Jomei stared at the boy in the attack stance. He saw how tense he was and a small dab of sweat began to form on his head. He looked back at where he came, then looked at the kids. He then looked at the ground knowing his fault, but he couldnt help coming out at night. He has been coming out ever since his mother died and didnt want to break practice. He looked at the boy and responded to his question with ease and a calm stature. "Well, I was visiting the spot where my mom and I used to play before...." His voice broke as he looked at the ground again holding back the tears that were forming in his eyes. "before she died in duty. I have always been coming out here because it was a way to get away from him." His voice became sharp as he mentioned his father. He looked at both of the shinobi again and smiled.

Rhaim watched the boy shift about in a manner that suggested that he was just as uneasy as Tenma was beside him. When he started going into the explanation as to why he was out so late, the Nara immediately regretted asking in the first place. Despite the ending attempt at a smile, the change in tone had given away the child's shaky mental state. Rhaim closed his eyes, cracked his neck slowly and gave another low snort out of his nose before rising to his feet. While the kid was about the same stature as him, the genin was fairly certain that he wasn't a student. He wasn't carrying anything that looked like it belonged to the Academy. With hands returned firmly to his pants pockets he craned his neck around towards Tenma. His look still the same as it had been, "We should probably take him home. You can explain the whole water fighting thing to me after dinner."

Tenma was put completely at ease after the boy approached. It was obvious that he was a threat to neither herself nor Rhiam, much less the two of them. There was a slight urge to gag at yet another sob story, but she couldn’t say anything because her past wasn’t exactly rainbows and sun shines. With her shoulders relaxed and her hands on her hips she looked over the newcomer: he looked to be slightly older than she was and the same height as Rhiam, which was still considerably taller than she was, however he seemed to be lacking the maturity that should follow with his age. Then again, she had been blessed with Rhiam as a friend, one who was grown well beyond his years. Confident that her companion’s genjutsu release was effective and that this person wasn’t even capable of creating a genjutsu, Tenma didn’t even bother wasting her energy on yet another break. She listened to Rhiam and, though disappointed that they wouldn’t be training that evening, shrugged her shoulders and easily walked off of the flowing surface. “Very well,” her tone was cool and almost indifferent about the child, which was slightly out of character for her. “I do suppose it is our responsibility to escort him back to the village.” Oh well, training was off but maybe she would run into Adonis at the ramen shop and at least get in an arm wrestling match before the evening was over.

Rhaim couldn't help but feel as if Tenma really didn't want to help the boy out. The which caught him as odd since she had been happy to receive his aid when they first met. Though he figured that he may be reading her completely wrong after not having seen her in so long. With a shrug he walked back towards the shore that the new child was standing on and cocked his head in the direction of the village, "Let's go then."

The Nara led the group back down the mountain towards the village, intending to take his normal spot towards the rear once the child was able to navigate himself. It'd be simpler if the Jomei kid led them instead of him having to ask for directions every other corner. His hands were held deep inside his pockets as he walked with head locked forward.

Jomei smiled at the both of them and then his eyes opened wide while he was following them. "Your apart of the Academy arent you! Ive always wanted to join the academy! My goal is to join the Black Ops like my mom and help with my family's skills in long range fighting! How do I join?" He was jumping up and down in excitement because finally his life's dreams and goal were finally coming true, but there was one problem he just need his dad to say yes. His eyes were filled with hope he almost passed out in the excitement. He was so excited he even ignored the endless snorts from Rhaim. "By the way....you never told me your names" He looked at them with a huge smile, and the fact that he was almost shaking with excitement.

The girl followed as they headed out of the forest…this kid was odd to say the least. As they continued down the path the boy began rambling about his dreams and aspirations, apparently the two he had managed to stumble across were the key to this little world of his – one that matched up with about half the students in the academy at the time. Regardless, she was attempting not to judge as they were headed to the village. However, suddenly the boy started jumping around and Tenma tensed. The girl was moderately certain that she was about to be crushed as his excitement took over. Yes, Rhiam was a blessing since he was so calm; the girl wasn’t sure what to do. “Well are we not the easily excitable type…” Her voice was a bit unsure and confused, but she decided to focus on the question posed to them. “I am Fujiko Tenma, since you ask.” She wasn’t very fond of the new kid; not as of yet.

