With fish in hand, Mayaa ran out into the frozen pond in reckless abandon.

There was laughter, and she turned, catching a glimpse of orange and black before she felt it brush her feet, making her trip and fall as she heard a splash.

"You were a stubborn little bugger, but I'm more stubborn", Kari panted, her lungs stinging from the cold air as she gazed at her prize...
Unfortunately, it was one she already had, and wouldn't be able to keep. Reluctantly, Kari released it back into the water. All that hard work was wasted she pouted to herself.
