She was aliiveee!

Well that was being a little dramatic - her wails of pain had been very evident of her living status, but he couldn't help but tease internally. She was dramatic, but he already kind of knew that. She had sort of told him he smelt nice in a sort-of-yet-not-creepy way. Or, apparently. He was still trying to figure out the whole not really but actually real thing. She wasn't wearing his shirt anymore (in fact, he had -apparently- given his shirt to a mop.)

Sighing a bit, he stood up again, going to shrug off his new fancy intermediate coat (look at this finnnneee border) and offered it to her, knowing that she'd be just as exposed as she was in the pseudo-dream.

"Oui, Je suis Dorian. You are woken up for real 'zis time, so you don't 'ave to worry about falling asleep again, or sometin'" He offered up her, going to check over his notes, tilting his head a little to the side. "Lydia Styles, non? Death Division, hm? I 'aven't 'ad enough exposure to fully talk about them, but it's a good division, as far as I know." He voiced out, before going to crouch near her again. "Any questions you 'ave for me?"

She just needed a minute. Really, that was all she needed. A moment to process what was happening. She had been...asleep. Dreaming, inside a pod. She had dreamed...well, it was fuzzy. Everything was, including her limited vision. Oh well, nothing to do about that just now, so she pushed herself up, and gave the man speaking to her a broad smile.

"Dorrrrryyyyy. How very excellent to see you, er, for real this time, I hope!" She exclaimed, suddenly as bright and cheerful as ever, despite the pain that still throbbed across her body from where she landed.

She looked at the offered coat for only a moment. "Ohhhhhhhhh, fancy-shmancy~" She reached out her hands to take it, then noticed how, well, dirty her hands were, and snatched them back.

"No no, I couldn't. I would get it all dirty." She sighed, looking down at herself only to see the tears in her clothes, the singes, the blood stains. All of her own cuts and bruises had healed over time, her skin paling over the year spent in that small glass chamber...

"Death?" She looked up again, having not actually gotten to her feet yet. "Like Shu? Oh wait, is she in this dream-maybe-not-a-dream? I do hope so." She continued to smile, and even though she had not accepted the jacket, held her hands out to Dorian.

"Yes, my first question is, will you help me to my feet, please?"

Harland tried not to laugh when she said the word tush, and did in fact turn red just like she did. He was easy to make blush. And she'd called him nice... Harland's smile came back in full force, and it almost seemed transformative. Instead of looking exhausted and a little hounded, he looked like he'd just stepped right out of a good dream he was having.

And she was right, he really did like cowboy things.

"Would you normally give me a fake name?" he asked, "I mean, I can pretend not to know your real one," he added, very seriously, his eyes betraying the good mood he was in. He smiled as she snuggled into it. Lilac. A pretty name, for a very pretty girl. He felt his heart flutter, looking down at her: he just wanted to keep her safe, this flower of a Hunter. "A club, or a lifetime commitment," he said, with the shrug of one shoulder. For him, it was everything, when he'd had nothing left to go back to in his old life.

He laughed when she asked if he was Prince Phillip. "If your prince would keep you safe, then yeah, I can be that," he replied, his sunny smile wide. He tipped his hat to her with his free hand.

It seemed to plummet downhill very fast, and Harland noted the change in her face. His heart was in his throat. He really did mean that he'd protect her, as much as he could, this new Hunter. But she didn't seem to understand what was happening, and he knew that could be overwhelming. He'd just have to show her the weapon's cove, before she really freaked out. It would, hopefully, start to make sense.

"Sure, I'm glad for it. Sorry that your dreams weren't peaceful," he said, softly. "We'll stop at the cove, then I'll take you outside, if you're not sick of me," he joked. He looked straight ahead, tonguing the inside of his labret, unwilling to admit how sad he would be if the beautiful Hunter did get sick of him. He circled an arm around her shoulders and squeezed lightly, before dropping it and hooking his thumbs into the loops of his belt.

He showed her the way to the room in which she'd have her weapon choose her.

Bradley grinned and gave a wave back. "I sure will! See ya in a few!" He took a breath steadying himself and then marched right into the darkness like he owned it.

"Oui, c'est moi dans la chair." Dory answered, grinning openly.

"Shu?" He replied, his eyebrows raising a little as he thought it over, before nodding a bit, giving her a thumbs up. "She's real, I 'ave seen her around before, sort of." He admitted, scratching his chin a little, watching her refuse the pristine coat, her hands all dirty and healed up from whatever it was again that she went through.

Pulling at his own coat, he dropped it a little less gracefully on the newly crowned Death Huntress, giving her a lop sided grin. "I do my own laundry. You'll get used 'aving dirt on 'dem, they don't stay clean in this job." He offered to her, before going to offer his arm to her when he was certain that she had put on the intermediate coat.

