Aaaaaaand forgot to roll again.

The first King's Quest game was one of the first games to have actual color. Came out in 1982. And it's plot was to get three treasures and become king. If you've ever played Peasant Quest, that game is a direct parody of the first King's Quest.

I have only one thing to say to your explanation. Oro?

King's Quest Wikipedia entry

I remember my dad having one of the earliest games when I was really, really little. I want to say King's Quest 2, but I'm not sure. I became interested in the series recently, especially King's Quest 6, regarded as the best in the series by many.
What I ment by oro was that I ment what was it about not...well what you explained.

Donkey Kong 64. I know that song anywhere. Mainly because I'd play it a lot but never got close to beating it I think.

Ah. Sorry, I don't recognize Japanese words right off the bat.

King's Quest 6 is about Prince Alexander longing for Princess Cassima, who he met at the end of the fifth game and immediately fell in love with. He gets a vision of Cassima longing for him as well via the royal Magic Mirror, and sets off to her homeland, the Land of the Green Isles, to see her in person and confirm these feelings. But he is shipwrecked by the horrible currents between the islands, and ends up on the Isle of the Crown with hardly anything left. And even when he gets proof of his identity, the guards aren't letting him into the castle to see Cassima, as she is apparently mourning the deaths of her parents, while the not-so-subtlely-evil vizier is apparently going to marry her himself. You have to find out what is going on, restore harmony between the various islands, and save Cassima before the Vizier can carry out his evil plans.

I came in expecting colorful backgrounds that still hold up, and cleverness all around. I got plenty of both, and I am very happy. Not to mention, the look of everything reminded me of how I do my own artwork, what with detailed backgrounds and certain colors exposed for greater effect.
Japanese? Well I did get "Oro?" from Rurouni Kenshin. But Oro means gold in Italian.

Sounds like the plot for so many other games. But what can you do? How many games plots even seem orignal now. Sounds intresting though.

Most plots sound the same on paper. It's the execution that makes games unique. King's Quest 6 is a fun game that draws a lot of inspiration from myths and fairy tales. It can be hard to figure out certain puzzles at times, but it moves at a decent pace and requires some genuine thought. I can't remember the last time I had to draw a map while playing a game.
It also has a few different endings depending on what you do. Have you ever played point and click adventures?
Sounds like a combo of The Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil (The multi endings not zombies) and Berserk. The oldest games I play was that Pong game. But if were talking color than that be Super Mario Bros. If a game needs a map than that would be the first Legend of Zelda game. At least now were told where to find the temple instead running around getting lost all the time.

What I meant by requiring a map was the fact that there is a labyrinth in this game, and in these types of games, you tend to due quite frequently and instantly if you make a mistake. I'm not saying it's better or worse, it's just something I haven't done for a while in a game, and a few older games required you to write down locations and places and stuff, or else you would get confused.

Well the Zelda game I mean the entire world map. I don't know if I needed a map on a labyrinth. I probably just ran around randomly and by chance found it. But I know what you mean in a way.

It's a reference to a graphic novel series called Scott Pilgrim, it's a love-letter to video game culture and fans. It's been adapted into a recent movie, probably the most faithful graphic novel adaption I've seen yet with an actual good franchise video game tie-in.