Rhaim had his hands deep in his pockets as he came walking into up the mountain towards a small open space by the river. It had been some time since he had last visited the place with Fujiko Tenma. The teen let out a short scoff at the thought before dismissing it and walking himself up a tree. Once he had a position with a clear unobstructed view of the clearing he took off his pack and set out the genjutsu scroll for reference. Though he didn't think that he would really need it, it was always best to be prepared in the event that he ended up being as spacey as usual. The boy let both arms go wide and his eyes shut as he leaned backwards to let out a long yawn. He had in fact gotten up at a much earlier time than he was used to doing.

Rhaim was glad to have had his little stretch atop the tree since he hadn't fully woken up yet. As he focused his attention down towards the riverbank a short way away from him he noticed a small flock of cranes meandering about the waters edge. The boy let out a short snort at the satisfaction of finding such good test subjects. There were six birds in total so he could only mess up the technique once and hope that they didn't all fly away before he could complete his training. Without wasting the time that he wasn't sure he had or not the teen began making his handseals and molding his chakra. He set his sights on the furthest of the birds so that the hardest target would be the most stable. There was no reason for him to make things harder on himself than he needed them to be.

Rhaim watched the furthest bird of the flock suddenly twist itself about and screech in agony and fear. Fortunately the other fowl simply looked up at their comrade in shock instead of immediately flying off. This would give the young shinobi time to switch gears and move on to using the genjutsu on another target. He was glad to see some real progress though since it did take a considerably longer time for the technique to activate on the bird that time around. He decided to simply move through the birds in rapid succession instead of waiting to see which ones he failed on and which ones he succeeded on. That in mind the teen quickly run through the hand signs as he molded chakra. His sight and focus shifted to the next furthest bird in the group.

Rhaim had managed to catch the second bird in the genjutsu trap before any real reactions were made by the rest of the flock. However that wasn't going to last as that second bird began screeching out in terror just like the first one had. With that the others in the group spread their wings out wide to begin their escape from the place. Though they didn't have a sense for what was causing the distress, it was obvious that it was something that meant them no form of good will. The teen saw this natural reaction to escape from him as an inconvenience to his training. Something that he really didn't have the time to deal with if he wanted to have any hope of finishing the training. Thus he continued forming the handseals and his chakra for the Hell Viewing technique.

Rhaim was quick enough on the draw to cause the third bird to drop back down to the earth as it had just taken off for flight. The rest of the flock however would prove a bit tricky since they were already in the air. Since there was nothing to obstruct the view between himself and the animals though, it didn't seem like it would be too much more difficult to handle. The boy took a deep long breath in through his nostrils and worked over the hand signs again as he molded his chakra inside of himself. It was definitely more awkward to continually be starting a new genjutsu hold on each bird each try instead of just holding it on a single one. In the end though that was a much easier art that even he knew he could do readily at that point.

Rhaim grit his teeth behind a closed mouth as a fourth bird let out a screech and fell back down to the earth in absolute horror. However it wasn't because of the use of chakra, or the fact that he may have badly injured the animal, but rather the fact that the remaining two were starting to clear the tops of the trees. If they pulled too far beyond them then they would get out of sight and his training would be delayed even further. He almost thought it rude of the creatures to be moving so quickly away from him. After all he wasn't trying to hurt them and the images that they saw would pass in time. He knew that fact all too well. No matter how gruesome or maddening the genjutsu that one could be put in, it would stop. It always stopped. It had to stop. Did it stop?

Rhaim almost smiled as he watched the fast escaping bird plummet into the leaves of the trees across the clearing. He was still panting a bit from the panic attack that began to overcome him as he thought about being trapped in a genjutsu. Eventually he was able to close his eyes and let out a low long sigh. He honestly hated the memories of the Genjutsu Kai training, but he hoped that having learned a technique of his own would help him get past it all. If nothing else he definitely understood how easily one could get hooked on using the techniques. It could justified as not actually causing physical harm to someone. However the teen had to admit, as he packed up his things, that justification wasn't often needed for professional killers. Not wanting to waste any more time the boy walked down the tree and back into the village. It was time for him to find a new technique to learn.
