited to think that somday maybe I coud go to state. I am only in the seventh grade now you know but I hope for big things. Dose anyone know anything abot the bass clarinet?

Yeah. Well, there are more in the advanced band (that sadly I couldn't be in this year), and I'm probably getting in. Clarinets are needed at my school...

Dose anyone know anything abot the bass clarinet? Yep! Bass Clarinets are big and bassass! And they take alot more air then a regular clarinet... but it's the same fingering. Or so I have been told... I've never touched a Clarinet before... only a bass. heart

When I took private lessons (now I have no time, and they were expensive) my teacher always complimented me on my tone. I think it's very good. I got a very nice clarinet last year (this is my 6th year playing it), and it was the nicest clarinet that didn't cost too much. I love it. It's beautiful wood, and it sounds great.
