BOOM BOOM BOOM None of her strategies worked. It seems that despite actually hitting the balloons quite often, she kept the numbers even. Pink and black, black and pink. At some point she thought she was getting colour-blind - despite trying to focus on the pink, she kept dragging down black ones by mistake.
Well, who cares anyway, she thought, feeling hurt but knowing she has noone to blame. "I do not care. I do not care". So what? Even if I have lost again...

BOOM BOOM BOOM The new balloons were suspiciously absent the next time Thackery visited the booth. He tried briefly to tie that fact into his conspiracy regarding the darts, but opted to just play the game instead of thinking too hard about that. Best to avoid standing there for weeks to debate with himself.
