Though he had been hit by the attack as well, Vaith was alive--thank Jack for that. Xiu's shoulders relaxed slightly, but they promptly stiffened again as she took a better look around at their surroundings. W-wait, where were? Where was Lizzy? Mot? Hel? Where was Levi?! Ren was no longer standing where he had been either, and--
"N-no, they didn't...did they...?" Everything had happened far too fast. That one attack had killed so many of their classmates--so many of her friends--and she hadn't realized it as her attention had been focused solely on Vaith, Shun, and Mitsu. She almost crumpled at the sudden realization that her friends were gone, but...no, not now. That could wait until later. There were still Amityville students alive and fighting, and that should be her focus for now.
It was hard, though. She swallowed a lump in her throat.
Hearing Mitsu call her, Xiu reached back to take Vaith's relatively-uninjured hand with her relatively-uninjured hand, leading him along with her. The last thing she wanted to do was for any of them to get separated right now. "Mitsu, aniki..." She looked from one to the other as she got close, and then bit her lip. "...A-are you okay? Can you...can you walk?" This was directed towards the dark-haired reaper who, at the very least, seemed able to stand. But even if he could walk, the question was what were they supposed to do now?
Fortunately, Amrita's yell certainly caught her attention. The first thought that passed through her mind as the vetala talked? Amrita! She's okay! The second was that that didn't sound like too bad of an idea. At least, if everyone gathered together, then maybe...
That thought was cut off when a familiar kitsune came into view. "Remi!" He was alive too!

Amrita squeaked happily when a familiar (though much poofier than she remembered) Kitsune came bounding up to them. "REMI. Remi you're alive! Oh thank Jack!" Her bottom lip wibbled like she was about to cry again, but before she could her attention was quite physically moved; that was the downside to have a hunchback for a chair, they tended to be bossy and moved around. "Oh, Hi Aksaja!" She smiled at the Dragon from her perch until she realized that he was signing again. "Umm...lets see..." Back into heavy concentration mode, the battered Patchwork missed Christof's fancy new kicks, and instead worked hard on translating. "Uhh-- Need bigg--no, no, greater-" She emphasized her mistake. "-- numbers. Need to...oragnize. Need more.." Her head tilted once more, and this time she looked at Aksaja directly. " Find more unwounded, Dragon," Then, with a sheepish smile, she added. "He says." These weren't her words, honest!

Draven listened. The other students were saying strange things. Hunters? Red? Snippets of conversation came here and there that served only to confuse the raven-mocker more. Suddenly though, there were very clear voices in his head.
He looked up at the beast. It answered to the name "Red". So...it really was Red. What had happened? He didn't really have time to think about it. Suddenly, the beast's cold, burning fire was everywhere. Draven took to wing, attempting to escape it as best he could.
"Lucky," he breathed as he landed. He'd been able to avoid most of the fire, though he was now a bit chilled, frost clinging to his feathers. He immediately set to work on a quick preening job-if he needed to move quickly again frost would only hinder him.
HP: 18 - 2 = 16 + 5 = 21

West would catch up, she was pretty sure he was right behind her. Close enough. Holly made her way back towards where she last saw Savior. "Savior!" No, she looked pretty bad. This place just sucked. She was being held by someone. Nat? "Nat, good to see you are okay. Savior isn't doing well is she?" She looked at the smaller ghoul for a moment. Then it hit her. She still had one more of the pumpkin pills! Holly fished it out of her pocket and knelt down next to Savior and Nat. "Savior, eat this, you'll feel better. I promise."

She nodded over at the one that had made the 'yip' sound and then looked over at the boil that asked for healing she smiled a little and apologetically, "I am afraid that is beyond my abilities and I'd given my pumpkin pill to a teammate that had needed it."
Lattice was fairly certain her team were all pretty much fried up.

