Relief flowed through him as he spotted Lydia's enthusiastic wave, Arorangi weaving around people to get to where she and Oliver were. Once he'd reached them, he didn't hesitate to wrap both of his large arms around the pair of them, scooping them up into a tight bear hug against his massive chest.
(He also may have accidentally poked them with the spear still carried in his left hand.)
"I am so glad you are safe!" Arorangi said, releasing them after a moment. "You had me worried there! But we have made it and we are all three of us safe, let us go and see how we can help! It looks as though they are working on something, let us go and see."
He took ahold of Lydia's hand and gently but firmly nudged Oliver in front of him until they were all at the place they needed; and then Arorangi knelt down, fiddling with the runes and the 3-prong object with a look of great concentration on his face.

Meep. That was bound to hurt a lot. "Nellie's so sorry! Please forgive Nellie! " She pulled back her arm quickly as soon as the blow connected with Zascha's jaw, a worried look on her face as she hoped that that would be enough to knock him out cold. But alas it wasn't quite sufficient yet and she got up fully to aim a half hearted kick to his side to try to get him to stay down. "Just stay down already! Nellie doesn't want to hurt you anymore. Please!"HP: 34/40 Target: Zascha Damage: 1 Charge: 3/3

Ian gave a small nod, his eyes moving around the rooms, from face to face, as though maybe he could see what was happening without subjecting himself to the pain that followed. But as usual, the chaos nearly overwhelmed him - his throat throbbed, as though a constant reminder of what he didn't want to happen, and gritting his teeth, Ian followed along behind Shiloh, determined not to let himself drown again.
The runes were in front of them and Shiloh was already trying to figure out what to do with them, a look of concentration on his face. Ian desummoned Naomi for the time being - he'd need both of his hands for this - and picked up the two parts, frowning slightly.
"I think...somehow we're supposed to fit these together, though I'm not sure how; we've got to do something, everything's gone to hell in a handbasket here."
He pushed at the pronged instrument, trying to figure out if he was even sort of in the right direction.

For long seconds Peyton stayed glued to her Moon-partner and just breathed deeply, calming frazzled nerves, and let her reassurances sink in. She hadn't hurt America. She hadn't hurt anyone else. Of course, on the tail of that thought, another name surfaced, and Peyton sat bolt upright, head jerking around to search the room for a familiar tall figure, brown hair, almond eyes. "Noah?!" He wasn't there. She had to go find him, she had to make sure he was alright. Scrambling to her feet, she got as far as two steps away from America before pausing to offer a hand down to the Moon hunter. "Did you see him?" Peyton was itching to get back out the door to find him.

-- KOSTYA IS AFFLICTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS -- Vengeance flared within him like a molten apocalypse, searing his veins and blinding him to all but those who had wronged him. But one was merely the accessory to such traitorous ways. Kostya snarled, reeling back and firing at Robert. Mimsy laid prone near him, and Kostya wanted, needed, and listed for revenge. hp// 25 dmg// 3 target// robert charge// 3/3 Quote: He can't recognize friend from foe, and everyone to him looks terrifying. There is no hunger however, just paranoia, an extreme case of it. He has half his HP and can attack as per usual. If he does more than 10 damage in a single turn, anyone surrounding him also contracts that paranoia (can't tell friend from foe/ everyone looks like a terrifying enemy), at half health. If anyone with the virus reaches 0 HP, they can be KO'ed to be treated the same way. Anyone who contracts the virus also spreads it by dealing more than 10 damage in a single turn.Anyone with this strain of virus should post that they have the paranoia virus in bold goldenrod + in ooc below list its effects! This virus cannot overlap with the existing one. Quote: The desire for vengeance triggers something dormant in Kostya. There is a line of power he can tap into, alive and waiting for him. But it is stronger than he is, and he is not yet a vessel that can easily use it at will. Quote: If Kostya chooses to use Vengeance, his pupils will blacken and his nose start to bleed. 1st attack: add 5 dmg to your roll hit or miss 2nd attack: add 10 dmg to your roll hit or miss 3rd attack: he passes out before he manages it

Tuck heard Heidi's voice. He heard her, but he didn't acknowledge it. Stormy wasn't given the time of ******** day. When Evan touched his shoulder, he reflexively jerked it away before turning to face the other man. His face was ugly, twisted up. " Don't." Tuck summoned Herryk and turned his eyes on Stormy for just a moment before moving to Heidi, then back to ********' don't. I ain't got nothin' to say to you right now. Ain't got nothin' to say to her neither," he pointed Herryk towards Stormy. "Ain't the ********' time. We got s**t to do. Ain't the ********' time. Might not never be a time. So just <********' don't." With that, he moved away, fully intending to work on herding infected into the disinfecting room. "Heidi. You ********' comin' or what?"