After he had pulled her up to her feel (as well as someone who just woke up,) he tugged her own coat for the time being, he found it a little smaller than his own, the scythes on the back much different than his own misty designs. Not enough blue either.

"Death ees . . . reconnaissance. Spies'n s**t. Lotta' smart people who don go to Life, I t'ink." He explained, "I'm in mist, we do e'erything, n' yet nothing completely, y'know? Jack of all Trades. Life is Science, Moon is defense, Sun is offense. Buncha' big burly mean people there." He stated, ticking them off on the gloved hand in front of him.

"You become official when you meet your weapon." He figured.

So much for refusal. A jacket was tossed at her, or rather, on her, and she soon found herself blinded by the white fabric that hung over the front of her face. A muffled voice rang out from behind the jacket, to say "Vous êtes trop gentil!" Before she pulled it off, her hair now somehow even more messy then it had been before, sticking out in all directions, curls falling in front of her eyes. She could only imagine how terribly crazy she must look.

A look that likely only got worse when she grinned at him, slipping on the slightly too big jacket, pushing back the sleeves before reaching up to take the offered arm, hauling herself rather shakily to her feet, clinging to him while waiting for that unsteadiness and horrible sense of vertigo to pass. "Oh excellent. I should like to meet her again, for the first time." She had another glance around at the pods, at the faces behind them. Another difference between the dream; she was the only one awake (besides Dory).

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh spying!! Yes, that I can do....I think!" It felt like something she could do, though she couldn't quite pinpoint why she felt that way, her memories still a haze that revealed very little to her.

When he explained what he did in his division, her grin broadened. "Oh you must be so talented, then!" She gushed, clinging to him tighter and leaning in, pressing her head against his shoulder.

Wait what.

"Weapon?" She asked, pulling away, blinking in surprise. Not at the weapon comment so much as well, how he had said it, as though she were simply about to be introduced to a living thing rather then an object.

"I'm just doin' my job." He stated when he heard the muffled response, lightly standing back so she could fix herself up, listening to her carefully as he went back to the check list, double-checking to see what he had left to tell her.

"Eh, I 'old up on my own, really. I couldn't pick a job like the autre, I'm 'appy floatin' around as w'atever is needed, oui?" He explained, going to shrug a bit as he sighed out of his nose, bring a finger up to his head and tapping it lightly, looking at her.

"Is 'ard to explain, but you will understand when you meet 'im or 'er. There's a special place that 'unters visit after they are awoken, I can take you towards it, if you can walk, but I can't follow you. I 'ope you understand." He offered, going to offer his arm to her, eyebrows raising a little.

Let's hope whoever she meet is as nice as I am, right?

Yes, Justice, I can hope.

The first thing he felt was a cold rush of air as something opened up. The second thing he felt was the fact he was feeling something and realized he was no longer asleep. Rex wanted to say 'five more minutes' but that probably wasn't going to happen because his body felt slightly stiff, like he'd been sleeping far too long already.

Brown eyes opened to see an oval door was opened before him and he let out a pathetic mewling noise because there was light and light in your eyes first thing in the morning (was it morning?) was a horrible thing. Someone obviously needed to be shot for leaving the light on. Paying more attention to things now that he closed his eyes, Rex heard some strange whirring noises and possibly a voice or two echoing somewhere in the distance.

"..Hello?" He called out towards the voices, wondering if he would get an answer. Nope, still not going to open his eyes. He was going to ask whoever it was whispering to turn off the light and let him get like five more years of sleep, despite what his body wanted.

"D'you 'ave an eight?"

Considering the fact that this was now Dorian's fifth time here (sixth, if you counted his own, but it didn't it), and this time he decided that he was going to drag a certain someone along. Since Chris had been available to snag away from whatever duty he was going to be at that day, he had become that 'certain someone'.

Dory may have promised him stupid card games and s**t like that also.

Hearing the door of the pod a little further down open up, the shorter Mist Hunter perked up, his eyebrows raising as he went to look in the direction of the newly awoken hunter. He was actually surprise there wasn't any swearing, or whining or anything of the like.

"Looks like sleeping beauty ees awake." He stated, turning back to Chris. "We 'ave to pause our game, and go see la belle princesse~" he sing-songed a little, before going to stand up, and wander over to the new hunter. Whoever it was, it was obvious that he would rather stay in his pod, the way he was flopped back soon.

"Allo. Welcome to Deus, Monsieur. . ." a pause as he looked down at the board in his hands. "Rex? S'a weird name. Ça fait un peu comme le nom d'un chien." He murmured at the end, before shrugging. "I am Dorian. 'E is Chris." He stated, pointing at the taller hunter.