The attempts to stop the hunter leader had failed. For all her fury, and all her anger, and his weaponless state it was useless. Nothing happened except a near one sided slaughter on the students. Some landed blows, but just as quickly the hunter drew two daggers, other weapons like his original? No in some ways it seemed worse. She watched as Xiu was stabbed to the ground. FEAR seemed to be drained from the poor girls body at an alarming rate. What could she do though?
Nothing it would seem as suddenly a flask flew into the air, the contents hitting students nearby. A splash of three drops hit Sammy clearly sending her stumbling backwards her face burning and smoking. FEAR reacted poorly indeed as she fell backwards on the ground squirming and scratching at her flesh trying to get the last of the liquid to leave.
It was from here she heard the voice, no, two voices. Slowly she rolled over, her vision clearing from the liquid attack, Red was talking.
They hadn't listened? Well where were they to go? The room had no exit, it wasn't even a room anymore for that matter. Slowly she got up dust and grime covering her from the whole entire melee, though her flesh was mostly mended pockets of bone showed on her face where the liquid ate away, a grim bit of cheek bone showing what it had done.
Did we fail again Red? Did you really fail to teach us or did we just screw everything up ourselves?
Suddenly she was a flight again, her maw opened wide; this was it. This was different from any other attack....
The flames came fast she could barely raise her arm to even attempt shielding herself, her jacket burst into flame around her, yet at the same time her body seemed to freeze was it the attack? Her own FEAR reacting? She couldn't tell in the eternity of pain she was in. This wasn't just lava, or a dragons fire, this was something more that ripped apart her very soul, or what ever it was deep down inside her. Her jacket was gone her shirt beneath in ruins hair singed black her bones just the same her pants hanging in burning tatters with her boots caked in a thin layer of burned leather. Well, Shehk did right in buying decent boots.
Slowly she moved, her arms dropping like lead weights as she lifted her foot with a heavy thump. Her body was ruinned for the most part, patches of flesh gone or seared black from fire, she was hardly together at this point as she stumbled towards Amrita and the others near her
"Ami..." She croaked horse and dry as her body struggled to function with all the fire damage. She stumbled closer swaying side to side like a scarecrow on a thin wood post. "We need... we need to leave... somehow." She stumbled closer shaking her head as a cry for battle was raised again.
"We've lost Red's... Red's fading and fast.... she said... it they... we failed to listen again... we can't stay for revenge or we'll." She paused looking around at all the now missing faces. The ones who didn't get up after the attack.
"We need to leave." She glanced towards the path they had followed in and back, "Gather those who need the help... but this... this is done..."

Well, she didn't have to go far. Looking over a shoulder briefly, she shrugged and smiled to both Tybalt and Simone.
And then, when she spotted Holly, her brows furrowed in an attempt to show the concern felt for...Wait, the ghouls name was Savior? "Uh--no, she is not doing well." Pausing...orange eyes dropped to the masked ghoul briefly, waiting for her response to the pill offering. "Savior?"
So she wasn't calling her a savior...

Aksaja summoned up a faint smile for Amrita and then tilted head and nodded at her words. Which were . . . apparently Christof's words. "I was trying to do that, but I don't know how many of them heard me." Should he make another pass around, perhaps?"

"No! I must make sure those who are down are safe! If he unleashes another shockwave he might kill more of us!" Shehk called back. Like many who were rallying, the pricolici also bore a pack mentality...however, hers was quite literally pack oriented. Ever lupine instinct she had was to keep the numbers taken care of. Even if Caelius went down, there was still one more...looming..problem.
Would Red stop rampaging if the Hunter was dead, or would they have to kill them all?
It hurt to think about it, though it was possible the repeated bludgeoning of her head against stone was also a factor in why her head hurt. Yet, another part of her wanted to make sure that Toby, Sammy, and Nuk weren't part of those who were down. She had to make sure, she had to make sure. She had to check on Israfel too. He'd gone off to attack the flying Red and well..she hadn't seen him since. "Aksaja, I will join once I have finished with this task! You keep everybody safe until then, I'm counting on you! Get everybody out of here, it isn't worth it to stay now!"
The leaders of their group were definitely showing their colors and bursting forth in this situation, and Shehk was encouraging this hope that bubbled in her chest; Hope that everybody would somehow come out of this alright.

"I did. I unsummoned Ferros so I could bring Kouki back. I figured when you woke up you'd both feel better if he was right there." Jordan stretched out his right hand, summoning his own weapon again. Ferros growled, but grudgingly allowed it; the hammer's materialization was about half a second slower than usual and managed, somehow, to convey crankiness. "Ferros isn't pleased with me either," he admitted. "I have one roll left," he answered Ennea. "Let's get back to the group. If those things rush us, it wouldn't be good to get caught out." He held out a hand to help Madison up. "You both okay?"

