Maddy turned to the new girl as she entered the room.
"Ooooh, a newcomer! Awesome. We're expecting a mission tonight, so it'll be a good time to break you in."
She held her hand out to shake Rosie's.
"I'm Maddy, by the way."

Thorn couldn't help glancing around, slightly lost. He'd gotten separated from Rosie, his protectorate-- well, not technically anymore, but he still felt compelled to look out for her. He wasn't entirely comfortable being by himself; he was still new to all this, and if it hadn't been for her, he wouldn't have been here at all. Finally, he heard voices, chatting. It was likely she'd be drawn to new people, so he made a gamble and entered the room. And there she was, talking to someone he didn't recognize. Well, they were still new, so that wasn't surprising. He stepped to Rosie, lightly taking her hand and giving it a squeeze for support. Thorn nodded to the talking girl, still tongue-tied.

"It's okay. We're pretty much all new here." Colton said as he avoided eye contact and held his right arm with his left across his front. Munchlax came up behind him and looked at the rest of the Aqua members from in between his trainer's legs.

Surprisingly people were nice! The girl stepped forward to greet her and Rosie froze for a second. The words 'breaking in' sounded a bit ominous but it would probably be good experience. This was the way that the world worked. Hard work would more likely lead to success. Just as she was about to step forward, she felt a presence and instantly felt more relaxed. Thorn, her best friend, her protector, her everything- had arrived! She could feel some of the tension dissolving and suddenly she was feeling a bit better about how things could go. "Thorn! You found me!" she exclaimed happily before turning back to face Maddy. The girl lifted her free hand ready to gently shake the other girl's hand in a greeting but flinched very slightly as soon as they made contact before quickly pulling her hand back and trying to smile a bit reassuringly. Contact with others... was harder then she had expected. Her family had formed habits, expectations and none of these things were positive ones. But at least with Thorn's support and her own determination, she could try to become a better person that could overcome any shadows that may haunt and cloud the future."It's nice to meet you, Maddy. I look forward to joining you on this mission."

Archie walks into the main room, two nameless grunts follow. Along side Archie is Dark, the two are engaged in conversation.
"Gather the rest of the team and prepare to head out. If your calculations are correct then we need that meteorite ASAP."
Archie and the grunts head off, leaving Dark by himself.
Dark looks around the room and makes an announcement.
"Hello everyone." Dark greats the room. "We need to prepare to head off to Meteor Falls. I believe there's a special meteorite there that gives off an immense energy. We need it."
Dark then begins to prepare his Pokemon.

"Awesome! It's time!"
Maddy ran off to her room to gather some things and returned within a few minutes. All of her Pokemon were eager to go and she was excited to see what they would face on this adventure.

Well that had gone well. The young girl watched as four people entered the room. Shortly after, three of the new people who had arrived left and the last turned to make an announcement. Maddy darted off to get some things but Rosie had already made sure she had everything. Lily the Emolga currently on her shoulder. Check. Vale her Poochyena at her side. Check. Kei was in his pokeball. Check. Thorn here. Check. Bag full of the stuff she'd possibly need. Check. That was everything...hopefully. The girl smiled, excited and gave Thorn's hand a slight squeeze. This was going to be the start of one of many adventures to come! "I'm ready!" the girl remarked. Vale looked interested, ready to see what exactly would happen on this journey. The Poochyena was more then ready to prove his worth in battle. His job was always to protect Rosie at all costs. His fur ruffled, crimson gaze alert.

"Ready Munchlax?" Colton asked the blob ho was pulling at his pant leg. "Then I guess we should go too!" he smiled, still avoiding the gaze of the others in the room.

Thorn had already been ready, prone to carrying everything with him out of habit. Song rested on his shoulder, the blind bat slightly drowsy, but ready when need be. Venus and Selkie were still in their Pokeballs-- the former was a drama queen and the latter wasn't great on land. But his bag was on his other shoulder, and he still held Rosie's hand, so he was as ready as he'd ever be. He had to admit, he was curious; what did this team do? He hadn't known much when they joined up, only hoping to get he and Rosie someplace new. Reckless of Thorn; it was time to see what Aqua meant.

Archie re-enters the room and looks around.
"Good to see everyone ready. I'm sure Dark has briefed you all on the mission so let's head out."
Archie marches out the door, followed by a few grunts and then Dark.
"I got a bad feeling about this." Dark mumbles, staying close to the leader.

Maddy rushed to join up with Archie and Dark.
"I know you said this meteorite has power, but what do we need it for?"
I hope this isn't a repeat of The Goods... She thought.
She let out her Gible and Axew to follow along beside everyone.

Rosie could feel the excitement building. The first mission she was going on in Team Aqua. It didn't take long for the group to re-gather and be ready. The previous three that had left came back and decided it was time to start the mission. They led the way and Rosie pulled Thorn's hand slightly before letting go. She smiled, wondering where they could possibly be going and what they would do? Would there be bad people? Lots of pokemon? Strange events? It would be nice to meet new pokemon and make new friends! But life wasn't all laughter and rainbows, as she knew well due to her own personal family life. Something could look great on the outside, but on the inside it was like a mirror shattered with glass all over the floor, almost invisible to the eye and still dangerously spread and sharp. Lethally sharp. Giving a quick shake of her head, she tried to rid her mind of those thoughts. No, she couldn't sink now. Instead she should be trying to focus on the mission at hand. It was a bit hard since she had no idea what they would be doing. All she could do was follow the group and try to stay alert on everything that happened around them.

Allen ran to catch up, from the looks of it he'd just barely made it into the room in time. He huffed at the back of the group, Shuppet following effortlessly behind him, her little spectral body floating near Allen's head.

Thorn followed, letting himself be pulled along by Rosie. Time to go see Meteor Falls. It seemed like there was a decently-sized group along for the ride, to go get this strange energy stone. He wasn't sure why so many people were coming, but strength in numbers couldn't hurt. And it let him see who did what in the team.