Best to take baby steps.

Chris pursed his lips, looking over his cards as if he didn't already know exactly what was in his hand. He considered it a part of the game, really. "Go fish, sucka."

To be completely honest, Chris couldn't even remember what he'd really been scheduled to do. It was probably something boring. Not that this was a barrel of fun, but card games with friends trumped actual work any day. Which was why he groaned when Dory perked towards an opening pod. He was supposed to escape work here. "Tell them to go back to sleep," he said, rising from his chair and approaching.

He put his hands on his hips and examined their newest recruit from head to toe as Dory made introductions. "Howdy," he greeted with a wink.

What assaulted his ears next was a very, very thick accent that sounded kind of like French. Now, being from Texas he didn't hear a lot of French, just on shows that he was sure were completely fake and paid actors to play normal people, so if this accent was real, Rex didn't know. But this accent said his name was odd, so he opened an eye and stared at the two men before him and just squinted, eyes fuzzy and watering because of the stupid lighting.

"...Rex Marskley," he croaked, bringing a hand to rub his eye. He felt weak, honestly. Or sluggish was a better word. "Deus, huh? Uh.. 's great, I guess." Great. Wonderful. He was cold and still kind of confused about things but he supposed that would get cleared up. "Dorian... Chris. Howdy right back. Got it, coffee?" Okay, now he had a Southern accent, but it honestly sounded worse when he first woke up. Not that they would know that, but still! He didn't sound this bad all the time.

"Oh 'ey. 'e may be better off talkin' t' you." Dory stated after Rex finally introduced himself - it was kind of like being stuck in one of those wild-west movies that would show up on that crappy day time tv channel kind of feeling. It was going to be interesting explaining a things.

"I wish we 'ad brought coffee, but I don' think they like w'en we do - Life would 'ave my 'ead." He admitted, before lightly patting Chris' shoulder, giving him a little look over, before giving Rex a look over also, clearing his throat. "Think you can 'elp 'im out? I don't think I'm strong enough. 'e needs to get on 'is feet for a bit, blood flow an's**t." He explained, before going to look down at the sheet on the pad of everything that explained Rex, or what was needed to be explained to him, as best as he could.

"D'you remember being offered a job - doin' a kin'a preliminary test t'come and work for a new fancy army? Well, you're 'ere. It says 'ere that you're in Death Division - it mus' be my lucky week -" he trailed for a moment, thinking about how he had Lydia already, and now he was waking up Rex. Two deaths in a row. "But there's five Divisions. I could go on an' on about them, but do you 'ave any questions?"

Chris raised his brows. He hadn't expected to get that thick an accent in return. Far thicker than his own, at least. "Aw yeah, more southern boys to show you Canadians how to really party," he laughed, elbowing Dory in the side.

He held out a steady arm to Rex for him to grab onto. "Up and at 'em, southern belle. You're in for an adventure."

Seemed like he was going to be the brawn to Dory's brain today. Accurate.

Rex only grinned and gave a wink at Chris before Dorian started talking again and he focused on figuring out words with that accent. Right, well, this was going to be interesting at least. Thinking back, yeah, Rex did remember something like that. "Yeah I.. remember that." Rex took a deep breath and then looked around a bit more before shrugging. "Uh.. 'm assumin' Life is one of those divisions you were talkin' about. That means Death, the one I'm in 's two. So ...there's three more."

Pausing to think about it again, he shrugged. "A few but none that spring out at me as important other than where do I go sleep." That wasn't to say he was tired, but he was cold and wanted to get warm. Moving would help with that. "And are ya'll just waitin' 'round here waitin' fer others ta wake up like mother hens?"

"Sometimes is our job." Dory admitted, giving a non-chalant little shrug at the question about being a mother hen. "I've woken up five already, you kinn' jus' go with the flow." He stated - not to be boastful, it was just something that happened. Maybe they figured Dory was the best introducer - which was a bald-faced lie. Half of Deus could barely understand him.

"I could outdrink you in a 'eartbeat." He also stated to Chris, giving him a wild grin, before going back to the situation at hand.

"Toute façon alors, the other t'ree factions are Moon, Sun et Mist. Good guy Chris 'ere is a Moon, they deal with defense n' s**t. Buff people, they're cool. Sun is offense, and they're pretty strong too, mais, can't 'ave one without the other. I'm a mist, th'best division -" He quipped in at the end, going to lightly tug at the collar of his beautiful intermediate coat, flashing the new hunter a look. "We are th' Jack of all Trades, we do it all, baby." A wink.

"You get a dormatory, et a fancy coat like me, et a weapon, which neither Chris or I can 'elp with, but it's not that 'ard."