Christof glanced around, trying to keep his hunch still for his passenger's sake. The dragon loosing her mind and roaring, the Hunters regrouping, the rubble... Completely forgetting Amrita, the hunchback lurched forward, hefting a large rock to pile it against another, rushing about to gather as many as he could heft before finally stopping long enough to look up at the vitala with an apologetic expression before signing, "Barricade! Wall!" In case she couldn't get the first, "Build-protection-against-humans. Build-protection-against-Beast. Need-" He hesitated, eyes scanning the terrain... Barth. He needed Barth, it was too much and they had limited time.... He had almost forgotten- AGAIN! Why did they stray far? And a Kelpie should be easy to spot....

Calder was left feeling even more weak in the knees than before, and looked at Barth with a bit less color than before. "I thought I was .......I don't want to be a weapon!" He whined, a little too late at this point, but still feeling the need to state it. It was a good thing he wasn't anywhere near that chamber now. "I'm glad the house killed it." He pointed out, and glad that it couldn't be used on anyone else. Some machines were just bad. VERY BAD MACHINES!
Just then, a horrible fire washed over the battlefield and Calder jumped close to Barth, but instead of being burned, he just felt the pain of it. He was certain that his skin was sizzling, but when the flames died away, his skin was still the same as before - if not a bit less wet now. Checking himself, he looked about and noticed Chirsotf on the field. Calder waved to signal him to get his lumpy butt over here. He rose his hands. 'Get-over-here.' Just in time to then grab his tail again to cover his lap. He was sure Christof would turn to walk in the other direction if he let everything hang out free in the wind. Then again....wasn't the Igor doing the same? Guess Calder could suggest skinny dipping in the future without any problem.  HP: 2 + 5 = 7 WTF YOU LUCK SOB!

Savior had never been more happy to see Holly in her life, and she moved to get out of Natalia's arms so she could embrace her friend. Unfortunately the movement only served to cause her to shriek out in pain, and she writhed in Natalia's embrace. After a few spasms she shook her head and got herself down, refusing to admit it hurt so much, and when Holly held out a pill towards her Savior looked it at with a blank expression.
"Eat, right." She was supposed to take the pill, right? She'd heard them talking about it earlier, that they would heal, and so Savior reached to take her mask off and open her mouth. The charred piece of hardened flesh hit the ground and Savior opened her mouth wide, her jaws spreading to the point that she could have easily swallowed the head of the boil and ghouls around her with limited effort. Thankfully all she wanted was the pill and her jaws snapped shut.
The wounds didn't hurt anymore, she could stand up on her own....but she was still quite naked. At the very least she knew what she needed to do now. "Nataliayah, Tiebults, Shims. Thank yews. Savior has Horree too, happies." Her mouth wasn't moving at all as she spoke, the mask still off and on the ground, and the raspy, feedback-like voice seemed to issue from her throat rather than the lips that weren't really lips.
"So....nows. Savior helps youse all."
HP: 30/30
Status: Taking Pumpkin Pill!
Effect: Full heal of HP, from 8 to 30

 Barth had never cared for baptisms, and certainly not in fire. He didn't move. How could he? The fire burned hot, and the pain rolled over his body, driving him past his limit. He felt his personal defenses buckle. But the thorns stayed wound in front of Calder. Calder moved in front of him.
There was a different fire, filled with energy. Burning, Barth sucked up the Fear like a dry sponge.
He remained standing. Wobbly. Barely. But standing.
Dead, so much death, everything was blacker than black.
He was tired of being naked.
The wall of thorns twisted, and drew back to him like a rewinded tape, creeping up his legs, hips, torso, chest, arms. They grew thicker. Winding. Not hurting him, always turned outward just so, never pressing hard enough to scratch.. And then the thorns withered, but did not turn to dust, and hung from him like him like cloak.
Barth gave his new sleeves a cool examination before looking back at the igor, expression oddly chilly. "We should go to him."HP: 7-8 (protected by Calder for 2) +5 = 4

Sepheran had lost himself among the chaos of the fight. Enemies continued to change and allies took to fighting each other. Why? Why must this always happen? Why couldn't they have a decent field trip for once? Was it too much to ask? The least they could do is make an obvious enemy to fight right? Why did they have to fight Red? It didn't make any sense.
The baslisk didn't even want to fight anymore, it was becoming too much for him, he just wanted to go back to the school...but of course that meant getting through this fight whether he wanted to or not. Whatever happened to Red...it seemed to overtake her spewing flames down at the whole mass of people. Sepheran could only lift his arms in pitiful defense...though something was odd. He had been waiting for the pain to erupt...but no such pain seemed to hit him. An odd feeling did shift within himself but looking himself over he didn't seem to have a single burn. Maybe he had been lucky...now if only that luck will continue so he could survive this predicament.
