" Mmm, I'll be seeing you in my dreams~" Nikolai purred before clicking the bedside lamp off. ~~~There was a light tapping sound from a distance. It sounded like a thud, maybe a knock, only light. It was barely audible, and it was because of that that Nikolai was able to continue his blissful sleep. That knocking, however, continued.

Leon Court Leon, awakened by the tapping, eased his arms from around the Sin and got out of the bed, walking over to the window. " What the-" he grunted, opening the window a little to see what exactly was going on.

" Uncle Leon!" a little girl giggled happily when the violet-haired man peered out, waving excitedly at him. She couldn't be older than five and most likely tall enough to be eye level with Leon's waist. She shared his purple hair, only hers was brighter and matched her dress. Besides her were two large (for her size) traveling bags, one of which sported a note.

Leon Court He had been expecting a bird, not a little girl. She was clearly related to him, what with the hair and the calling him uncle, but he couldn't, for the life of him, place her face. She looked familiar enough, though, so Leon quickly sprang into action. " I'll be right out!" He called, shutting the window and rushing to the dresser. He pulled a pair of jeans out, as well as a long sleeved shirt. It took seconds for him to change into something appropriate, but a little less than a minute to locate a blanket. The girl must've been freezing, standing out in the cold in that little dress, and who knew how long she'd been out there! Guilt written in his eyes, Leon rushed down the stairs and to the front door, opening it and bending down to wrap a blanket around her little body. " Oh, I'm so sorry!" He picked her up, rubbing her back in an attempt to warm her. His hand then went to grab the suitcases, somehow managing to drag them both one-handedly into the house. Once they were inside, he carried everything into the living room, setting the little girl on the couch. " Now then," he started, catching sight of the note. He plucked it from the suitcase, opening and beginning to read.

Nikolai barely budged when he heard Leon's frantic movements. He lifted his head for a moment to give the man a confused and sleepy look, but quickly settled back to sleep. He'd worry about it another time. Meanwhile, the note read, " Dear Leon,
We hear you like kids. We just so happen to have one. Too many, actually. And not a lot of money. We can't take care of him, so please do it for us. Don't worry! You'll just get this one! If we get enough money to take care of our kids, we will be sure to get them back as soon as possible. We're so sorry for the inconvenience. But I mean, you like kids! Win/win!
- Cousins Ben and Becka " There were some areas that were smudged by the melted snow, so only a few words were unreadable, but they conveyed the message clearly. By the apologetic look in the girl's wide eyes, she knew what it said, too.

Leon Court Leon had to sit down after he reread the note for the eighth time. A kid? He h-had a kid now? Well, it wasn't his, of course. But she would be looking up to him as a father until Ben could take her back. Of course, now, it made sense that she was Becka and Ben's kid, but still! How irresponsible! And oh God, Nikolai wouldn't be happy about this. With a heavy sigh, the man turned to the girl to tell her that he couldn't keep her, when he saw those beautiful big eyes and the hopelessness of her situation. She had nowhere else to go. With another sigh, Leon smiled gently and set a large hand on her shoulder. " Looks like you'll be staying with me for a little while," he said. " What's your name, sweetheart?"

The little girl broke out into a wide smile (with a couple teeth missing) when she heard Leon agree to the letter. " My name's Aysun!" she answered politely, giggling when the hand went on her shoulder.

Leon Court " Aysun? That's such a lovely name!" He smiled brightly at the adorable child, forgetting for a moment that the Turkish name, while traditionally feminine, was the name of several great-grandfathers down the line. " A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." His finger moved to touch her chin before he stood, setting his hands on his hips. " Now then, are you hungry or tired? I can make you something to eat, or you can go sleep in the guest room. Whatever you want, Aysun."

Aysun giggled again and blushed lightly when she was complimented. When asked what to do, her eyes grew wide and she hopped in place. " Pancakes!" she said energetically. " Can you make pancakes?"

Leon Court " Of course I can!" He reached down to pick her up again, strong arms easily balancing her small weight. Holding her up, he walked into the kitchen, sitting her on a chair before going over to the fridge. " It'll a little while, though, so do you want some milk while you wait? We have strawberry, banana, melon, chocolate, and regular." he pulled out the little boxes of milk he'd gotten at the store just the other day. They were supposed to be used for an experiment for his class, but he was certain that the kids wouldn't mind giving a little girl one. Setting the different milk boxes in front of Aysun, he grabbed up the ingredients needed to make pancakes and went to the stove, turning it on and setting down the pan. He wasn't entirely sure, but little kids seemed to like cool shapes of their pancakes. He'd only made shapes a couple other times and it had been a while, but it couldn't be too hard to remember. He glanced back at the girl to check on her, then started to mix the batter in a large white bowl. " Now, do you want heart pancakes, Micky Mouse ones, star ones, or what?" he questioned, pretty sure that he could make them.

" Strawberry!" the girl beamed when given the options. She never really got those choices back home. Whenever there were, her many siblings would take them before she could. She could only try strawberry milk during school, and though they weren't many times, she loved drinking it. Uncle Leon sure was cool to have some in his fridge! He got even cooler when he offered to make her pancakes a certain way. Her eyes sparkled like stars. " Can you make hearts and Mickey Mouse??" she asked.

Leon Court After making sure that she had strawberry milk in front of her, Leon got to work making the pancakes. " Anything you want, sweetheart," he said, already feeling his heart melting. She was the cutest possible thing! He grabbed a ladle, pouring out the base head first. Then, he made the two ears, watching carefully before he started making the heart. The room filled with the smell of pancakes, and before long, Leon had a plate with six hearts and seven Mickey Mouse's. He brought the plate over, setting it down in front of her. " Would you like some syrup?" he offered, walking back to the fridge. He and Nikolai had a few left over from their last all-night escapade, but the girl didn't need to know that.

Aysun cheered when the pancakes came, practically jumping up and down in her seat with excitement. She looked at the food and tried to decide on which of them to eat first when she heard the question. " Yeah!" she beamed. The sound of cooking (among other things) and the smell of food riled the Sin from his slumber. Usually he would assume Leon was being romantic, but he had a bad feeling about now. His senses were tingling, although he never knew what exactly that meant. Nikolai walked down the stairs, his hand lazily brushing against the wall as the other rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes, though he knew that was impossible. " What are you doing so early, darling?" he asked sleepily until he caught sight of a bright light at the table. He paused and squinted at the mysterious creature that tilted its head at him curiously. After a second, realization hit him and made the man jump back. " Wh-What is that?!" he cried out and pointed at the child in horror.

Leon Court Leon set a bottle of syrup at the table, then jumped at the sound of Nikolai's voice. He tried to stand in front of the child, but didn't get there fast enough, and winced at the Russian's shrieked question. " L-look, I know this doesn't look good, but you gotta believe me, it's not my fault! Well, I guess on some level, it's my fault, but still!" He walked over, lowering his voice. " Listen, okay? Her parents are my cousins, and they don't have the room or money to pay for her, so they sent her here. I didn't know, alright? B-but they said that they'll take her back once they manage to make the room. It's not going to be forever, I promise."

Nikolai gave Leon a bewildered look then at the child that curiously stared at them. " A child..." he breathed. The worst possible thing against a man of relaxation and laziness like him. Didn't he just mention that he didn't like kids?! He quickly grabbed Leon's shirt. " I'll give them money, I don't care how much, just send that... sleep reducing child away!" he begged. " Uncle Leon...?" Aysun mumbled, much quieter now that the other male was here. " Who is that?"
