The eyes kept staring at her. Apparently, the slash hadn't scared off whoever it was. "I'm not scared of you!" Acerola screamed, although she was mostly scream to herself, because she was sure there wasn't anything there. Yet, there probably was something.

Possibly in response to her yelling, something grabbed her. Oh, so there was something there. Probably as revenge, she fell and fell and fell....and once again, the familiar sensation of reaching the ground stopped her. She picked up a different blessing this time.

Now on her ankles. Igny was whimpering as she ran, heavy breathes mixed with suppressed sobs.

As if responding to her terror, Igny tripped once more. The hands pulled, yanked. No more.

She was home free. She could see the end- it didn't have blessings, but it was a way out.
It was also a trap. Hands yanked her down, the ground beneath her feet crumbled. She screamed, but no one heard. Igny almost welcomed the freefall that came after. It was peaceful. No more hands, no more whispers. Just falling.
She rotated, looking down. It was then that her descent began to slow, changing to the pace of a crawl. Finally, her feet tapped onto a checkboard. It was done. She could see the blessings. "Oh my ... thank the goddesses!"
Yet the question still begged in the back of her mind ... would she be caught?

She'd ended up here again, or at least what she could remember of here. There was a distant memory of blackness and pain but that melted away to something sharper as she looked down the platforms and jumped to the first one. It was so heavy she nearly fell off and blinked a few times as it filled her.
Mel'ae was stronger than she ever had been. Fortune with her she had slain them, inexperienced perhaps but now at peace with it, he weapon merely an extension. She could taste the thrill of putting down the one who had attacked her. A distant battle cry filled her ears and she grabbed at her own axe at her side, rushing ahead down the platforms. Nothing could beat her, she was fortunate.

The faces were there and she swore she had seen them somewhere before. Mel'ae stumbled once or twice feeling the emotion in the heat of battle, swinging her axe and nothing as she approached each new platform until finally coming to rest on a larger one.
The figure took little time in forming and a small smile crossed her lips but she remained calm in staring at the sword-wielding other. "I will not lose." She spoke, though the figure certainly didn't hear it. Was this the one she had already put down for striking her? She wasn't sure but remained poised as she attacked with her weapon, making only a slight mark but still making the attack.
She was going to put it down again if it was the last thing she did.

It began to relentlessly attack and she found herself dodging quite a bit, still taking hits as good as she could give. "Hah!" She cried, striking down at it with another blow. It was slow going this time but she felt it. She was going to beat it.

She missed it? How could she miss? She jumped back angrily and shook the feeling away. Battle wasn't something that could stop her, not now. "Come on!" She shouted at herself.

There it was, a better blow. The one she'd been waiting for. She narrowly avoided a critical blow before making one of her own across its face. She was grinning because it was coming together, she was fortunate in battle. It was exciting and a good rush.