The embrace had been so brief that Alistaire had hardly had time to react to it, barely had time to register that this was happening in public, before Harland had gone off again; and in the few moments in between him being dragged off the first time, and the embrace, and him going off the second time, Alistaire thought he had quite enough moments of panic to be going off of.
Harland's voice came from somewhere close by and he spun around with a small, sharp intake of breath. Alistaire felt as though his veins were liquid ice, his fingers trembling violently, the daggers clicking against the chains that bound them together.
"You - " he said, and the rest of his sentence died in his throat. He struggled to figure something out, and then wordlessly reached out and dragged Harland towards him, for the first time not caring if anyone was watching (no one was, so it didn't matter), burying his face against Harland's neck just as Harland had done to him a moment before.
"You ******** idiot," Alistaire snarled through clenched teeth, but he could feel Harland's warmth radiating over him, and some of the trembling seemed to subside, just a little. He let go and stepped back, moving around Harland to where the antidotes were being made. The daggers were looped around his neck, dangling on either side by their chain so that Alistaire could have his still-shaking hands free.
"Come on, come on," he muttered, half to himself, half to Harland.face your demons arrghh sorry there were so many quote notices from everywhere that I must have missed some of them sorry @@

Haruko was left, her chain curled around his feet and he shuffled closer to Ian as he worked, for the comfort their nearness provided but also because he was worried, not only about their predicament, but about Ian. His shoulder gently bumped against Ian's as he reached for another piece but when he tried to follow Ian's advice, nothing happened. The pieces simply didn't fit no matter how he tried to put them together and Shiloh glanced at Ian, unsure. "Am I doing something wrong? I don't think there is any logical way this could possibly fit together... They are like puzzle pieces, kind of, huh..." He studied the pieces in his hand, and the parts that had to fit together. They really were like puzzle pieces, if he thought about it, but when things were crashing down around them and time was of the essence, Shiloh was in no mood for games. "s**t," he said under his breath. "It's always like this, isn't it. Finding a matching piece will be like finding a needle in a haystack." Then, quickly composing himself in front of Ian, he bit his lip, setting his pieces down. "I'll just have to try again, there's no choice. I'm sure we can do it! It'll be okay..." Old habits died hard.

SASHA HAS THE PARANOIA VIRUSWhatever the creature was saying didn't sound like actual words - but more like slow-motion speaking in lower decibels, which made it sound entirely too horrific. Sasha lashed out again with the reconnected staff, catching her target behind the leg and pulling in an attempt to knock her off her feet. "You should just die," she hissed, lips twisted. Evan recoiled, stunned and hurt and confused, as Tuck snapped at them. "Okay, man. Okay," he said, trying for soothing and holding his hands up as he took a step back. Tuck had to have been shaken up, that's all. It made sense that he'd need space, didn't it? He'd keep an eye on him, but he wouldn't force anything.

"Since he was edging away from you ..."The tone was mild, but the words hit like a blade, digging between her ribs. Peyton stiffened, right hand moving to towards the left to touch the thin band that rested on her ring finger. "I've got to find him." She started moving again, going for the door. Her chest hurt. ********, everything hurt. ******** this place. ******** these missions. ******** whatever twisted deity they had smiling down on their island. zoobey Can they leave the decontamination chamber once they are in their "right mind" again?

Okay, so he was..physically fine. It seemed he was still upset. Heidi couldn't entirely blame him but seriously? She frowned, nodding her head slowly. "Yeah, I'm coming..." An apologetic look was turned back to the others before she stepped up to follow Tuck. For the most part she looked forward but every now and then she glanced up at him. Heidi frowned. "Please don't talk to me like that. I'm sorry if I did something wrong," she said quietly when they were out of earshot of the others. Heidi then shook her head and sighed. "I think we should see if we can make some more of the antivirus, after we round up the rest of the infected, that is.." She cleared her throat, frowning and raising Matilda to be ready. "Just in case, you know?"
