Oki quickly spotted the Torchic that darted out to peck and pull at people. He watched it warily, but this one didn't seem to want to harm anyone. It seemed to be trying to divert everyone from their path, however. He was't sure what to make of it, so he didn't stop it when it approached Anise.
Anise was alerted to the Torchic's presence when it started tugging at a dangling buckle of her bag. She turned to look at the bird, and once it was sure it had her attention, it darted off to tag at someone else. She watched it repeat teh process a couple times, trying to figure out what it was trying to do, and noted the only direction it wasn't pulling was the way they were doing.
To the group at large, Anise asked, "Hey, does anyone think that Torchic is trying to warn us away from the direction we're going?"

Interaction: Anise Michelle felt the tugging at her pants and looked down to see the adorable little bird. "Aww, hi there." She cooed. Remy gave the Torchic an uninterested look before going back to staring at the Houndour. The blond looked over at Anise when she spoke up and gave a small shrug. "Could be that it wants to show us something too." Shoo, torchic!

When another trainer answered her question, Anise nodded. "True...I wonder what it could be. And would it be wise to follow it? We don't know much about this area. It's just as likely to be leading us towards danger as away from it." Oki was inclined to urge Anise to leave the bird alone until her last sentence. That made him pause. If there was really danger on their path, he should direct her away. If the Torchic was trying to lead them astray, he should chase it off. Katori tilted his head towards the other trainers conversation. "Doesn't look like it would try an' leads us wrong though.... i mean the further we're going the more we're seeing these strange Pokemon ... this little'un wants us to go another way .. maybe it's a good guy?" he said in the direction of Anise. The torchic sure didn't look harmful though but you never could tell sometimes with Pokemon.

Michelle looked at the Torchic in thought. "Maybe, maybe not but we wont know unless we do follow it." She answered Anise. She glanced at Katori with a small smile. "Maybe! It's not attacking anyone so it could be a good sign there."

The two continued on with the group after ogling at the houndour. though it wasn't like he needed another one, Phrixus was just fine for his taste. One rambunctious and battle hungry Houndoom was enough for him. A tug on his pant leg caught his attention and looked down spotting the torchic, now that was one fire pokemon he didn't own yet. He followed its little energetic self as it went off and tugged on other people's articles of clothing.
"Possibly," Zak replied when Anise spoke up, "Maybe we should try and follow it? It could be trying to help us, it doesn't seem like it wants to hurt us like the other's we have run into. Its not like we are getting really far anyways, a bit of change in direction could be a good thing." he spoke recalling the slight detour he and a few others had taken in the cave.

Gepardo paused, watching a torchic run by him, and let out a sign as he watched a speckled white torchic chased after it.He plucked up Lilliputti, one hand going over his face in frustration and tiredness. "...Bad Ditto." Said pokemon just chirped cutely at him. "...I command no respect with you, do I?"

She watched the Torchic a moment more before adding, "Though if we take too many detours we may end up out in the open when night falls...On the other hand, there's no guarantee we'll get to the mountains by nightfall anyway, or that we'll find food and shelter once there." She shook her head. There was way too little information all around.

"Well I also suppose if we need to we could always return to that cave we found a while back, it would be shelter from nightfall and even if it is infested with Zubats I'm pretty sure with the different types of pokemon we have with us and the amount of them we can scare them off for the night if we need to." Zak suggested. He glanced over across the group looking for Phrixus wondering where the houndoom went off to, with Remmy no doubt.

Katori interacting with Michelle, Zak and Anise "But the captain is supposed t'be leadin' us to the ship so we can get home" He frowned and mused "If we follow the Torchic then we might lose our ride" he sighed and rubbed his face with one hand. "I jus' don't know if we should split up just to follow a bird, friendly as it is" The bits of paper were ominous though, perhaps they should follow the torchic?

"But the last time I saw the ship it was going down with a flock of pidgey's who knows if its actually able to even carry us home. Plus the captain could be wrong on where it is located. Truthfully I don't really trust him that much, not with how he had us do everything while he was out doing who knows what last night." Zak commented back.

She shook her head. There was way too little information all around. You find yet another scrap of journal page blowing in the breeze. Upon seeing the page, the torchic chirped angrily. The pokemon made no attempts at conversation with any of its pokemon peers, in fact, practically ignoring the pokemon. It only tugged and pulled at the humans.

"Oooooh its so cute!" Vana cood at the other torchic that showed up, it seemed to be trying to lead them somewhere. "Were do you think it wasn't us to go Eros? I think we should follow it." It was just so adorable and small, she wanted to pick it up and cuddle it forever. she wasn't sure how something so cute could last long out here with all the vicious pokemon running around. Shoo, torchic!

Anise caught the scrap of paper and read its contents. This one seemed particularly revealing. "Ah-ha! So the writer's been breeding pokemon, and they started mutating from that!" She read further, then tried to puzzle out what the bit off-page could be. "Wait...'I think they [may be] mutating from being...' Did someone find a piece of paper about pokemon getting inbred? That would make a lot more sense. Then the bit about aggressive pokemon in cages trying to kill them would have been after this entry, so we've been finding them out of order." She pondered what other bits of information might fit together, but realized she probably didn't know them all. "Maybe we should see if any other papers fit together." Still, if the inbreeding was causing the problem, they could probably surmise a solution. "So we need to stop this person from inbreeding the pokemon?"

There wasn't much string or danglies hanging from Magnolia save one: Rho's springy tail. The chick tugged at it, causing the feline to yelp. She turned tot he little bird as it danced about on each foot to catch her attention before moving on to the next person. Were they in danger?
