Jacob twitched a bit and looked away. He was silent a moment and he was overly aware of how it felt to have Liv's hand in his own. "...i don't want to talk about that...can't you...think of something else?" he asked, his voice low and quiet as he tried not to think about the answer to her question, the reason he hated the idea of loving...the reason he hated relationships and the lies the represent...the reason he was against falling in love....

(( ******** IT. I'M SWITCHING TO PARA. I've almost accidentally started para-rping several times now so SCREW IT. <3 ))
Liv sensed Jacob's apprehension to answering her question, and she became even more concerned about the answer. She looked at him for a long moment, contemplating whether to push or to let it go. With a small sigh, she put her free hand on his shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Alright, sweetheart....I'll think of something else..." she trailed off, trying to think exactly what else she could ask for.
"How about....will you dance with me...? A nice slow dance," she smiled a little at him.

Jacob relaxed a bit when Liv agreed to not push the topic any further. "d-dance?...if...that's all you want...sure....but...i'd dance with you either way you know...." he said, a small smile escaping his lips as he fought not to chuckle at her simple request. "so what dance would you like to do...a waltz, the foxtrot, a salsa, samba, cha-cha, tango?" he asked, revealing the fact Jacob actual was a descent ballroom dancer.

"I know...but it was all I could think of...I'm not hard to please," she smiled genuinely.
"I just want a nice slow dance...I just like to sway together, really," she laughed a little at the thought of it before moving to put on a nice slow song.

"...really....alright...." he rests his hands on her hips and begins swaying, feeling a little awkward about the slow swaying and keeping a bit of distance between their bodies. "....this...is a strange way to dance" he poked fun at Liv's request.
"...is this how people usually dance...the ones who don't do ballroom i mean?"

"No, like this, silly...," she laughed and wrapped her arms around his torso, resting her head on his shoulder.
"It's not really that strange...is it? This is just how I like to sometimes. I like to ballroom dance too though, even if I'm not very good at it."

Jacob blushed a bit and looked away, dancing with liv. "i-i guess its not strange...just...different than i'm used to...that's all" he said and continued to sway with her, not really sure what to do. When he danced with someone normally his mind could stay preoccupied with what to do next, where to step, how to spin, where his hands should be and his feet too, and when...but this kind of dancing left too much room to think about other things, and liv's previous question was still lingering in his mind, making him more and more uncomfortable with being this close to someone. The only time jacob pushed away from bodily contact was when he was reminded about what happened back then....

She smiled, but sighed a little sadly, thinking of her own past; of Tyki and Luci, and how she hadn't seen either of them in such a long time. To be truthful, she missed the entire Noah family. She missed living in the mansion with them all, even when Road whined for hours about being bored. She could feel her throat tightening up and she turned her face into Jacob's shoulder, willing herself not to cry again. She should listen to what Jacob said the other day and accept her fate and get over it; Tyki wasn't coming back.
"You're a sweet young man, Jacob...I'm glad that you came around again," she said quietly.
They had been dancing for several minutes now, and the song was coming to a close. With a little smile and some hesitation, she pulled herself back from him when the music finished.
"Thank you for the dance," she stated simply.

Jess had been standing in the doorway for a few moments, hesitant on entering.
"I can always come back later if you wish."

Liv looked to Jess, a little startled by her entrance, but then smiled, "Oh...no, just taking Jacob up on that one favor he owed us from our singing the other night."

"y-you are welcome..." jacob said, looking away as he waited for the blush on his cheeks to fade. After a moment the heat left him and he looked back at her. He could see the falseness in her smile...it the was same fake look his used when he tried to mask his own feelings. He could only guess what had her upset again, but he was sure his guess was right. "....you could always go after him too you know...after Tyki i mean....you don't have to wait around for him to come to you...he's a dumb hobo...but i'm sure he isn't that hard to track down....why don't you give it a shot....happiness doesn't really come to those who wait.....seize your own happiness...." he said and shrugged, stepping back a bit from her. "you deserve to be happy...i can help you....i can find out where tyki went if you want....i can...try to bring him back even...."

Liv sighed, already knowing that searching for Tyki wouldn't bring him back, "It's no use, Jacob...I really appreciate the offer, but...I know that we wouldn't find him. It's just...one of those things," she shrugged it off.
"You don't have to bring him back, Jacob. I'm happy here, with all of my friends, including you," she smiled and reached to ruffle his hair, even though she knew he didn't like it.
Turning to Jess, she replied, "It's all good here, really."
