anbu_ninja_penguin Sometimes you need to step back..... The steal was dodged. Neither side seemed to be giving up nor in. Honestly, Vanessa probably wouldn't have it any other way, at least for this game, the others she would prefer them to give up. She started to climb upwards a bit and sped up her broom. She had to shake this chaser.

Sometimes you need to step back..... Vanessa suddenly changed her direction from an upward climb to a dive to dodge this steal attempt. The second year's steals seemed to be getting more and more consistant in vicinity and it was rather unsettling to the Fifth year. She knew if this was any indecation, she'd have to find some way to shake the Gryffindor soon. The shot wouldn't be a problem but the steal attempts were just going to be trouble, the blonde could just tell.

Dominic shook the hair out of his bright blue eyes as he narrowed his vision and tightened his grip, coursing fast and hard on the tails of his teammates. A distant quaffle caught his eye as it barreled along on the far side of the field. He took off with a sharp pull, shooting high and far in the plummeting heights of the skies and waited, predicting the every move of the rogue bludger until he whipped his arm back and sent it hurtling toward Remy.

Her heart began to pound in her ears, deafening the cries of swelling fans lurched all around in the stands. She wondered if Dev was there, somewhere, watching her and cheering her on. Chewing her lip, she could only shake her head as small blonde strands slashed left and right, shaking all of her thoughts and worries away. They couldn't bother her up here. High on adrenaline, Belle smiled, confident and proud.

anbu_ninja_penguin Sometimes you need to step back..... For what seemed to be the hundredth time this game, Vanessa dodged another steal attempt, with each one they seemed to get closer to a success. It was starting to make the slytherin feel unsettled. She spun upside down to attempt to see if that were lessen the chances of the steals getting closer to being successful.

Sometimes you need to step back..... To dodge this final attempt, Vanessa righted herself. As she was doing so, she noticed the second year looked confused. The younger girl must not have seen many matches, both professonal and of the slytherins, to see that tactic used. She took a deep breath and lined up the quaffle with the rings. Once she was settled she launched it.

  Ronyo Storm - Slytherin
Fifth Year/ Slytherin Quidditch Captain/ Beater
Quidditch Pitch/ Game Another point by Gryffindor with Jasmine being surprisingly absent minded over the shot. It was not like her to miss the attempt, a fact Ronyo worried was more to do with personal matters than her talent. It was not something Ronyo could fault the girl over though because while this game was important now, there was life after Quidditch and often times it was much more difficult. Not to be out done Vanessa had taken possession of the quaffle again and was already back across the field with Remy buzzing around her in an attempt to steal. The girl had taken off like a rocket and given Ronyo's broom was not designed for speeds like the chasers he was forced to climb into the sky and then dive to get his speed up to catch the quick Slytherin chaser. Coming in on the opposing teams goal Ronyo locked eyes on a bludger and moved his broom down and out to gain the chance to catch it. With a quick smack from his bat Ronyo sent the small cannonball streaking towards Remy once again. The girl was the primary source of almost every bludger shot from both Dominic and Ronyo so far, a fact the Captain felt sorry about but she was proving to be the largest threat to their team. It was the moment though, the time Ronyo felt best in order to make his hopefully double sided attack. The girl had scored two points and was becoming Vanessa's biggest concern when it came to scoring. The girls confidence would be almost to its peak and Ronyo knew he would get no better opportunity than this one. His shot had been better aimed and timed so that he launched the orb just a bit ahead of Remy so she would hopefully fly right into it. His past shots had missed by inches and gave the appearance that the girl was quicker and more agile than Ronyo's aim and skill. It had been a ruse, a deception to try and bring the girl further into his trap. All warfare was deception, and all conflicts were a style of warfare making sporting events no different. What she didn't see, however, was the bludger flying at her. It hit hard into Remy's left side, ribs snapping hard. "Bloody hell!" she cried out, a hand going to her side. Her breath was coming in gasps, but this time, she had brought her inhaler. She pulled it from her pocket with shaking fingers, and placed it to her lips. She inhaled the medicine in awkward gasps. She put it away, and looked to see where the bludger had come from. Ronyo, of course. She sighed again. Heather was right, taking a bludger to the ribs hurt like hell. ✔Status: Single He heard the crack, and when he looked for the source, he saw a bludger mozying on it way and Remy holding her side and gasping for air. At least, she had her inhaler. He felt a pang of concern and turned towards her, ready to tend to her. But he stopped himself. To go take care of Rem would be to abandon his search for the snitch. The best way to help her would be to find the snitch and win the game for her. Out Of Character: ...

Sometimes you need to step back..... Once again, The keeper was nowhere near the quaffle when Vanessa shot. The fifth year was begining to wonder why the keeper was even there, The first year obviously didn't have her head in the game. Oh well, it worked better for Slytherin with that being the case. She smiled as she turned her broom around. She was ready to steal the moment Gryffindor had the ball.
