Not quite. You should be able to attack, too, but since there's only red guys, you can only attack your own team mates. See if that works.

When you select "Attack", their range is shown in green tiles. For right now, their range is only 1, which means only the four diagonally adjacent tiles can be hit.
Oh, shoot... check the control info. Did I forget to say what the key does?

Alright, good. Don't worry, there will be an optional tutorial near the beginning of the game to teach anyone who hasn't played a tactical RPG before.
